#[Vol. 21] Guide Spotlight - Showcase your skills with Yvette
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
throw bear on the cart/ important choke holds, enemies take 33 percent more damage when weakened by ice.
you can use the bear to gather intel for your team, might not be the best use of it, but its an idea.
you can shoot through a friendly bear, use them as a shield!
Use your bear as a shield for your team, give a power class some help (basically same as the above tip)
what do we do
Sticker…
Use Fay as Shield
Use it as Probe in Demoltion
exit controlling bear and max the Spread control, magazine capacity, sprint speed and shoot like playing Contra
dont spend entire match on bear and think of it more as util
throw bear = win game, ready where is my skin 🤑🤙
Until what day can we post the guide?
no otherway than standing behind bear and shoot them all :D
Use bear as a distraction and move to the other objective
find the camping audrey with bear
hide behind bear like a rat and cheese enemies
Use Bear to foresee enemy, if they appear get back and spread ice on special spots
Well i will share what i kinda know about her
Yvette is good agent while using her teddy bear u can use him as shield to cover urself while attacking and for early use it to check the opponent site to know where they can be and if they rushing A as example rush the teddy bear to freeze the floor to make them can't take cover easily and can easily be shooted her invisible passive doesn't work when using teddy bear so make sure u hiding in a good place
Well that what i know
You can make invisible up the car on scort, very effective on mid-far fights.
That for demolition
use ult while allies fight
Use baer as shield and biu biu biu
Getting shot down
find spots to go invisible and surprise your enemies
I forget about her ult use it in team fights and especially when taking a site back but done waste it against 2 opponents when there's a big team fight use it
use the bear to rush the bomb when they're planting, helps a lot cause it just snds them up and prevents a plant
ice is also extremely underrated, people don't realize that it makes the enemy fragile; they take more damage so if you're in a gun fight and the enemy team is on ice you're at a massive advantage
bear as shield works very well too, you can shoot through the bear but enemy can't
use her bear is good support and tank too
have fay ice the enemies that are fighting your allies
I like to activate Fay and have it run at a player, and while it's running/ player gets thrown into air I shoot them. He makes a good distraction >:3
Fay also makes a great shield, and to ice up areas where players are often in. Very helpful in demolition when a team is about to plant. Have Fay ice that area and they will slide all over and struggle to plant the bomb.
Yvette in general has a gun that's fun to use. Very little kickback and fires powerfully and fast.
I hope someone see my guide useful lol
use the bear to disrupt the planter
It is very important to shoot from behind Fay's shoulder
You should also use Fay as a recon in order to see in advance where the enemies are pushing
She has a really good gun, use it.
Is the guide is in the form of video, image, wall of text or simple discussion here?
Just share what u know about Yvette as guide
use Fay to shield Kokona and get free angles
Oh okay thanks
For Yvette, try to look for good rat spots as well to utilize her passive, theres a couple of good spots in windy town
banzai charge fay into enemy(X
What is this
Yvette is one of my favorite characters in the game and I love the adorable hoodie she wears. With Fay before her awakening I usually use it to see which site the enemy team is going. Once her awakening “Teddy Assault” is triggered, I wait to see which site they are coming from and use Fay is throw the enemy in the air to slow them down so my teammates can rotate all together and kill them more easily in the ice :3
Some examples on Yvette's bear holding site
Nice
use the bear as a shield, as you can shoot through it and the enemy cannot
use the bear at the start of the round to push up and see if the enemy is attacking the site youre on
ice spots that the enemy is going to try and push through or peek at you from, as its harder for them to control their movement on peeks when sliding around
Her freezing ability is powerful, especially in demolition scenarios. She controls the bear, which acts as a shield, protecting her from gunfire while she defuses bombs.
im qualified to give tips
Throw Fay at the start of the round for info. If you see them, deploy ice field. if not either hold the choke point with fay or dismiss it and rotate if the enemies are pushing the other site.
Use Fay as cover as you can shoot through Fay but they can't shoot you.
When using Fay, make sure you have cover, otherwise they can rush your body
While using Fay's dash, u can mmediately return to Yvette as Fay will still be dashing to the direction you sent Fay.
Fay as shield and shoot through to get kills
Demolition
Go invisible first in a safe spot in Demolition then use Fay and pilot him at the opposite route your team is going. if you see an enemy notify team they are taking such route. some maps have good hiding spots to go invisible leaving you out of site. In invisible state wait for the planter to come by and let them start planting and then take them out or wait for them to plant, eliminate them, then disarm. I've done this several times and it catches enemy teams off guard for easy wins.
Escort
The upgrade to make Fay throw snowballs is really good to disrupt mobility without having him go to far from you risking him to be taken out. Her Ultimate save and drop it on the vehicle when enemies are pushing very aggressively.
Weapon
Shoulder aim is the best way to maneuver her weapon. Do not aim down sights. Stay in the fight and don't stay too far. Her damage drops being that she's an SMG at long distances.

Yvette's gun is arguably one of the best in the game, has good damage and fire rate. Yvette's recoil pattern is a ? pattern when ADS'ing, and has very little recoil. Her average kill time is about 2.5 seconds for a full armor without buffs. Yvette is great for controlling during fights, and should be playing support for the team when possible; when using faye mid fight, make sure to position faye as best as possible. You can freeze a corridor, chokepoint, or site entrance. On bomb sites, faye can also stop a plant by running into them. Yvette's 3rd Awakening is best for when you want to hold multiple lanes without micro-managing.
In ranked you want to play on support, and can use Faye early info if you get the -10 second cooldown. If you get 3 charges, save faye for fights. Yvette is great at close ranges, so ADS'ing isnt really needed.
Faye can also automatically spot enemies without needing to be used, which is great for early info. On maps like Base 404, you can hold mid with Faye, and be at B site watching the pixel gap. When working with your team, you can use faye as a shield for your team to advance, or place around a fight to give the enemies a nuisance. Yvette also works well with Michele, and is a great duo comp.

Put the bear in front and then shoot
too many people just say bear in front and shoot
theres more to her guys...
Weapons : suitable for Short and medium ranges, because of its rate of fire, good accuracy and large magazine wins in every shootout
Abilities : Bear - forms an ice zone
Enemy players slide and take 40% more damage.
Ultimate: Reduces the rate of fire and imposes fragility
Tips&Tricks: During acceleration, the Yvette bear throws enemies up and forces them to turn into 2D, convenient in order to drop the bomb installation
The Yvette bear is completely shot by you and a friendly team, use it wisely.
In order not to waste time moving the bear to another point, you can set a running trajectory and not waste time moving it.
Game style: Because of the weapons, it allows you to play aggressively, Abilities are well implemented in a team game and play a big role in defense
Character Difficulty: 8/10
Guide from Amagai #1 Maddleine
I think one of the underrated uses of Yvette bear is using her bear to fly the enemy, there is so much potential with it. You can deny the enemy entry, and also cancel the enemy planting without risk. It was very good in the right hand
Sry my English so bad
How to play with Yvette~
Yvette Cons and Pros of consideration for players who wishes to try.
Cons: 🤍
🤍
- Weapon belong to SMG Class whose damage does not surpass lots of other weapon in game.
- Require certain level of accuracy to maintain a decent output of damage.
- Beginner who get too absorb in controlling the bear will often get pick out by enemy due to lack of map awareness.
- Give free armour to Ming user who has activated ultimate.
- You will still received damage from aoe despite hiding behind Fay.
- Require certain level of multi tasking for Yvette and Fay to shine brightly.
- Despite being able to go invisble after not moving for a short period of time, after enemy enter her range, her silhouette will become more obviously seen to the enemy as they get closer.
Pros: 🤍
🤍
- Weapon may have low damage but insanely high accuracy due to low recall and spread.
- With awaken 3, your bear (FAY) will seek target within a certain range of its vision on its own allowing you to make plays you never know you could.
- With the right skill pick, Fay can dash up to 3 time on its own in exchange for not being able to reduce the skill cooldown.
- Fay have 700 health which can act as a shield to guard yvette small figure when defusing bomb, in 1 vs 1 situation if you have awaken 3, Fay can dash towards enemy if they get too close.
- Able to stop enemy from planting bomb just by using FAY alone if you feel unsafe to peek at enemy.
- Enemy on your icy terrain become easier to kill as they take extra damage.
- Summoning Fay with awaken 3 in mid fight allow you to turn around sticky situation or 1 vs 1 situation.
- Controlling Fay at the start of game allow for early scout to buy time and give information.
- Fay can literally body block enemy allowing your ally to get better aim at enemy.
- Holding shift while shooting make your shots insanely accurate as seen in the video.
- Reducing enemy rate of fire, weapon usability and causing them to slip with your ultimate in team fight.
- When invisible, any skill that scan (lawine's dart, kanami's radar, reichi's wall etc) will not be able to detect Yvette unless they enter her range.
Tips and Tricks that can be try if you have yet to try it: 🤍
🤍
- Smoke grenade + Awaken 3 and 3 dash on Fay in a enclose area can bring about surprising miracle.
- Tattletale will be a good option to have at least when you're controlling fay, you will be alerted if enemy pass by the area marked with tattletale.
- Place Fay infront of your sniper teammate or Audrey to give them extra layer of protection. (Fay infront follow by audrey shield and lastly standing at the back is your sniper.)
- Fun character to play around with once you learn to multi task with her awaken 3 Fay in mid battle.
- Placing Fay in a corner while having awaken 3 will force enemy to either clear that corner risking their back facing you for free kill, or have their back facing fay and get send flying into the air while you take free shot at the enemy and buy time for ally.
Use the bear to scout in the beginning of the match
The bear can hit most second floor by hitting its base level
Dont rely on the bear and keep him alive to use as scouting in end game to check corners
Regarding her gun, I would say it's pretty underwhelming but Fay's ability to fragile people makes up for it. With it, you can pretty much shred people within seconds if they have the fragile debuff. Personally speaking her abilities in the late end game really shine as you can make the enemies a lot miserable with Fay. In late game, Just using Fay's ability to ice the site can make the offense miserable as it will be hard to plant. You can also stall enemy plants if you use Awakening 3 or just don't get any Awakening 2 or 3 if you want full control. in this case, it can help your teammates to buy time and rotate to fight for retake. having full control can also let you use the Fay as a Body Block, you can use it to protect your teammates or yourself while defusing or use it offensively by hiding behind the bear as the enemies can't hit you until the bear is dead. Here are some of the examples of using Fay to hold down a site
Gun: Yvette's gun can be very strong but don't challenge people at long range because you're gonna be outclassed by ARs and DMRs.
Passive: You should still try to hide yourself somewhere safe, but it can still be helpful to avoid getting shot, especially if you picked a bad spot to control fay in or the enemy found an angle you didn't anticipate. With its recent buff you can technically ambush an enemy moving into your range but it's risky.
Fay: Unless you get the cooldown upgrade you might want to check if enemies are pushing your site before placing him as you will have to wait a long time for cd if they pushed the other one. A2 is better at keeping him alive while A3 is better for playing around him and more aggressive plays. Use him as cover but don't forget to use your dashes as well. And remember to be mindful of enemy and ally positioning. If they're getting close to you and your team remember to get out of fay and fight. Your team needs your firepower, not just fay.
Ult: Remember that your ult not only makes enemies slip and vulnerable, but also reduces their rate of fire which is very strong. Usually it's best to save it for retakes, unless you can get multiple enemies and your team is ready to follow up.
Some tips to counter her:
Shoot fay! - I see a lot of people just ignoring him. Just because he can't shoot you doesn't mean he's not a threat.
Try to flank her while she's in fay - pretty obvious one, but she's completely defenseless while controlling fay so make sure to take advantage of it.
Use frag grenades to damage people hiding behind fay or use windstorm to get them to glide.
Try your best to avoid walking on ice.
multiple ways to play her, and they’re all viable
passive? hide behind a safe corner and throw snowballs at the enemies for your teammates. offensive? let fey be the best distraction tool and shoot your enemies while they’re distracted by the auto running bear. passive-offensive? let fey be your shield and shoot the enemies through the bear. no matter how you play her, the world is your oyster.
fey is a good early info gathering tool, use fey to scout and roam for enemies in the early rounds. with yvette’s new buff which reduces cooldown on deploying fey, use fey early round as soon as possible to get the most value out of it.
personal tips:
- dont ice rush entry points to site or open areas. it’s too early for that. enemies could easily rotate if they see a bear icing their entry to site and could rotate easily. situational of course, but try to ice site instead so it disrupts their bomb plant and movement in site
- good situation awareness is key. take a look at your minimap at all times in case the opponents rush to a different site and your team require support immediately, or when your teammate died at site and the opponents got a free kill off you because you were droning fey. know when and where to get off fey and render support to your team when necessary.
- use her ultimate on choke points where you are certain enemies would be present or about to rush. you can use it to buy time as much as possible
Stay close to your opponents to inflict maximum damage on them.
Important: If your opponents have Eika, be careful controlling your bear. Eika can accumulate heat shooting the bear.
Mendellena with Yvette could be an awesome combo for retake
always stick with a teammate if you are going to flank yvette and all
when aiming make sure the enemy does look at you or shoot you first
Yvette has the best shoulder-fire accuracy of all the weapons. Making her ideal for quick shoulder-fire engagement even at medium range
Personal experience with Yvette
So she is a control-based character who‘s basically disrupting enemies with using her bear. Shes more like good in strategic positioning and area control.
She has rlly strong battlefield control. Her kit revolves around slowing enemies, making them slippery, blocking pathways etc. Her playstyle focuses on Positioning most likely. She needs to stay in safe spots where she can place Fay effectively. She’s also good in Zoning & Crowd Control. Use her ice abilities to slow shots and basically trap enemies, forcing them into a disadvantage. Also, most people aren’t aware of her surprise plays. Her camouflage ability lets her reposition quietly for setups, which can confuse enemies from afar.
But to get to her key Abilities, which are her Q & Ultimate, let me tell you my personally experience. Q: basically deploys Fay in a targeted area you can choose and control. You press sprint, he will run towards one direction, click once again and you’re creating an ice zone that slows enemies and also creates a slippery iceplate. Place it in choke points, which are basically narrow corridors, objective areas etc. to control enemy movement und let them be seen by your team. It also works well if you want to play defensively by cutting off a retreat or offensively forcing enemies into bad fights by rushing towards them while they shoot teammates.
Her Ultimate is basically for securing a current side, which I often use if they want to plant to confuse them with the bear, and attack when they want to plant. Or you use it when they have already planted, and you want to confuse them by looking into the bear by placing it infront of the bomb, so you can easily defuse and they can’t shoot you.
Same with her q btw! Place it infront of you if you want to defuse safely, or use a smoke to have even more protection.
Her Q can also be used as shield for both you and your teammates. Enemies can hardly see through the bear and will most likely not completely aim at you, which gives you plenty of advantages.
In general, her weapon is more likely based on a phantom in my experience, which means her recoil isn’t that high. AIM towards neck/head if you want the best damage. I also recommend stringer with her, since you can easily spray again if you missed a few times :)
If going up against someone like Kanami, Fey can be pretty helpful in blocking vision by getting real close and standing right in front of them. Fey is also super useful by safely peeking around corners to see if an enemy is nearby. Another fun Fey fact is that if you begin to charge with him, you can return to Yvette and Fey will continue to charge ahead.
Fey is amazing for disrupting enemy attack with its icy attacks as well as great at scouting enemies. Yvette herself has a great weapon and can easily get a lot of kills, but her armor is low so never go alone. Always attack from the side or behind fey as extra armor. You may also use her to attack in a set aoe with her ultimate.
Stay in the mid lane and rotate fast, aid your teammate with the ice field, that it!
It's Possible to Ice areas 4 times. You need the First Awakening and the +1 Dash Upgrade. With Fey, you can use your three dashes to ice where you want, afterwards, you can position Fey to a spot that hasn't been iced on (Or a common spot for Attackers)
Now when you recall Fey or when the enemies shoot it down, the spot it was on gets iced, essentially icing 4 different spots which is a great advantage.
Treat yvette as 2 different agents
Yvette the gun duelist and Fay the playsetter
Use fay for ice fields and shield, can also be used to gain an advantage when dueling
Invisibility is helpful for hiding in blind spots on choke points, you can get a surprise knockdown just by standing still
Use her ult when the other side rushes, this ensures your teammates have a dueling advantage.
I'll just rush Awaken 3, setup by hiding so close Scissors spawn and if they come that way: throw Fay and start blasting. Otherwise you can literally flank them.
Made a guide about an alternative playstyle and some interesting passive usage
https://youtu.be/XUYr9rJ76XU?si=BWaBxDcKa_bHC6b-
Read the description!
Assassin Yvette is an alternative, situational, risk-heavy playstyle for people who are tired of playing default and/or want to try something new and fun.
This is NOT the best way to play this character!!
Please don’t run down your ranked games with this! :D
I encourage you to find your own spots either in customs or inga...
Place down the bear and play until it dies then rush in and finish everyone off
GUIDE FOR DEMOLITION (part 1)
When to pick Yvette:
I recommend choosing her on the following maps if you’re looking for the best options. but, if you just like her, play her whenever you want:
- Cauchy Street
- Windy Town
- Base 404
Skill Use:
- Yvette effectiveness relies on well placed ice fields that her team can capitalize on. Yvette ice fields cause the enemies to take extra 35% damage and can single handedly stop an enemy push when placed in the right locations.
- Avoid summoning Fei before you know where the enemies are, so they cant simply rotate or eliminate Fei, wasting your skill.
- Place ice fields in areas where the enemy is likely going to advance to get them into unfavorable positions. Don't sped too much time maneuvering Fei, instead, focus on supporting your team in skirmishes, your weapon is one of the best in the game .
- Fei can be used as a
hum-bear shield, being a mobile cover, since your team shots go through Fei, while enemy fire don't do the same. - Ult in active skirmishes or choke points, it reduces enemy fire rate and applies fragile status without needing to summon Fei. It can single handedly win rounds.
Passive:
- Yvette passive is soooooo underrated, here are a few tips:
- You can go invisible in a safe spot to control Fei without being seen.
- While invisible, wait for the enemy planter to catch them off guard, then shoot while they’re planting.
- Lawine Q won’t detect you if you’re invisible, but her A2 still shows a debuff line on invisible enemies.
(part 2)
General tips:
- Yvette weapon is exceptionally good at close range, so focus on engaging nearby enemies and avoid long-range fights.
- You want to have at least one person with you at all times, strength in numbers is massive in this game.
- Keep an eye on minimap at all times, map awareness is crucial.
- Hipfire has insanely precise acurracy with yvette, so you don't need to ads as often as other characters.
- Use and abuse paper mode!!! You can rotate faster, become harder to hit, and tanke ess damage.
- Left side covers are better since you are going to be less exposed.
- Use frag nades to finish down enemies that you cant shot.
Upgrades:
- First Round: Purchase headshot damage.
- Second Round: Always buy light armor, even if you must sell your first upgrade. Without armor in the second round you are going to die before you can be useful for your team.
- Subsequent Upgrades: Then invest in, in roughly this order: (focus on awakenings whenever possible)
- Magazine Capacity
- Spread Control / Ads Speed (optional)
- Cooldown reduction (-10s)
- Stealth Entry Speed (+50%)
- Stringfied Movement Speed
- Reload Speed
Awakenings:
Rush awaken1 and choose between a2 or a3 as needed
- Awaken 2: Best for quickly controlling space without exposing Fei to enemy fire.
- Awaken 3: Best for an aggressive playstyle, especially in tight corridors or when you don't have time to control Fei.
Grenades:
I recommend using Fragment + Interceptor combination on almost all maps. On Cauchy Street and Windy Town, swap the Fragment for slow nade.
obs: make sure you have a good balance of nades between your team
Thanks for reading! And please, play Yvette! She's the best character in the game! (At least in my heart! <3)
idk
1 control bear
2 run into enemies
3 explode
done👍
shoot enemy with her’s gun
- We’re have invisible so let stand where can look bomp side and take information for team.
- Bear can be a sheild
- Dont face to face with Eika or Ming.
- Skip if you are pro.
Don't bother upgrading for awakenings. Focus on gun upgrades before getting a2 or a3 since they aren't very good.
Stealth speed can be used to dodge scans tho which is pretty neat
Keep in mind bear is awful in gravity well for space lab and that's where a lot of fighting happens if offense doesn't commit to a site
woah, didnt know stealth can dodge scans
👍
Stealth ignores all reveal sources
use bear
hide behind bear
peek n shoot
win and get thumbs up from team
level up and get rewards
queue again and repeat
ohh, i see, i'm going to remove space lab from the list! Can i ask you who is a good controller to pick in space lab?
i mean shes still good in spacelab
He was talking about the gravity mid area, but you should never be holding it with yvette anyway, just hold the chokes surrounding it
Yugiri A2 can cover A main and the window to mid with one snail
or the choke in A main or B main
If you really like Yvette and one trick you would probably play the air vent A main so that your kokona can back up to site or play high low with you (sniper behind bear in main is kinda funny)
I see, thank you guys
Hide behind the bear is the best technique
you gotta actually play the character bro
Good boy fay attack
Yvette (Controller) (Painting Utopia Security)
Yvette is a Controller heiling from the PUS Faction who's main gimmick is applying ice onto the field which makes her and her team at an advantage when fighting in her domain. She wields a powerful yet accurate gun able to deal precise shots onto the enemy.
Passive Skill: Camouflage Yvette becomes camouflaged after standing still, remaining invisible to distant enemies and gradually visible to those closer.
- When in control of Fey (Q) make sure you're in a safe position as your stealth only covers you for only **16m **
So make sure to avoid high foot traffic areas such i.e. Windy Town Mid and effectiveness can vary slightly with "Stealth Entry Speed". - You will not break your camouflage by switch weapons, or controlling Fay
- Shoulder/ADS/Shooting will break your camouflage
- Make use for Yvette's camouflage in tricky spots to catch isolated targets i.e. in Cosmite teleporters won't see you in your camo state until they fully teleport in.
(Q) Active Skill: Teddy Assault: Yvette summons Fay, a controllable teddy bear that creates an icy surface upon colliding or on command, causing slipping and increased vulnerability.
- The meat or important part of Yvette's kit is her ability to apply ice onto the field. Enemies on ice will applied the * Fragile (Enemies take 35% increase damage whilst on top) & Slippery state (Enemies start sliding)
- Generally Yvette's usefulness is how well she can apply ice onto the field, you don't want to apply ice where your team is not able to capitalize on it or too early where it deters enemies from entering site. Usually when I hear the first sign of a plant or a short time before is when I start applying ice with Fay.
- You can use Fay to deny planters by making them force glide while also applying the slippery effect which makes it hard to re-plant as you may slip into open fire.
- Like any other defender you want to try to gain information on where the enemy team is at unlike other defenders Yvette can send her bear to do the scouting and recall Fay if no enemies are in sight
- When Fay self-destructs, is destroyed, or disappears, each unused sprint charge refunds 15% cooldown.
- To cover more ground with ice I usually don't crash Fay into a wall but press left-click again to prematurely end the charge before it hits the wall.
- While enemies have to shoot Fay to destroy him Yvette, on the other Yvette and allies can shoot through it making it an excellent shield in open fight scenarios where there is no cover or as a meat shield to protect a crucial bomb defusal
- Avoid being too engrossed in using Fay
**(X) Ultimate Skill: Frostfall: **Description: Yvette summons a Frost Bear that creates 3 Polar Zones in succession, causing enemies to slip, slowing their rate of fire, and reducing weapon usability.
- Yvette's Ultimate in simple terms causes enemies to slip, reduces their fire rate, and reduces their reload speed. Her ultimate feels a little wonky to use in my opinion but I try to use it as a deterrent on a cite since
Awakening 2 or Awakening 3 or None at all?
- Awakening 2 instead of dashing to apply ice you have snowballs in which you can aim to apply while also doing 15 DMG. The reason why I do not prefer this is it gets rid of the dash mechanic that can force enemies to glide in turn deny plants for a measly 15 DMG as well as a throwing range that is very small
- Awakening 3 has a bit more of an edge in my opinion as during in very chaotic fights it can help mitigate that but it also can mean you shield runs away from you and you ice won't be applied as effectively.
- None at all? Currently their is no way to deny awakenings but in the future I hope they do since Yvette's awakening 2 & 3 aren't for me.
Ideal Build Path?
- (R1) Headshot Damage
- (R2) Light Regen Armor - Yvette's doesn't naturally have any way in her kit to regenerate HP or Armor so this is the best choice.
- (R3) Magazine Capacity, Reload Speed, Spread Control (I like Yvette's gun and to have 40 rounds with a almost 100% accurate gun means I can almost bully enemies with many shots.)
- (R4) Stringified Movement Speed
- (R5) +1 Dash - As said before for every unused dash at the time of recall, destruction Fay's cooldown is reduced by 15% which makes a flat -10s cooldown seem obsolete when 1 more dash can be utilized better.
Secondary's
- Athena: Ideal if you can land precise and powerful shots. This packs a punch and rewards accuracy.
- Stinger: A balanced option with medium damage. However, it requires decent accuracy due to its medium-to-high difficulty of use.
- Flamethrower: Best for players who lack consistent accuracy. It compensates with a high rate of attack and area control.
- Sword: A niche choice. Can be effective paired with Yvette's stealth passive.
i am using Bear as a siren, shield and he is my friend. Do not forget to despawn bear if he doesnt need to be. Also you can know that if your enemies are rotating to another point.
Yvette is the perfect character to play if you have no friends to play with cause you always have bear <3
1.Bear Scouts
2.Bear Attacks
3.Bear Shields
-Bear need hugs
Why is Yvette one of the best characters in the game ?
- she is a close range controller who freezes enemies and controls the battlefield using her teddy bear, Fay.
- Key abilities :
- Teddy Assault Throws Fay to create an ice patch, making enemies slip & lose control.
- Frostbite Rounds Bullets slow down enemies, reducing their movement.
- Frost fall (Ultimate) Freezes a large area, stunning enemies and giving Yvette the advantage.
-Best Strategy : - Ambush & control Set ice traps in doorways and choke points.
- Slow enemies before attacking Use Frostbite Rounds for easy kills.
Use Ultimate to dominate Freeze multiple enemies at once in team fights.
Remember you can charge your teddy bear and then switch back to Yvette to start rotating earlier! You don't have to stay in bear form for the charge to go off :^)
bro wants that reward 😭
Treat Yvette as your waifu
Her passive, Yvette's beauty, should be used both offensive and defensive. When the bomb is planted, rush directly into defusing it.
After attacking Yvette, most opponents are overwhelmed with guilt having attacked such a natural beauty, and they will start to go afk while crying.
Her active skill, AYAYA AYAYA AYA AYAYA, boosts your nearby teammates morale for 10 seconds. It is a great spell to be used before attempting to re-take a zone.
Be cautious tho, your teammates might start yelling AYAYA AYAYA AYA AYAYA in the chat or voice chat after. Results may vary
Her ultimate, Nico Nico Nii, is a massive AOE crowd control spell that should be used in fights. Always initiate with this.
Enemies around Yvette will start doing the Nico Nico Nii dance for 5 seconds, giving you and your teammates enough time to wipe them down
what about her Q..
As far i can say as a player who plays Yvette alot in Demolition:
-
Fight in close range as your SMG will deal a good amount of damage to a near target.
-
Use your passive skill accordingly, make sure you are in a blind spot where you can see the enemies more clearly. Give info to your teammate when your are invisible. Don't fight when they are in a group or far from your distance, Knock the last person in the group, then run back to your teammate and place fay and let the bear do his job. You can fight if there is only one enemy who is going to flank your team. (Note you won't be scan by lawine's knife, kanami's skill and fushia's skill)
-
I never use fay for scounting, i only drop fay when i know where the enemies going to plant the bomb/fight in a large group. Use fay's dash to yourself first(this is in case someone going to flank/push you) then use the other where the enemy are fighting. If you have R5 Dash+1 Save it! You can cancel fay and get 15% cooldown back or use it to expand the ice field if the fight is detemined.
-
Use fay as a shield. You and your teammate can shoot through fay as the enemies couldn't. You can also use/control fay to protect your team as they are defusing. (Note Never control fay for too long as you are an easy target)
Part 1..

You can also use fay to cancel bomb plant, as fay can dash to someone as their are planting.
-
Ice is your friend. Always fight when enemies are on the ice as they will recieve 35% increase damage and slippery. Never Waste The Ice!
-
Use your ultimate skill if fay is in cooldown or use them both at the same time for more bigger debuff area. I don't use Yvette's ultimate skill alot but i use it for taking the site the same as fay. Fight when the enemies are in the area of your ult as their fire rate and reload speed will reduces Oh! and they will slip as well, making it difficult to hit you and your teammate.
-
As for Awakenings. I mostly went with A3. As it sometimes fay can save you in tight corridors or when in a chaotic battle as they will force to glide by a loving dashing fay, Shoot them while they are gliding! Becareful Fay will keep dashing until he hits a wall so if u want fay to stop and don't waste the ice fields. Press 'Q', press left click in the middle of dashing, press 'Q' again. This play is risky as fay will dash immediately as soon he sees a target and you will lose your shield, So make sure to swap with fay when he already uses 2 of his dash and use the last dash to yourself, by doing this fay will be near you and you can use fay as a shield again.
Those are the tips i can share in my experience playing as Yvette.
Hope it can help 🙂
Part 2..
Wait is this what you need to do to participate I'm a little confused
Ok
you aim at the head and shot and pray to win.
also u block with ur teddy bear, and also pray to win.
you can use the bear as a shield an shot threw it
you should be the one who's protecting Yvette, not a bear.
Look at her, her innonence, her beauty. Don't let her down
[A quick guide to controlling Fay Part1]
First you need to know how to summon Fay, which many people don't know how to do because it's new or they just summon it in front of them and forget about it. This is simple.
-#1 Use your Q key on your keyboard so that Yvette has her teddy bear called Fay at hand. Once you've done this, throw it wherever it's convenient or wherever you want to do it and it will appear big with a blue helmet. Once you've done this, direct Yvette to a safe area, you can do it on top of a platform or behind a structure so that the enemy doesn't detect you easily, since despite having camouflage, they might detect you. Now, in my personal opinion, don't summon Fay before starting a demolition game (only in this game mode) since it has a certain disappearance time. Wait for your teammates to tell you where the enemy is and then summon it with Q. Once summoned, press Q again to control Fay.
-#2 Fay without passives activated by points in demolition or escort mode can do the following: place him in front of Yvette so that Fay protects you (this can be done in all game modes except 6vs6); when you summon Fay and control him go to where the enemy is there are 2 ways for your little bear to attack one is to see the enemy charge him with the left action click crash into the wall to make a slippery ice zone, if an enemy crosses Fay's charge he will fly in 2D like when you throw a wind tornado grenade; the second way is difficult to achieve but I personally already did it for practice left click for action control Fay will do his famous charge as we already explained above before hitting hold the S key then quickly press space so that Fay sits on the ground and placing the Ice Zone this is very useful if Yvette is in danger.
[A quick guide yo controlling Fay part2]
-#3 let's talk about Fay's passives these are important because they help and contribute a lot to the team I know that at the beginning of the game and demolition and escort everyone spends the points at the top as damage or weapon upgrades but be patient you can generate more points as the battle progresses believe me it's worth it Fay's strong passives are the first one down to your left where it tells you that Fay after being destroyed or his time limit running out will leave a frozen area where the enemy will slip, next to this passive is the second and third here it is at the discretion of each one what you choose one or the other but personally choose the second passive is Fay every time you summon him he will use snowballs now you no longer sent Fay has a snowball in one of his legs when you go to control him this snowball has a small guide where to throw it as if it were a grenade once thrown the area where it was thrown will freeze now why despite thinking that you can't get much out of this passive you are wrong you can throw it both to the walls or to the enemies to lower their armor or to hurt them or even if this enemy is very injured by throwing the snowball directed at him to defeat him and count it as death. If we choose passive 3 and we leave Fay near the enemy, he will handle himself automatically without us controlling him, I mention it so that you take it into account.
[A quick guide yo controlling Fay Part3]
#4 Increase the passives that are given to you at the top right of your screen with the points. These are important so that Fay has less time to respawn or has one more attack. If we have the snowball passive here instead of having 2, now 3 snowballs will happen due to the increase in attacks. Be patient if you are in demolition since to achieve the good, expensive passives, it is located at the bottom of your screen. To activate them, there are a series of requirements to meet, each character changes, but above the passive you want there are some figures, several of which are on each character. I repeat, just buy what you need to enable your desired passive. And that's it. I think we are now ready to use Fay properly. I hope it is useful to you. 🙂
You can shoot through the bear
Bear creates ice field that REDUCES THEIR DEFENSE. It's very strong
Do not throw away the bear by sending it to the enemy to "scout". It's more powerful if you play around your bear
Put the fay in an unexpected position so when the enemies fight with teammates they will get atack from the back/ side
Get your ice down as fast as possible so you can fight with your team
I usually use Yvette duo to her camo ability. With it i usually get behind a box and or wall expecting the enemies to pass to attack from behind. This ability also helps to escape if I'm the only one left. As for the bear. Even tho everyone uses as a Meat shield, i use it to block entrances in the beginning of the rounds making they good or another way, or to destroy the bear showing my team where they are when they're defense is reduce. Lastly i use Fay to track people since one of its abilities it to run against the closes enemy, like that i can localizate them and hopefully get them down
Use the bear as a shield
Make use of her ability to send people into the air stringified.
You can stop bomb plants or make people take damage from Eika’s skill

what
Use the bear as a shield or run the bear into the enemy and most will be shooting the bear and have your teammates charge in as you follow behind
you can use the bear to gather intel for your team
use the bear and see how big yvette's boob
-Use the bear to scout early
-Apply ice to chokeholds that the enemy is most likely to use
-Use the bear as a shield when possible, friendly bullets travel through. Is a hitbox for enemy attacks
-recall bear if on the other side of the map from enemy. unused charges will reduce cooldown
-spend as little time as possible in bear mode during late game. if you activate the dash, you can leave bear mode and Fay will continue the charge until he hits something or goes max distance
-use ult to delay. if you are outnumbered, enemies can hesitate after hearing your ult, giving you time to retreat
-your ult is extremely good for team fights but you have to charge it up. it is good to enter last on a retake and throw the ult over your allies before entry
-close distances safely. her smg is good at short to medium range but falls of fast, especially if you cannot control her recoil
-best throwables are probably frag and interceptor
IDK, Bear defuse my bombs
Use bear as Shield, you can shoot through the bear!
Use the bear as a shield and shoot through it. Please I want the skin
yvette's bear fay can freeze the whole site to make enemies hard to enter the site
I use the bear to defend myself and to make the ground slippery.
i use the bear to gather information and to shield myself!
Throw bear before round start at a place that is close to the starting wall block. If theres no enemy when scouting using bear, try to ice the floor and immedietly recall it for cooldown.
Fist don't do like her and don't panic .
Second play with your m8.
Third let me play Yvette because i have her legendary skin so i want to play her.
Fourth yvette can't don anything against a dps so stop peaking everything .
Fifth this game is fun and balanced so have fun playing.

Yvette surprisingly became one of my favorites to play.
Edit: I've made a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mNpsAI-cZs
- Given how much you want to move and stringify in this game, it might be a little tough to think about standing still to gain camo, but it can be pretty useful for info and surprising the enemy.
- Fay is very useful. As a tanky 700 HP walking shield, I've seen/done things like
- Have Fay be a mini wall I can dance around to shoot at enemies while they have to shoot Fay or waste time going around
- Protect a downed ally and scare off an enemy so I can pick up my teammate
- Obstruct an enemy's movements while they're being distracted by an ally
- Protect yourself/others while defusing bomb
- The charge Fay does forces gliding, which can interrupt bomb plants and rescues
- A2 Snowballs do slight damage and I actually downed someone with it lol
- Since Fay is so useful when you have a plan in mind, I usually never go for A3 since I'd rather have control
- Ice field is a huge damage increase, enemies will take like 33-35% more damage
- Since Fay has a lot of HP, Ming and Eika are very bad matchups. Ming can get armor back, while Eika gets free Heat buildup. Do whatever it is you have to do with Fay and immediately recall to minimize any advantages Ming and Eika can get.
- You can switch back to Yvette immediately so if you know you wanna charge and go back to Yvette, just switch immediately after charging instead of waiting for impact. You might even use this as an approach, similar to how in fighting games, you can sometimes follow a fireball you just shot.
Made for my own satisfaction. English subtitles are available.

Several tips I have when playing Yvette in Demolition/Ranked
-
This is very important, Do NOT use Fay in the early round for scouting, except in Windy Town mid. You really need Fay's ice to be able to delete enemies as easily as possible. Using Fay as scouting is a gamble on Attackers taking your side or not, and when they're not, you have to recall Fay and leave him in cooldown while your enemy could already enter a bomb site. It's better to use Fay to take control of a site rather than using him for scouting.
-
Her passive, the stealth, can make you not scannable by any Vanguard's skill, so if you find some good hiding spots, you can jump on your enemy by surprise.
-
Fay is a bulky wall, his 700 HP can help you as a one-way, where you can shoot your enemy while your enemy's bullets will be taken by Fay. Fay also can help block you from your enemy when you need to defuse the bomb, or when reviving your teammates. Fay's dash is literally a walking windstorm grenade, dashing through the enemy will make them fly, and could prevent them from planting the bomb.
-
While you are controlling Fay, you can make him dash then switch back immediately. It makes you able to move and shoot your enemies while Fay is still dashing to their face and making them fly.
-
Both Yvette's Awaken 2 and 3 are good. Awaken 2 is useful when you need to apply ice quickly and take control of the site, while awaken 3 is still useful to prevent the enemy from planting the bomb with his dash.
-
Be careful when using Yvette's ultimate, the trajectory of the ult can still change even when the animation already plays. So watch out for any teammates moving in front of you, blocking the trajectory or you moving making the trajectory moves as well.
-
The debuffs given to the enemies standing on the field of ice and/or inside Yvette's ultimate is slower fire rate and lower defense, so make sure to make your enemies fight you on the ice to increase the chance of winning gunfights.
BTW the armor reduction is equivalent to a 35% damage increase from all sources
Yvette playstyle guide
Gun: Arguably one of the best guns in the game, fast reload, high mag capacity and almost non-existent spread, doesn't do much damage but it compensates by being pretty easy to handle and land headshots consistently.
Role: Really depends on your playstyle. She can be a DPS, Scout and Support.
**DPS: ** Since you do not have any damage-inducing abilities, your main source of damage is your weapon, which itself is a devastating gun if given to capable hands.
Demolition: spawn Fay in a favourable position to retreat to, then try to go invisible using her passive in known chokepoints, bonus points if you manage to get to a unorthodox spot in which people won't be expecting you from. Then wait for enemies to appear and DO NOT SHOOT until you have confirmed where everyone is, you can rush it and try to kill the first one as it appears but i do not recommend, just try to stir as much chaos as possible before retreating to Fay, then hold position until your team arrives, retreat if needed, freeze the area with Fay as you see fit or try and kill enemies that are still recovering from the chaos from earlier, basically you are there to confuse the enemy with shots from unexpected positions by turning invisible, this tactic could give different results depending on your aim.
Escort: try to do the same thing, get to unorthodox spots as fast as you can, where the enemy won't expect fire from, then when you see your target, shoot to kill, the less enemies there are, the better, you may be thrown grenades and such since they are unlimited on this mode, so beware or throw an interceptor beforehand. Then, use Fay as shield and try to kill the rest of the enemy team, remember, you are not alone, there are other teammates that will (or should) take the chance to attack as well, and if you succeed, and if Fay is still alive, freeze the area to slow any incoming enemies.
**Scout: **This playstyle is almost the same tactic as DPS but way more passive, hence why you'll be using your passive a lot more often, pick Tattletale and Interceptor.
*Demolition:*Rush to a common chokepoint where your team is not going, and place the tattletale somewhere on the way you think enemies may come, if enemies appear, stand absolutely still, as if you were a sniper IRL, you want to give your team as much info as possible as to where the enemy is headed or their exact positions, stay put until your team arrives and react accordingly, try to sneak behind enemy positions/flank if possible, and pick unsuspecting enemies from behind, when you are safe, use Fay to freeze the area and keep on the fight.
If your position gets compromised before your team arrives, you should have sight on the enemy that spotted you way before he does, so shoot at it before it can shoot you back, given your advantage of invisibility, the enemy shouldn't have time to react and should get downed in the process, given you do not miss your shots. Then retreat, using Fay as shield and Interceptor as you see fit, but do not try to engage any more enemies, fall back to another spot where you can turn invisible and ambush any pursuers, if there are more than one, stay put and don't fire, if they pass you without noticing you, return to the previous area and try to pick off some enemies quickly, as your allies should have arrived by now, then try to stick with your team or scout the area if needed.
Escort: Same tactic, rush spots with line of sight to common chokepoints and stay invisible, preferably spots behind the cart and enemy lines, since your team SHOULD be pushing the cart backwards, so giving them info on where the enemy is gonna counterattack is much needed, use Fay to freeze around the cart if there are no enemies around and do not try to engage hostiles unless your position gets compromised.
**Support: **The "Intended" role for Yvette, pick whatever combo of grenades you like, this is the "Jack of all trades" playstyle. You won't be using your passive much so beware.
Demolition: Stick with your team, use Fay as much as you can, deny area to enemies and force rushing enemies to fly, but do not stick with Fay too long or your allies will get overwhelmed, remember, your gun is way too good to not be used. If an ally is disarming the bomb, use Fay to shield them, if Fay covers them entirely, good, if not, use your own body to shield your ally as they disarm, bonus points if you throw a interceptor on the bomb.
Escort: Pretty much the same thing, stick with your team and freeze areas as much as you can, prioritize enemies with low health so your allies can focus on enemies with more health, if no enemies are near the cart, rush an advantageous position and turn invisible, the scout info, while not your priority in this playstyle, is much appreciated by your team.
Skills:
I recommend upgrading your gun as much as possible, so for blue skills:
Increase Magazine Capacity
Increase Reload Speed
Spread Reduction
Headshot DMG
For yellow, you only have three options, so:
+1 Thrust
Faster Invisibility
For green, i always recommend picking Light Regen Armor unless you have something like Ming or a tanky character, so:
Faster movement speed while stringified
Light Regen Armor
And finally, for Awakenings, i always pick Awakening 3, as having Fay automatically attack enemies while you can do other stuff is very important, at least for my playstyle, and when he is finished, you can put it to shield allies or yourself.
I strongly do not recommend using Fay as a scout, because you make yourself prone to getting rushed if you are alone. (There are cases where you get rushed even with allies around you anyways so...) I think it's better for the player to scout, but anyways, that's my take on Yvette!
put your bear in front of u and shot through it 👍 after bear go low just run away behind a wall and shoulder pick enemies on ice :D
since a lot of people make guides for demolition i will provide one for escort
Yvette Escort Guide
General Tips
- Use Fay as cover. Always shoulder fire so you can actually see who you're shooting at.
- Fay's dash (without A2) can knock enemies off of payload.
- Keep cart iced as long as possible to make teamfights easier and make it harder for enemies to contest.
- If holding cart uncontested, it will push backwards. Make sure to readjust Fay's position periodically to accomodate.
Turn off auto-sprint to see the best walk animation in the game.
-# When shoulder/hip-firing, aim at the right side of the enemy model for better results.
Loadout
- ⚔️ Secondary
- Emberspit: Best for killing enemies stuck to cart.
- Ninjato: Also good for killing enemies on cart, less range but look cooler.
-# All secondary weapons are viable. The two mentioned are just somewhat more viable in Escort than in Demolition, but play what you feel most comfortable with.
- 💣 Tactical Items
- Interceptor: Keep yourself and Fay safe. Put behind corner, under Fay, or even on payload's head.
- Frag Grenade: Good for general use, especially if they are clumped on the payload.
- Slow Grenade: Prevent enemies from papering onto cart.
- Windstorm Grenade: Force everyone (except Fragrans using ult) off the cart temporarily.
-# Flashbang and Healing Grenade aren't bad, but don't provide as much utility as the ones mentioned. Tattletale isn't super useful since there's only one objective point. Smoke bomb probably will help Attackers more since they have more scanners.
Upgrades
Greens
- Light Regen Armor: Highest priority, always get first.
- Stringified Movement SPD +15%: High priority, the sooner you get back to objective from spawn, the better.
- Stringified Movement SPD +25%: Medium priority, not as big of a speed buff and costs more, but still good.
- Superior Light Regen Armor: Medium priority, more armor is always good.
-# Heavy Armor is not bad if you have a Celestia or some reliable way to regenerate armor. Stringified DMG Reduction isn't worth how much slower you'll be without the speed upgrades.
Awakenings
- Ice Burst: High priority, basically an extra Dash for cheaper.
- Snowball Fight: High priority, lets you generate ice more quickly.
-# Awakening 3 Teddy Assault has variable reliability and can cause Fay to run too far from objective to be useful.
- 🟦 Blues
- Effective Range/Magazine Capacity: Medium priority, choice is down to preference.
- Spread Control: Medium priority, good choice for how often you will be using shoulder-fire.
- Headshot Damage/Stringified Damage: Medium priority, choice is down to preference.
- Reload Speed: Low priority, you can usually safely reload behind Fay or payload so not always needed to be quick.
-# Most blue choices can go either way, except Sprint Speed which is basically useless. You should always be gliding for movement.
- 🟡 Yellows
- +1 Dash: High priority, gives you more ice, and also indirectly lowers cooldown since it reduces based on unused dashes.
- Stealth Entry Speed +50%: Lowest priority, get this last.
-# Cooldown reduction is not a bad choice while you don't have enough to buy the more expensive upgrades.
- 🔀 Order
- Armor ⇒ Speed ⇒ A1 ⇒ A2 ⇒ +1 Dash
- Upgrade greens and buy blues while waiting, then sell them once you have enough for the next high priority item.
-# Sometimes you quick respawn and don't have much time to look at the shop. Be ready to make quick purchases if needed.
Fay Placements
- Fay can always be placed next to the payload to provide additional cover. Ideally place on the right side of it so you have right-hand peeks.
- Scouting is not as needed in Escort. Keep Fay close to be most useful.
- In addition, there are several strong chokepoints where Fay's large body excels. These are indicated in the images below.

Yvette Simple Guide = )
Yvette carries mahoraga, with her at all times. Despite her introverted nature, she can lock down the battlefield by summoning mahoraga to suppress the enemy.
Mahoraga Assault is a treasure skill:Summons Mahoraga, which creates slippery icy surfaces when it hits the ground or enemies.
The Passive Skill is basically makes Yvette invisible if standing still for a short time.
Use: Sneak past enemies or scout the battlefield. But, once you start moving, you’ll become visible again, so be strategic.
The Ultimate skill Summons mahoraga to create Polar Zones that slow enemies, reduce fire rate, and hinder weapon usability.
Use, Deploy it during team fights to disorient the enemy and make them vulnerable to your teammates’ attacks.
Focus on these upgrades to maximize Yvette’s potential:
Mahoraga Assault Cooldown Reduction: More frequent disruptions.
Sprint Speed: Helps with positioning and escaping.
Spread Control and ADS Speed: Boosts weapon precision.
Stealth Entry Speed: Helps Camouflage activation.
Her Weapon is A lightweight SMG with high fire rate and accuracy, making it great for medium-range skirmishes.
Positioning
1-Mid-Range Control Not too close, not too far
2-High Ground Advantage
3-Flanking and Ambushes
4-Stay Near Team Support
5-Avoide Open Spaces
Tips & Tricks
1-Control chokepoints with Teddy Assault to trap enemies.
2-Stay still to activate Camouflage, then reposition for surprise attacks.
3-Use Frostfall to slow and weaken the enemy team, then push with your team.
4-Work with your team, Yvette's strengths lie in enabling teammates, not solo damage.
Small Advice
Yvette is for players who like strategy and utility. If you focus on controlling the battlefield and supporting your team through clever positioning and traps, you’ll excel with her. "i am just joking she doesn't summon mahoraga the name is teddy the bear". best of luck to you all.
- Puedes usar el oso de escudo, disparar a traves de el y que las balas enemigas se las coma el oso muy util en situaciones 1vs1 o en espacios reducidos

Y ya, no mas aprendi eso, soy molecula no me pidan mucho
Strinova Yvette Advance Guide
• Remember when you are invisible in your passive , you are not scannable by the enemies , you can use this to camp or get information about the enemy team without revealing yourself (but keep in mind lawine’s q a2 chain will still reveal you , so check if enemy’s lawine have a2 or not before you try to camp ).
• Most people knows that you can use fay as a shield, but fay is blocking most of your sight. You can place fay at 45-degree angle so it’s easier for you to aim and shoot .
• When you place fay, the direction of fay facing will be the same as the direction Yvette is facing when she throws fay out. When you throw the bear, try to imagine the pov of the bear, then you can instant know what you should do next, this can reduce the time you spend on the bear .
• You can make fay dash and switch back immediately, then you can follow up as Yvette to shoot enemy. This is a very important thing to learn if you want to master Yvette, it reduces a lot of time you spend on the bear.
Why you need to reduce the time you spend on fay?
Reducing the time, you spend on bear is very important is very important as:
o Yvette’s gun is not very strong, when retaking, it’s very hard to fight without the ice that fay provides, you would need to provide ice as fast as possible to make your team have a better chance at winning fights
o Since the pace for attacker is fast, when retaking, most of the time the attacker is already at the site and is almost going to plant. For defenders , the best time to push attackers away is mostly when the attackers just entered site and didn’t have full control of it yet , if Yvette use the “ attackers just entered site and didn’t have full control of it yet” time to control fay , then your team will be in a 4v5 situation , with the guide above , you will be able to put fay in a good place then dash and switch back , then it will be a 5v5 but your team will gain the advantage because of your ice.
Something about her skill that you need to know
- When you throw fay out, fay will little jump 2 times , during this time, you can move fay but fay cant dash , if you have a2 the duration will be longer before you can throw snowball. During this time, you can reposition yourself or throw nades , then instant go back to bear and do the dash and switch back thing to provide ice and damage for your team
- Your bear is not only a shield or ice provider, when you dash towards enemy they are forced to glide up, so when your team is counterattacking , you can disturb enemies by dashing towards enemy making them glide and unable to shoot . You can also uses this in a 1v1 to kill enemies when they are gliding.
- When dashing with fay, before fay dashes forward ( fay ready to dash animation ) , we can actually adjust the way fay dash forward by rotate our camera to the way we want fay to dash forward ( Basically you can click dash then immediately rotate the camera to the way you want fay to dash to change the direction ) . With this, you can do something like q > left click > change direction > q to switch out , and the faster you left click the faster this process is .
- When using her ult , BEFORE YOU SEE THE BEAR APPEARING , you can adjust the bear location by rotating your camera , so remember that and don’t miss your ult on critical areas !

What you should improve when playing Yvette:
Improve the process of providing ice with fay(Ideally , you will throw your bear out > dash > walk a bit and adjust your angle > dash again , then the whole job that fay needs to do is done , practice to make this process smoother and faster, so after providing ice you can instantly join gun fights to help your team )
Others
When playing Yvette , you need to know what place you should be standing while holding sites , an ideal place will be able to spot enemies with third person at a corner at the very start of the round as Yvette so you can have time preparing ice
DON’T USE FAY TO SCOUT, as you can spot enemies with yourself and safely get back , there’s no need to give the bear away to the enemies , even if you provided ice on their way to their site , what you going to do ? rush them when your team is retaking ? if you don’t rush , you don’t get value from your ice either . It will cause you unable to provide ice when they are already in the site
If you are not gambling site , most of the time Yvette should be watching mid , so you can go help your team by providing ice very quickly
Make sure you have enough time to use fay and use your nades and stuff so your whole team wont die after you provided ice
Most of the time provide ice to choke point and important areas that your team need control of / enemies that need
Yvette’s Gun Tips
• Most of the guns have a pretty bad accuracy when you do the jump shoulder firing, but Yvette’s gun is one of the guns that still have good accuracy when doing the same thing , because of this Yvette’s gun is not very good for flanking ( no one did it anyway ) , but rather using its mobility to keep “ poke “ your enemy left and right . If enemy is on ice you can just beam , if enemy is not on ice you can also “ tease “ around with your enemies.
• When jump shoulder firing with Yvette’s gun, because of shoulder fire limits your movement speed by a lot , most of the time it can cause you to being unable to jump back . You can practice to jump > shoulder firing > un-shoulder fire > jump back >shoulder firing .
• Since Yvette’s gun have a pretty high fire rate , its very hard for her to kill stringified characters . I personally only shoot when I got close enough with those stringified characters , then run around them while shooting ( don’t jump though , its easy to miss )
Upgrades / Awakenings
Personally I mostly will get A2 as fast as possible , as A2 lets you provide ice a lot faster , A3 is also pretty decent as it automatically provide ice without you controlling , but unlike A3 , I can use fay as shield when defusing or reviving teammates . All I can say is to buy base on your preference .
My buy path is : bullet capacity > light armour > -CD on fay > speed when stringified > Passive invisibility active time > spread control > headshot dmg > reload speed
• Why I choose -CD on fay : because some people likes to bait Yvette’s bear then rotate to another site as the ice is very threatening , with this even if they successfully baited bear , Yvette’s bear will still be up very soon because of the -15% cd for each unused charge and -CD
• +15% speed when stringified: Yvette needs to get to site as fast as possible to provide ice for her team

these guys are sweats
Yvette, a character in the game Strinova, has three abilities: Teddy Assault, Camouflage, and Frostfall. These abilities allow her to control and disable areas on the battlefield.
Teddy Assault
Yvette summons her teddy bear, Fay, who creates an icy surface that makes enemies slip and more vulnerable
This active skill lasts for 22 seconds
Camouflage
Yvette becomes invisible to distant enemies after standing still
This passive skill lasts for 10 seconds
Frostfall
Yvette summons a Frost Bear that creates three Polar Zones, which slow enemies' rate of fire, make them slip, and reduce their weapon usability
This ultimate skill lasts for 15 seconds
Yvette is a P.U.S. researcher and Controller who uses the SMG weapon "Beareas". She is introverted but cares deeply for her friends.
When bored, you can be silly and play Yvette in a silly way
Just jump around in the enemies group as Fay, dodging some bullets and body blocking them
It helps stalling for your team to either regroup or rotate
Also use Fay as a meat shield to annoy enemies even more, which also allows you to safely defuse the bomb
Use Fay as a Shield – You and your team can shoot through it, but enemies can't!
Scout with Fay – Send the bear ahead to check enemy positions.
Control Chokepoints – Throw Fay onto key areas to freeze the floor, slowing enemies and making them easier to hit.
Maximize Ice Damage – Enemies take 33% more damage when weakened by ice.
Stay Hidden – Yvette's invisibility doesn't work while using Fay, so position yourself carefully.
Use a bear as a temporary shelter
Yvette advanced guide from a top 5 ranked Yvette in NA:
Upgrades: For gun go magazine capacity, spread control, headshot dmg, and reload speed. Greens: light regen, and movement speed. Yellow go +1 dash.
**Economy: ** Snowball is the better awakening, but you don't want to rush to it. First focus on upgrading your gun. Yvette has the weakest gun in the game, so you need the gun upgrades to put up a fight. The ability upgrades are not as important as once you get one green and one blue upgrade you unlock A1 which gives you access to 3 ice placements.
A good general upgrade order is 1. any blue other than reload speed, 2. light regen armor sell your blue if you can't afford it, 3. the two other blues, 4. +1 dash.
Common mistakes: So before I start with the guide I would like to point out some common mistakes I see Yvette players make.
- Using the bear as the shield This should only be done when you've used up all the ice, or you're defusing the bomb. I see way too many Yvette players react to an attack by placing the bear down and trying to get a cheeky kill. You are a controller first and foremost, if you don't use your debuffs, then all you are is a normal person with the worst gun in the game.
- Peaking with the bear at the start of the round This just results in your bear being wasted. If you meet the attacker, they will just instantly kill your bear. If you don't meet your attacker, then you've just completely wasted your ability.
- Spending too little time in bear This is more of a common misconception than a mistake. People generally say you should minimize the time you spend in bear, and that you are more useful firing your gun, and this is true to an extent. But a well played bear can win any team fight. Doing things such as charging the bear in to the enemy, icing the enemy, and body blocking the enemy and their vision can make even 3v5s possible. So don't be in a rush and make sloppy ice placements. Always go for quality over speed.
Positioning:
The most advantageous position for Yvette is right peaking on a corner. At close enough range, her gun can easily kill any character. Avoid long - medium ranges, your gun is simply not strong enough to fight at those ranges. If you're forced to fight medium - long range try to get closer if it is safe to do so.
Any kind of rat position is very good Yvette, such as standing above the mid entrance on Windy Town. Yvette's passive makes her immune to any scan so you can get a lot of easy kills hiding in those spots.
Finally always make sure you play with your team. Fight enemies with the numbers advantage.
Ability:
There are two ways to use the bear, offensively, and defensively.

Offensive use is for retaking sites. Make sure you are moving the bear with your team. You want to place ice directly on the enemy, and just try and disrupt them as much as possible. Charging directly into an enemy puts them into forced gliding, which can open them up to free damage from your team, and the ice makes them take 35% more damage.

Defensive use is when enemy pushes a site you are holding. Depending on the circumstance you either ice a choke point and try to hold it(ideally if someone if playing with you), or you fall back and ice critical site locations. Locations such as A heaven on Cauchy street, and gardens in Windy town. The idea is to make it hard for the enemy to take vital positions so your other teammates can take good positions when they rotate over.
Outside of these two scenarios try to focus on icing choke points.
Finally another use for the bear is delaying bomb plants, this is especially useful if the enemy is running Meredith or Reiichi as you can stall them until their abilities run out.
For her ult, only use it when you are sure that the enemy can't rotate. It takes a long time to fully activate and the range for placing is not good either, but the ult debuffs are some of the best in the game. Some good moments for ulting is when the enemy has planted the bomb and are sitting in defensive position.
Communication:
You want to let your team know when you ice someone so that they can go in for an easy kill.
When retaking sites, you send the bear in first to drone out the enemy positions, make sure you communicate this as well.
Maps: You can play her on any map other than Area 88. Other characters are a lot better on Area 88.
Extra tips: Her shoulder and hip fire are very accurate so you can be very mobile while shooting. Jumping and firing is a great advantage as you have good mobility combined with decent accuracy. A good technique to master is jumping in one direction and double jumping in the other direction. This is very effective on Yvette because of how accurate her gun is.
An overlooked aspect of the bear that has a ton of value is that fact that it is a physical object. After I use up my ice charges, I like to place the bear in a doorway behind the enemy, of directly into the enemy. There, the bear can hinder enemy movements, and block their retreat path, giving your allies an even greater advantage. I’ve even used the bear to isolate a retreating enemy from their team by continuously blocking their path, allowing for an easy free pick.
Overall the best nades for her are interceptor, slow, wind, and frag.

Use The Bear To Bully People And Then Go Shooty Shoot After Making Them Fly
use fay for oneways and body blocks ig
Oh also its way harder to res a teamate when the floor is slippery
You can use fey to deny a plant by charging at the planter. This launches them upwards and forcing them to stringify.
Dont let ur bear standing there alone!! Retrieve the bear if the enemys goes to another site or they alredy plant so you can use a healthy bear to fight them. The cooldown isnt so much of a big deal if you manage to think quick
Can slide on the floor when defending
use her bear not only to deny choke points but jiggle peaking it and using it to body block almost guarantees a win in a 1v1 and sometimes even a 1v2
can use her bear to ice the bomb site to make it harder for attackers to plant
Always use yvette awakening 3 fay will charge the enemy on his own
Yvette gun excels in medium-short ranges, and Fay fay is an amazing companion. You can always try experimenting with awakens for fay, but I personally prefer A3 in "most" scenarios. Make sure to strategically place Fay to your advantage so that the enemies shoot Fay or you can escape safely when the enemies decide to push. Additionally, charging Fayfay at enemies will cause them to fly up which allows for some crazy plays and make the area an icy mess. Yvettes ult is also amazing as it can slow enemies within the area and noticeably decrease their weapon usability--allowing you and your team-- to win the round.
Use the bear to ice if teammates are near, otherwise use it as shield.
Yvette is a notable agent in the game Strinova, recognized for her effective area control abilities. Her unique skill involves deploying a large bear to exert pressure on opponents, making her particularly formidable in close-quarters combat. This tactic forces adversaries into disadvantageous positions, creating strategic advantages for her team.
However, Yvette's effectiveness diminishes in long-range engagements. Players aiming to maximize her potential should focus on close-range confrontations and leverage her area denial capabilities to control the battlefield. Coordinating with teammates to capitalize on the spaces she controls can lead to a dominant performance in matches.

Area 88:
No, map is too big for her. Other controller are better choice.
Space lab:
Both side, more on A side to block the main path
Cauchy Street:
All three good, but B side is the best choice to defend and rotate fast
Windy town:
Must have! Especially on mid and garden
Port euler:
Both side, but B side is the safer option
Cosmite:
Both side and mid, more on A side, because there is only one path to entry for the enemy
Conclusion:
- Good close range Weapon + ice to unlock the full potential
- Passive: play like a snake
- Q:
ice: freeze key locations
dash: distract and deny plant
Fey: as shield - Ult when the enemies can't rotate, as soon as you see the enemy or in team fights
Shop:
Round 1: Critical hit,
Round 2: Light regen shield
Rest: Yellow first, awakening second, last everything else
A2: more Defensive
A3: more aggressive - Be aware of the whole Situation: Mini map, enemies, teammates, yourself
- Multitasking is very important
- No flank, only flank If you are not alone
- Stay with teammates, they can save your live
- No pushing at the beginning we are defenders who hold the line and not push like an attacker (this go for every single agent)
my playthrough:
stay on mid, watch the minimap>rotate>use granades>place Fey>freeze key places, side>return Fey to me or teammates if i have the chance>use your bear as shield>(If the enemies rotate)dismiss>ult when you are on Side>win
The bear must be thrown when the enemies are already entering the playground. Up to this point, it should only be used as a last resort (to escape from the enemy, to help allies raise the wounded). I advise you to take the second awakening, as it will allow the bear to attack automatically and at the same time the rushing bear will disorient the enemies. I wrote it with a translator, I hope everything is clear).
use her passive and play like a rat hiding in places xd
Okay so here are some nice facts based on my experience:
- Yvette has an amazing weapon. It is better suited for close-mid range and is better to aim from shoulder, very easy to hit enemies and defeat them very fast
- The bear can be used both for straight rushing to enemies to see where they are going as well as freezing, making them slide. Bear can also serve as an amazing shield, Yvette can shoot through it while enemies can't.
- Yvette can turn into a real assassin with her invisibility! You can try hiding somewhere in a small distance from plant site, let relaxed enemies pass you and then pew pew pew!
Overall she is an amazing character and I'm having a great time playing her~
Here is my personal experience with Yvette
Yvette is a character focused on control, utilizing her bear to disrupt enemy strategies. Her strength lies in strategic positioning and effective area management.
Her abilities allow her to dominate the battlefield. Yvette excels at slowing down opponents, making them vulnerable, and obstructing their movements. The essence of her playstyle revolves around positioning; she needs to find safe spots to deploy Fay effectively. She also shines in zoning and crowd control. By leveraging her ice abilities, she can hinder enemy attacks and trap foes, putting them at a disadvantage. Many players are caught off guard by her unexpected tactics, as her camouflage skill enables her to reposition stealthily, creating confusion among enemies.
Let’s dive into her key abilities—Q and Ultimate. In my experience, the Q ability allows Yvette to deploy Fay in a designated area under her control. When you activate sprint, Fay charges in a specific direction, and a second click creates an ice zone that slows enemies down and creates a slippery surface. This is especially effective in tight spaces, such as narrow corridors or key objectives, where she can control enemy movement and reveal them to her team. It serves both offensive and defensive purposes, cutting off escape routes or forcing enemies into unfavorable engagements while they’re distracted by her allies.
Her Ultimate is tailored for area control, and I frequently use it when enemies are attempting to plant a bomb. By deploying the bear, I can confuse them and strike as they try to plant. If the bomb is already set, I can use it to distract enemies by placing the bear in front of the bomb, allowing for a safer defusal without exposing myself to enemy fire.
The same tactics apply to her Q! Place it strategically if you want to defuse the bomb safely, or use smoke for added protection.
Additionally, her Q can act as a shield for both herself and her teammates. Enemies struggle to see the bear, making it difficult for them to aim accurately at Yvette, which provides a significant advantage in combat.
Overall, her weapon feels reminiscent of a phantom, with manageable recoil. Aim for headshots or neck shots to maximize damage output.
Yvette Guides
Introduction into Yvette's playstyle
Yvette uses an SMG, making her ideal for close-medium range combats.
She can even outclass shotgun in terms of DPS (Damage per Second)
It will be good to consider Emberspit and Ignis as her secondary as those weapons are ideal for close range fights, and more effective for her.
Tactical can be Frag and Healing Grenade, or Heal and Interceptor (To avoid getting nade push), or Heal and Windstorm (Send them flying for free shots)
Skills
Passive Skill: Camouflage - By idling, Yvette becomes invisible, however this is only effective for enemies far from her (reference range is the minimap yellow circle), any enemies inside the circle can see Yvette. Think this is useless? The purpose of this is when Yvette is Controlling Fay.
(Q) Teddy Assault - Yvette will deploy Fay, she can control Fay to obstruct enemy pushes or delay them. By dashing, the enemies gets thrown mid air and upon hitting a wall, Fay will create an Icy Surface which will make it difficult for enemies to accurately strafe as they will slip in the Ice Surface. This allows teammates on the other site to have enough time to travel to the site where the enemies are pushing. Best use case is during the very start of the round. Also, Yvette and her Teammates can Use Fay as a shield while allowing them to freely shoot through Fay and damage enemies. Other info will be discussed on the Awaken skill info.
(X) Frostfall - Yvette will deploy a Frost Bear. The Frost Bear will create 3 Polar Zones in Succession. This makes the enemies slip or slide, losing their maneuverability. Also, it slows their rate of fire, and reduces weapon deployment or switching speed.
Upgrades
My recommendation is first get + Magazine Capacity. My reasoning for this is that it gives her more shots (From 32 to 40) per mag. This allows her to get 1-2 kills without reloading (including headshot damage counts without the dmg bonus from upgrade)
Win Round
Get Either Light Regen Armor or Heavy Armor, either works for her.
Lose Round
Sell + Magazine Capacity and Get Either Light Regen Armor or Heavy Armor.
For her upgrade sequence, my choice is:
- Magazine Capacity (Blue) > Armor (Green) > Cooldown - 10s (Yellow) > Stringified DMG Reduc (Green) > + Headshot Dmg (Blue) > Stealth Entry (Yellow) > + Sprint Speed (Blue) > + Spread Control (Blue)
This allows Yvette to have access to Awaken 1 on either 2nd or 3rd round(1 round lose), and both Awaken 2 and 3 at the same time, so you can freely switch between what you want to use.
Also, Yvette doesn't really rely on Spread Control or ADS Speed as her recoil pattern is easy to control (It's pull down, a little right, hard left, hard right, hard left) or just counter-strafe, as for ADS speed, her default is already fast enough and can be compensated by pre-aim, shoot then ADS.
Awaken Skills
First is Awaken 1 - Ice Burst. You want Fay to be as close to the enemy as possible. Enemies tend to shoot and destroy Fay to lessen the obstruction time. However with Awaken 1, this will make their decisions a poor choice as Fay will explode and create Icy surface making them slip and lose maneuverability.
Next is Awaken 2 - Snowball Fight. Useful on Area88 and the like where enemies tend to push via mid. Fay's snowball can easily reach the mid area and cover a significant amount of surface, thus delaying and disrupting the enemies movement.
Lastly, Awaken 3 - I prefer this one as I don't have to control Fay anymore (Fay will automatically engage enemies in sight). This will give me the capability to shoot while the enemies are engaged into shooting at Fay. (Either get a knock or shave off their armor)
Now, the questions is: How do we play Yvette?
-
Confidence! Believe in yourself as if you're the best player in the lobby (lol). Yes, you can never be the best player in game, but you can in the lobby. Though keep in mind that Yvette is not a duelist, rather a controller. Your priority is to delay and expose your enemies in open area so your team can get advantageous angles and shoot them. Hold Shift while hip-firing gives you tight spread without having to use ADS. This will give you a wider visual on your surroundings compared to ADSing.
-
Don't doubt yourself. Nevermind your teammates that speak negative about your playstyle. There's always room to improve, and every game contributes to your improvement and knowledge in game. So, take your time and learn the ropes.
-
Communicate. This is VERY IMPORTANT! If you play Ranked Games, you need to communicate with your team to let them know what you're about to do. This will give them idea on how to approach the fight. If they won't communicate, it's not your fault, just do your part and tell them what you are going to do. They can hear you (just make sure your mic is audible enough xD)
Here's a Video of me playing Yvette, though it's Challenge Mode. I feel like I somehow dominated this match. 🤣

oh my god...
- You can shoot through Fay (the bear) while enemies cannot
- Yvette can become invisible to enemies around a certain radius (shown by the circle around her)
- Yvette will be semi-transparent to enemies when they're within the radius
- Her ice not only weakens players (makes them take more damage), but can make bomb plants and revives difficult as well
- Fay (bear) can help protect someone defusing the bomb
- You can make the bear start running in a direction and stop controlling it, the bear will continue to move
🛡️ General Tips
Utilize Fay as Cover: Deploy Fay, Yvette's teddy bear, as a shield. Position yourself behind Fay to block enemy fire while allowing you and your teammates to shoot through it. Always shoulder fire to maintain clear visibility of your targets.
Disrupt Enemy Advances: Fay's dash can knock enemies off the payload, preventing them from contesting.
Maintain Ice Control: Keep the payload iced to slow enemies and increase the damage they take, making team fights more manageable.
Adjust Fay's Position: The payload moves backward when uncontested. Regularly reposition Fay to ensure continuous cover and control.
Optimize Movement: Consider turning off auto-sprint to appreciate Yvette's unique walk animation.
Aim Precision: When shoulder or hip-firing, aim slightly to the right of the enemy model for improved accuracy.
🗡️ Loadout Recommendations
Secondary Weapons:
Emberspit: Ideal for eliminating enemies clinging to the payload.
Ninjato: Offers close-range efficiency with a stylish flair.
All secondary weapons are viable; choose based on your comfort and playstyle.
Tactical Items:
Interceptor: Protects you and Fay from grenade spam. Place it behind cover, under Fay, or even atop the payload.
Frag Grenade: Effective for dispersing clustered enemies on the payload.
Slow Grenade: Hinders enemies from reaching the payload quickly.
Windstorm Grenade: Temporarily forces enemies off the payload, providing a strategic advantage.
While Flashbang and Healing Grenade offer utility, the above options provide more direct benefits in Escort mode.
🔧 Upgrade Priorities
Green Upgrades:
Light Regen Armor: Top priority for sustained survivability.
Stringified Movement SPD +15%: Enhances mobility, allowing quicker returns to the objective.
Stringified Movement SPD +25%: Additional speed boost; valuable but secondary to the 15% upgrade.
Superior Light Regen Armor: Extra armor is beneficial but consider it after mobility upgrades.
Heavy Armor is situational; it's more effective if paired with reliable armor regeneration sources.
Red Awakenings:
Ice Burst: Provides an additional dash at a reduced cost, enhancing mobility and control.
Snowball Fight: Accelerates ice generation, allowing for more frequent area denial.
Awakening 3 (Teddy Assault) can be unpredictable and may cause Fay to stray from the objective.
Blue Upgrades:
Effective Range/Magazine Capacity: Choose based on personal preference and combat style.
Spread Control: Improves accuracy during shoulder fire engagements.
Headshot Damage/Stringified Damage: Select according to your aiming proficiency.
Reload Speed: Lower priority since you can often reload safely behind Fay or the payload.
Avoid Sprint Speed upgrades; gliding is the preferred movement method.
Yellow Upgrades:
+1 Dash: Increases mobility and indirectly reduces cooldowns by providing extra dashes.
Stealth Entry Speed +50%: Least priority; acquire this after other essential upgrades.
Cooldown reduction upgrades are useful placeholders until you can afford higher-priority items.
Upgrade Sequence:
Armor: Prioritize survivability.
Speed: Enhance mobility to maintain objective control.
Awakening 1 (Ice Burst): Gain an extra dash for increased versatility.
Awakening 2 (Snowball Fight): Boost ice generation capabilities.
+1 Dash: Further enhance mobility and control.
Purchase green and blue upgrades as needed, and consider selling them later to invest in higher-priority items.
🧸 Fay Placement Strategies
Payload Proximity: Position Fay adjacent to the payload to serve as mobile cover. Placing Fay on the right side offers advantageous right-hand peeks.
Chokepoint Control: Deploy Fay in narrow passages to obstruct enemy movement and provide your team with a tactical advantage.
Scouting: While less critical in Escort mode, Fay can still offer valuable reconnaissance. However, keeping Fay close to the payload often yields better results.
Personal Ranked Yvette Playstyle:
I play Yvette like a fortress, there're spots on each map where the attackers always hit when hitting that site, and I play Yvette by locking that spot down.
Holding:
- Peek an long distance angle so you can see when enemies are coming to your site. This way your team can rotate faster and you have time to setup.
- Don't shoot because you might die by a sniper/galatea teleport. Even if you do some damage or get a down, they'll just getup and revive or heal, so there's no point.
- Throw your bear out while flying so you reduce the time you need to setup.
- Try to hold a choke, because you can be a menace and win 1v3 with your ice.
- Have your bear ice the path to you, and then stand behind it around a corner. This way you have a 700hp bunker, a damage amplification and they can't aim due to the slippery ice
- DONT ADS, you're fighting at point blank range, so scoping will be more of a hinderance than help. I recommend stringify behind bear/jumping and clicking shift to aim or just shooting.
Retakes:
- Find the location the enemy is pushing the most on minimap, then throw bear and let it charge in a straight path to ice and knock them flying.
(There's not much else you can do ability wise, as it's better for you to help your team fight than manning the bear)
A2: Ability 2 (throw snowballs) The damage is negligible. Personally I take this, as this lets me stand behind the bear faster and he can ice not just for me, but also my teammate's choke point.
A3: Ability 3 (automated charge) This ability is useful for retakes. When taking this ability I do not recommend holding a choke, as without the shield, you can easily get shot dead not just by the attackers, but also the snipers. Instead with this ability, you fall off site and retake.
3rd charge or Cooldown: Personally, I recommend 3rd charge, as rarely you will get the chance to get the bear up again. Since this game is all about numbers advantage, if you won the first fight, you will have the numbers advantage and win.
Abilities order: Headshot Damage -> Light Armour -> Magazine Size -> Spread Control -> Stringify Speed -> Reload Speed/+1 Dash -> Camouflage
Gernade Choices:
Windstorm - you can cut off the enemy and murder the choke point
Healing - Yvette's gun is fast, accurate and has a lot of bullets, so it's basically an SMG. As such you're job is the front line, so some healing never hurts.
Frag gernade - With a frag + ice combo, you can 1 shot KO if they're close enough.
Interceptor - Useful to prevent your bunker from getting naded.
Smoke/Slow - These are mostly just used for escape purpose, rarely you'll take these, except niche circumstances like Slow gernade to prevent stringify wall climb.
Combos:
Flavia - When Flavia ult is up, play forward with her, when the enemy is rushing your sites, throw the bear in to ice and flavia follow. You shoot in the back, and you can win 2v5 fights easily.
Maddelena/Michele/Audrey/Yugiri - Setting up ice with turret/slow/snail can cause a death zone.
Kokona - Basically, you use koko as bait and ice her location, put the bear behind a wall and stringify very high on the wall besides her. This way when they rush koko, she can be safe behind the bear, while you get 1-2 kills by swooping down.
Final Tip: Every second you're on the bear is a second where your team is fighting a 4v5. This is why you try to minimize the time you're on the bear to give your team the most advantage possible, while using Yvette's ability to her most potential. Also please remember Yvette is a controller, so she's more impactful with the team than flank.
Try saving your bear for defuse and when the enemy pushes, you can use it as a shield and also to your advantage using the fragile as well, I would recommend using A3 so you can fight while it does the work for you as A2 is a debuff and removes the charge that can stop defuses
I have a lot of funny moments but this video is Yvette being sneaky without Fay 🧸 https://youtu.be/CYJej_6HdpA?si=PLW4O6FPBqXQR6-H

Hello fellow Superstring agents!
Since Yvette is my favorite character and I played her for a very long time, I decided to make a video guide for Yvette! She’s exceptionally strong and her active ability is probably the most impactful superstring ability in the game! Oh, and Fay, I love Fay!!!
Yvette is a short-ranged control-based character who excels at disrupting enemies with her frost fields, the low recoil SMG and at times, the witty and clever use of her passive. In the hands of a good player, can deny a bomb plant, scout ahead or completely lock down a bombsite using her ultimate.
Want to learn how to play her? Look no further...
-Your bear acts as a recon on blind spots when you're on a tough competition / clutch moments.
-Yvette uses smg, utilize spray and move closer as always (never use her mid-long range as close-mid range is where her weapon shows her capabilities.). Avoid ADS at all times.
-Learn her spray patterns while on the move and on stationary.
-Utilize the bear more often especially when covering yourself/ally when defusing.
No Need Bear... Barrel Stuff em'. Map Awareness! Movement on Fleek. No man Left Behind! like help? i sho u! 💯 💊 🤪

📝👉 -Yvette Guides / Tips- Like Maddalena's ultimate, Yvette's ultimate has a large radius and applies multiple debuffs to enemies.
With enemies unable to stand correctly, you'll be able to land more shots since their accuracy will be affected, and there will be a slow fire rate in the zone.
Her ultimate's radius is big enough to cover the bomb site, allowing your team to retake the site quickly for a defuse.
Role: Defense, Area Control, Anchor
Yvette is an Anchor Agent. She has invisibility abilities and is okay with area denial. Her ultimate ability summons a Frost Bear that creates 3 zones where enemies can slip and slow down their rate of fire. However, her abilities overall are lacking in comparison to the other agents on this list.
Here’s a funny moment when I rode on top of the others teams Fay https://youtu.be/Q-cpyre2H6A?si=Zh3bHwUZ5ZD0s-Qr
