Not exactly familiar with Windows stuff, but that looks about correct.
Just to be sure, are you absolutely sure that the target process has the same bitness as the tracer(?), and that the address you provided is valid within the target process?

I'd imagine you could get task manager to tell you? Or look at the exe-s?
Something like Process Explorer might be good for this?

Yes. As you noted, the error you got indicated that mixing and matching 32-bit and 64-bit tracer/tracee(?) doesn't work out well?

Okay. And where'd you get the address you're attempting to write to from? How'd you make sure it's actually mapped within the address space of the target process?
And what's the exact error you get from ReadProcessMemory?
