I went to the shop and tried to pull the red outfit thing from the draw. I tried to buy a ten pull, only to find out it’s 30 dollars for one ten pull. How does that even make sense? I get that it’s a free game, but why are they overcharging like this. 💀

legendary items are supposed to be "legendary" I guess ? the gatcha items cost around 400-500$ if you hit pity

if you want to spend less, there are guaranteed skins for 1$/10$/20$ ?

treat the premium gacha like a luxury item, don’t even bother with it outside slowly getting rolls towards pity while playing

Yeah, OK, they’re legendary, but making it so expensive that normal people can’t even think about getting them is ridiculous. And I saw that on the CN servers they don’t even have to deal with that gacha BS. Look at Valorant for example. I’ve played the game, don’t even really enjoy it, but I bought some $100 bundle skins because they were cool. Three ten pulls would get me there, and I probably still wouldn’t even get anything good.

If 250$ is more fair you can save up half the rolls and pay for the rest. I suggest not FOMOing and thinking about if you actually want the outfit, save rolls, pay a part of it, the more you're willing to pay the more frequently you can get a banner.

Literally buying the whole banner out of pocket every time is probably just targeted to get money out of people where it doesn't matter if its 250, 500 or 1000$.

The gachas are "so bad" (the consolation prices are not motivating at all, the price is stupid high) that I have a hard time feeling like they're trying to hook average people on it. They could do a lot more to try to manipulate people into spending if that was the goal, I think.

I think the disconnect with global is a bit on how it's perceived here because it further just discourages spending at all, like it sends the message that you buying a 40€ outfit is basically money they don't really care about. I think CN doesn't perceive things that way at all.

It's a bit like those cringe scenes in movies "If you have to ask the price you can't afford it", it's borderline insulting whether it's true or not.

fwiw, I bought a bunch of banners in Once Human because there were a lot of nice things on them even in the epic prizes so I felt like I got some things of value on the way to pity. Here I'm looking at literally just dumping the full price and getting a single thing in return. Even the process of just pressing the button and collecting my fireworks or whatever is discouraging doing it, there's 0 excitement in the pulls cause you know it'll be consumables until pity basically.

Its very typical netease monetization unfortunately. Despite being able to enjoy the game fully without, its still is a netease game

It's weird, I like the game and want to support it. I don't mind spend 5–10€ for 1–3 skins. But I won't buy skin for 30-50€. Devs don't want my 5€?

No problem if there are expensive skins, but make also cheap one. Like in real life.

Honestly I think the cheaper outfits are more appealing, I was rocking the 580 pearl red robe since day one, it's exactly the kind of look I wanted in a game like this. The gacha ones are thematically just weird. The current looks a bit like a santa claus dress. That being said, tastes are different.

I really liked the one they just released from even before it came out and feeling a bit slighted now since it's an entirely different payment model in Global.

It's just the "I want to own it all/I want to catch it all/I want to collect them all" mentality that makes people go crazy. Just enjoy the game as it's free.
