Ive said it before and ill say it again, adding a 3th weapon slot for melee makes the game harder to get into for new players. The more input a player has to learn to control when they start playing for the first time, the more people will be ''scared away'' by Strinova complexity.
This is especially true for the large portion of the playerbase who gets into strinova from other Anime and Casual games.
Having to learn a unique weapon, secondary weapons, melee weapons, a character ability, secondary ability and passive, and also learn an extra ability and grenades... on top of the movement and stringification. Is a lot for most people.

Strinova has become a casual game for veterans only.
Everything competitive has been destroyed, while players have to learn so much that its not casual friendly anymore either.

I think you can rebind this to some key you never use as a workaround, but disabling melee weapon is not a good idea in long-term.

Another approach I can see to explore is Call of Duty-like, where you need to hold melee button to manually switch to melee. Maybe that works?

Devs locked it as the third slot to sell melee weapon skins, but despite it being a practically functional weapon unlike other FPS games where they are mostly accessories, they did not implement it in a way that is actually easy for us players to use
I think quick melee where a melee attack can be done with one button is fine, but the operations to memorize increase again

Melee mechanics in Strinova is just downright primitive. There is no depth or complexity in it, especially outside of sword clash.
Instead, with 3rd melee weapon it becomes easier. How? Before 3rd weapon there was an option to endure both mags of main and secondary weapons in stringify mode and plan accordingly. Now you always have melee weapon and can spam attack button if your mags is empty.
I don't mind having 3rd weapon. It just doesn't make game more complex.

i think people just not used to this game suddently have what every other shooter have...a melee weapon as 3rd weapon slot...however i do say for what they supposed to be ...a last sort when you run dry both primary and secondary they are kinda too powerfull (like if i see you use skillissues spit i will just chop you) (just too powerful for a last desperate resort)

What other shooter has a melee weapon or even secondary weapon under keybinding number 3?
I have never played a competitive game that has this. Overwatch, Apex, Counter Strike, Battlefield, Call of Duty, The Finals, Deadlock, Valorant. Non of these games have an extra secondary weapon as a 3th key/slot.
Its akward to say the least, pushing grenades to key 4 and 5.
On top of that having a 3th ability now bloats the game even more.

people hate this change in s6 because it such a sudden change to one of the fundamentals that they dont have time to adjust their muscle memory from it ..this same shit happens with them reducing recoil across the board where people suddently find them selves control too much (you want swap to nade but you switch to sword instead)

since before when you have to manualy equip it in the menu and thus you lost your pistol for a melee weapon trading off a ranged finisher for a melee weapon seems rather bad but after this change suddently this downside dont exist anymore

It has nothing to do with muscle memory, for any normal person the 4 key is reachable without taking your fingers off the WASD keys. While the 5th key and beond forces you to stop using the movement keys properly.
This is why for 30+ years competitive fps games have always kept to a limit of 4 keys for the most important things, and start adding Q-E-Z-X-C for other things.
Especially in highly competitive play, keybindings beond 4 has never taken off. Because fractions of a second matter in winning or losing.

hmm that fair but doesnt mean to remove it all togehter how about say changes the default map to something like g key so it still there but it doesnt say make people suffer because now ult is in 6th key

while we on topic of default key map i would really really really really really really wish they change toggle to string or glide ..or toggle anything in general to hold to perform action that one right there disgust me the most when i first start to play the game i dont understand why toggle to control is a industry standards this even exist in delta force

I doubt at this point the game is even developed by people who actually play it, strinova has such basic issues that anyone who plays games would see and could fix. Im not sure discussing anything is worth the time honnestly, its mostly venting since noone reads this other than the community thats still active.

having 2 animations in general sucks, its also not visualized properly so no counter

If the animations were like in the sword mode, it would have been much better. More fun to use and play against.

no reason to run skill issues spit when you have something that take even less skill @upbeat urchin and i think it deals like same amount or 10 damage in fortnite (getting pickaxe"d in fortnite is like getting beat to death by a banana)

Either way the main issue is the core gameplay getting destroyed, balance is a ''nice to have'' that has left the game since season 3.
