That's.... not the purpose of using imagination. Ai is a mechanical tool. It doesn't think. It creates art of existing art pieces. If the author made it completely themselves (using references) it was using imagination. However there is nothing much to imagine. You know that it's not hard to made? You just send a photo to AI tool and it does stuffs for you by connecting already existingparts of art made by other real artists. Usually without their consent. You may just fix some issues.
Actually a banana taped to wall can't be compared to that. It's a completely different thing

But it would be nice if you’d actually try and draw/sketch with a pencil once in a while (not insulting you or anything, just an advice). Like for real, the only difference in between people who use AI-assisting tools to draw for them and real artists is the time, hardwork, and the actual skills that they do in their works. AI prompts don’t require that much skills at all if you ask me. You just think of a random thing, let the AI materialize your imagination, just a few edits, then boom. Easy and time efficient.
