I really like the makeup up to the left so I thought I should do it for my mc, but the moment I tried to switch the skin tone to my normal color (right), unsurprisingly the whole look fell apart. Does anyone have tips on how to convert it?

I don't know if there's a way to convert it automatically. Might have to adjust all the settings to match the skin.
For example, I would make the eye color darker, make the eyebrow color black, increase the intensity of the eyeshadow and make it a darker shade, increase the intensity of the blush and make it a darker red, remove lip shine.
