Also is anyone aware of other ways to join Velvet Shade? I screwed up joining the first time when I got an invite based on high elegance when I first started playing (I chose the wrong option and got rejected by both VS and MT because I couldn't decide at the time). Does the elegance trigger ever reset or is it a one time deal?

Tried partnership and immediate separation as well and didn't get anything.
