Yeah, also saw this, there is just not much kanami lore out there i guess, so not much to work with
she had a brush with eika in one of the pv, but thats all i can think of

We know she's an idol who's all about spreading happiness & she really means that too. Something that's more than nice, but vital with the Collapse Syndrome pandemic. She does volunteer work with collapse syndrome patients to stave off their symptoms (she says this in the tutorial when she & Ming arrive late to help Lawine).
She also hates any dishonesty or attempts to hide things from her. Besides her combat lines about not hiding she says this to the navigator in that Sweetdream Carnival event. "Oh, and Navigator... don't dodge Kanami." Can't wait 'til we have her in dorm. Next season I think! 🤞

But I mean, I'm support level 7 in the dorm & Michele hasn't mentioned her own sister once since she was added later.

in terms of similarities, its just the standard pus uniform designs, cant find any cat themes on leona, and michele is just chunni
their eyes is slightly different, michele's father fell to collapse synonym, meanwhile leona also has a father, but was not mentioned that he shared similar fate

michele also has a last name in the chinese version, Michele Li, Li being her father's last name
