LITERALLY, IF YOU ARE MING YOU ARE ENTRY. IF YOUR TEAM IS INFRONT OF YOU YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG!!!!

agreed i see so many bad mings who think duelist is going for kills and not entry

#

games as a whole should rename duelist to space takers because there are too many people not taking space with them

fringe rose
#

it depends, cuz for example Baimo and Fusihia aren't entry.

vague citrus
#

baimo is definitally entry he has a dash and a ult that gives him a extra life

#

i agree with fuchia her kit is designed for taking duels not space but as a duelist she still should help the ming entry

fringe rose
#

Anyways i think we are off topic

#

Another tip, use mings Q to clear utility

#

Literally michelle turrets are aid to deal with

Thoughts on choosing between awakening 2 and 3?

agreed A3 gives you healing after a fight or a small bit mid fight if you do it correctly A2 gives you overhealth to start a fight which is where you need it more

A2 is usually a lot more optimal so you can push in and start a fight since if you die after taking one you won't be able to use A3 anyways. And I like to run heavy shields along with A2 too but only if there's at least 1 medic (celestia).

how do I counter ming, I like playing close combat charas, how do ppl counter ming when it comes up close?

sour gate
#

Wait until there is a opening when she isn't looking your way before you charge

#

Or just flanking her from the back works

vague citrus
#

same goes with any other debuffs or flashes just make sure you arent fighting her in a fair 1v1 because you will probably lose unless you are significantly better

What is generally the best armor option on ming?

With and without healer

It depends on how well you frag, If you are doing tons of damage then heavy is good for you regardless. If you have celes on your team and your damage is mediocre Its still fine as long as you stick with celes. But if you suck in your 1 v1 and celes is not on your team you go light armor.

-# This is my opinion

TL;DR: Shit aim? dont use ming.

Our main job is Entry and lead the team, especially when you are the solo duelist. (happen a lot in low rank when your shark teammates sucks)

at Pre-Plant, your job is to clear the site, or at least dealing as much damage as possible, and if you die after that, you are good.., otherwise if your teammates fail to enter the plant, you SUCKS.

Post-Plant the strategy is simple, you just want to sit and wait in the corner waiting the enemy to rotate, if you want use wind granade to cancel enemy defuse when you are alone defending the plant.

As for armor, most of time go with Heavy armor, Ming have armor regen, A2 or A3 is good depending the situation and how well your teammates is, A3 can be used for self armor healing and info. Personally I use light armor when the map has a lot of long corridor, like port euler.

If you good with dueling, you will win in mostly every 1vs1 duel, even with flavia the butterfly, they usually dont have time to react to use Q skill.

Our biggest counter is just enemies better Aim.

I decided to start learning Ming to hopefully improve my ranked games (and flex if nobody plays her), so what's her general game plan? I know she's THE entry and you want to take space, but how do you effectively do that. What else do I need to know?

vague solar
#

@skirk.ru can i know her build please? Do i have to use like headshot or string, light or heavy armor, max cap or reload,,, etc?

# vague solar @skirk.ru can i know her build please? Do i have to use like headshot or string,...

I gotcha again, Ming usually wants Headshot and Heavy 100%. Her whole thing is being a tank, going in, and killing. The rest isn't very important/is very dependent on your playstyle and what Awakenings you wanna use. A3 usually wants to use Duration Increase, but cooldown is never a BAD idea. It's especially useful for A2.
Stringified damage Red and movement speed are actually both usable, but A3 much prefers speed over damage red.

The rest are pure preference. I prefer Base Damage, Max Cap, and Spread the most mainly so when I gain armor it's a little bit more than normal. But all builds work. Ming is broken XD
