I was wondering : does anyone else feel they'd like to see their buildings more "used" ? Like, it's cool to have beautifull places and do photos, but what I like the most is when people visit ^^

But visit for visit is kinda boring. So I was thinking why not organize a tournament in our custom builds ? I myself built an arena in my world, and I've seen on reddit that @idle crystal also plan to build one. Maybe their is also other interesting arenas here around ^^

What I propose would be something like :

  • Two contestant agree to fight in a host arena
  • The host and the two contestants decide a date and time
  • At said time, the host invite the two contestant in his world
  • The fight is in best of 3 (5 rounds max)
  • The winner get one point

I could do some kind of leaderboard here. To maximize visits in different worlds and opponents I was thinking on making a rule to only allow one fight between two specific contestant and a specific host. That way if you have your "archenemy", you are pushed to find new arenas to fight in.

What do you think ? Is their people here interested either to propose an arena or to fight in other's people's arenas ? I'm also open to suggestion on the rules or the organization.

One last point : if this proposition meet a lot of interest, I could automatize all that in a dedicated website, that's my job IRL.

Ok, let's to try to make a first match then, we'll see if it's working ^^

I'm a builder myself, and not mo much of a PvP player. So the biggest blind spot for me is to see if there is some fighters who want to take part in the experiment. Please let me know here or in DM if you are willing to fight. I'll organise the first fight in my arena.

(which is still work in progress actually, aestetically wise, but it will motivate me to work on it if people use it 😅 )

I built a sky arena as part of our guild sky deck. Not been used much tho.

Besides, a lot of things whent out since I posted this, guild buildings, 30v30 moba guild battles, etc ... it's not like if we were out of things to do in this game :p

Honestly, I feel like solo builds have way more potential than what we have right now. Like guild bases don’t really feel home-like, and the building restrictions, guild mates preferences etc out there make it hard to create something personal. Solo mode feels much better creatively, but it’s super limited in interaction.
It would be really cool if solo/home zones had a higher visitor limit — even letting more than 5 people visit would make a big difference. Being able to give friends access to your build via a home teleport, or even “renting” a space to friends, would make personal builds feel more alive.
Another fun idea could be a tourism-style option where you can list your build for public viewing. Anyone could visit, and the owner could gain popularity or some coins from it. That would really encourage creativity and give builders a reason to refine their spaces.
Overall, I just wish solo builds could be more social without being forced into guild bases. Feels like that would make the game world a lot more lively.

Technically speaking however, it's not as said as done. Increasing user's visit limit can probably be done dev's side, but it's not like having a limit of 20 people would drastically change the situation in my opinion. Actually, I don't have 4 persons willing to visit my world XD On the other side, I belive worlds are actually limited to owners online time, which is on a technical perspective a good way to go in my opinion (peer to peer ftw). Giving friends possibility to visit on's world at will would be great imo fr, but it will always be limited to manual interactions.

Another important fact is that we are in an unprecedented situation here with a chinese game going global, dealing with global requests and localizations problemes all while keeping on with chinese releases. I'm quite happy with the fact that Everstone/Netease went whith the "hard" path of releasing qol features early in global version, so first question I would ask would be : does chinese players already have that ? If not, I think it would be an interesting situation where global release could suggest something interesting for chinese community as well.
