Subject: LATAM Latency & Attack Delay Issues

LATAM players experience severe attack delays in PvP/PvE. Online light attacks (e.g., twinblades) take nearly double the time compared to solo mode, making gameplay unviable. Given LATAM’s market size and economic impact, do you plan to add SA servers or fix this lag? If these issues persist, I will stop playing as I cannot enjoy the full game experience. I look forward to your response regarding potential solutions.

As people already said here, it's really hard to play with the attack and deflect delays. It's almost impossible to parry attacks on PVP and we need to press several times and seconds earlier to parry attacks on PVE when playing team mode. Sometimes it is exhausting to play PVP Arena and GVG Wars because we clearly have a strong disadvantage and there is nothing we can do about it — only you guys.

So, as a brazilian player, we have experienced some issues about the ping diff and latency. Is so frustrating that we need to do literally magic to predict some moves and react to them. Also, the guild war is always a stressful challenge cuz sometimes the enemy just vanish and suddenly show up in your screen.

Detailed Description:

Well, I’m not a hardcore PvP player, but Where Winds Meet is genuinely making me interested in this type of gameplay. However, the connectivity issues are very disappointing and are seriously discouraging me.

My experience with GvG was terrible, not because the gameplay itself is bad, but because players in the session, including the Goose, were constantly teleporting. I mean, performance felt unstable, with visible desync and player/NPCs teleportation. I have a high-end PC (ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4090 24GB) and a 1Gbps internet connection, yet my PC felt like a potato during matches.

In 1v1 Arenas, sometimes the connection is stable, sometimes it’s not. It’s very frustrating to lose fights simply because I only realize I was hit several seconds after it actually happened.

In 3v3 Arenas, the experience is almost the same as GvGs, chaotic, mainly because it’s hard to know where players actually are during the match.

Even in Solo mode, I occasionally feel some lag, though it’s less noticeable. However, in Co-op, I recently tried helping a friend who was hosting on PS5, and it was almost unplayable. The boss fight felt extremely slow, and there was significant input lag — even though I was several levels above him.

We urgently need:

- Dedicated server nodes for Solo, Co-op, and Online Exploration mode as well
- Regional matchmaking for Arenas and GvG
- Know before matchs starts which server region we are connected to.

PS: I believe it’s important to mention that English is not my/our native language, so that may be why there are fewer feedback reports from our region. However, the community here is very interested in improvements. I’m even creating a Discord server to bring players together locally independently of guild silos. For the game to grow stronger in our region, even better translation and improved ping stability are essential.

Detailed Description: `I am writing to formally report ongoing network performance issues in Where Winds Meet that are significantly affecting the multiplayer experience.

All co-op modes are engaging and well-designed; however, high latency and unstable connections frequently result in input delay, command lag, and desynchronization. In PvP modes, the issue is even more critical. Large ping differences between players create an unfair competitive environment, placing higher-latency players at a consistent disadvantage.

Many players within the community report similar problems, including rubberbanding, delayed skill activation, sudden disconnections, and matchmaking with players from distant regions. These issues discourage participation in co-op activities, PvP matches, and community-hosted events. Repeated disconnects and command delays make the experience frustrating and, at times, unplayable.

Improved server infrastructure, such as dedicated regional servers and ping-based matchmaking, would significantly enhance stability, fairness, and overall player retention. Addressing these concerns would greatly improve the multiplayer environment and encourage stronger community engagement.`

Detailed Description: Please, bring a South America (SA) server to Where Winds Meet. It is extremely frustrating to play group content with the current ping the region has, as you all as developers already know the combat in this game is very reliant on a low ping environment. The game received a local translation recently which is awesome but we still need a node for SA, otherwise we won’t be able to play the game to it’s full potential which will eventually make people abandon the game as they see the lag preventing them from progressing further in the game for group content such as PvP, GvG and raids. Make SA server happen, NetEase, you have an amazing game in your hands and we, as SA players, do want to keep playing and spending in this game, but we need a dedicated server in order to commit to this game in the long run.

I would like to provide important feedback regarding the current server experience.

The high latency has been severely affecting gameplay, especially in precision-based activities such as Hero’s Helm and Sword Trial. These modes require fast reactions and accurate timing, and constantly playing with 300ms ping (as shown in Online Mode) makes the experience extremely frustrating and unfair.

With this level of latency:

Skills do not respond at the correct time
Dodges and counters fail even when executed with proper timing
The character takes damage before actions register on screen
Competitive performance is heavily compromised
I am often unable to switch weapons properly (for example, from sword to spear) because of the delay

A 300ms ping is simply not acceptable for content that demands precision and fast response.

For players in Brazil and South America, it is essential to have a dedicated server in São Paulo. The region has a large and active player base, and the absence of a local server directly impacts gameplay quality.

We strongly request a dedicated server in São Paulo to ensure:

Lower latency (ideally below 40–60ms)
Better stability
Fair competitive conditions
Improved player retention in South America

The Brazilian community wants to keep investing time in the game, but we need proper technical conditions to do so.

Thank you for your attention, and we hope to hear from the team regarding South American servers.

Well, I believe that when the game was released to the Western audience, you may not have expected PvP and PvE to become so highly competitive. After all, Where Winds Meet is a rich game, full of stories, depth, and world-building. However, we are competitive players.

And honestly—who told you to create PvP that is this good to play? Because when something is this good, frustration naturally follows.

The problem is that we cannot truly experience PvP as intended. Players from Brazil, for example, rely almost entirely on Fanbrella. We are unable to perform sword attacks properly, as our combos are constantly canceled due to high ping.

New weapons will be introduced, and this is one of the things the community wants the most—but what is the point? We will not be able to use them effectively. The ping simply does not allow it. Even Twin Blade, which is a fast weapon, has its basic attacks consistently parried due to latency.

As a result, any artistic or advanced combo designed by you cannot be properly executed by us. You put incredible effort into creating a system where extraordinary gameplay can be discovered, yet at the same time, we are unable to fully enjoy it.

We need dedicated servers—for PvP, PvE, and online activities in general.

this poll should be more widely promoted. At the moment, it is hidden within Discord, and I only became aware of it through an acquaintance.

Detailed Description: Prezados desenvolvedores,

Subject: SA Server and Lag Issues.

Hi team WhereWindsMeet
First off, thanks for the recent local translation—it’s a great step. However, we really need to talk about the lack of an SA server.
As you know, WWM has a high skill combat system that’s completely dependent on low latency. Currently, playing from South America with high ping makes high end group content especially PvP, GvG, and Raids nearly impossible to enjoy. We’re hit with constant attack delays that break the flow of combat.
We love the game and want to invest our time and resources into it for the long haul, but without a local node, many players in the region will eventually drop off out of frustration. Please, consider an SA server so we can actually play the game to its full potential. You have an amazing title here; don't let the lag push a whole continent away."

Hi, I'm from Brazil, and unfortunately, I play with 110~130 ms. That's the reality for most of us here in South America.

The PvP in this game is incredible, but with high ping, true combos don't work at all. Half of my combos fail, and people just escape and walk away.

3v3? You can barely escape the Umbrellas' stun, and then there are the combos that don't hit the enemy.

GvG? It's impossible to even hit the enemy, they just walk away. If GvG is slow for you who play with good ping, imagine what it's like for us.

I made a video facing high-level players with high latency, half of my combos don't work at all.

h ttps://youtu.be/3IE18bQ1ss0?si=ETUf3RakxFrw7XD3

In any case, I sincerely hope that NetEase will provide us with a dedicated server in our continent, or at least try to solve the ping problem with 'true combos'.

Subject: High latency, lack of a South American dedicated server.

I won't go in too deep about this because by now It's the main problem regarding SA and this specific thread but high latency hinders most if not all content.

●Dual Blades can't be played if you're from SA. Right now, the difference in hits per 30 seconds is abysmal in most casses (from 70-80 hits vs the 100-102 hits from NA located players)

●Nameless Sword can't be played if you're from SA.
57 Vagrant Sword waves vs 66 waves fron NA located players in 1 min makes the DPS difference in dummy testing easily of 2k/s just because of high latency.

●Mo Blade/Stormbreaker spear will not register hits or blocks sometimes due to high latency. This is hindering Mo Blade playstyle as executing blocks while equipped with Exquisite Scenery sometimes won't trigger the riposte-like-effect from Exquisite Scenery.

●Vernal Umbrella also does less hits per minute, even further with the non t6 Blossom Barrage rotation.

●Strategic Sword has issues to mantain the rotation due to high latency causing combos to either take too long or just not connect/miss the follow up.

All of these issues can be narrowed down to high latency issues due to a lack of dedicated servers. Some more problems include:

●Attacks visually hit/waste Endurance/Vitality but register 0 damage and they make no sound. This is extremely common with Nameless Sword waves and Mo Blade heavy charged hits.

●Arena ping makes it either unplayable or frustating due to true/fake combos. Any player with lower ping than us can easily stun lock or just punish our combos.

●Insane weapon swap delay lag, hindering any combo that requires to swap weapons middle of it.

●GearUp booster doesn't fix/improve the issue!

●Community has lost interest/started to migrate to other games due to a constant feeling of abandonment.
