To cut this short the Gatcha in once human and net easy Gatcha in general was always very predatory.
With that at the very beginning of once human their Gatcha was similar to the current one we have in WWM
players riot, the Gatcha felt extremely unreasonable and unfair, the skin prices are no so different but more accessible there is now 3 ways to get them.
Collecting shards, pulling it or collecting orbs.
The orbs difference is extreme like you pay approximately £50 to get two/three of them and that’s enough for a beautiful outfit with effects

Not to add that we have way more freedom in terms of mixing outfits effects and all the accessories

I have never played a gatcha game and felt completly punked by this. I did the first few rolls willingly - then I had to keep buying more to get the costume as I was in my mind "already half way there". I love the game, its great but I won't be buying anything outside the battlepass from now on. It's not that I dont have the money to spend, it made me feel scammed. Guys please also consider that hitting 150 pity doesn't guarantee the outfit that you want. It only guarantees one legendary orb. You need 2 orbs to get an outfit.

Of course you can be lucky and get more than 1 orb or the outfit itself but guaranteed is only I orb at 150 pulls, If I heard it correctly.

Meaning you have to spend 300 pulls worth of money if you want to actually get what you want.

I agree with the egregious gacha shenaniganry (as it is with every gacha game). I loved this outfit but I dont plan on rolling the slots just for a chance to get it in X number of times, Same goes for the "probability costumes" from the wandering path challenges, done about 100 runs and no outfit or the hair. Instead they should have made it 50% chance to get the outfit in 20 tries and a 100% in next 10-15-ish for the F2P players those who dont want to/cant spend money on the game so that they get something from the game. leave the gache slots for the whales outthere who dont mind spending stupid amount of money to spin to win. I know its purely cosmetic but in a game where you want to look cool while fighting NPC's the least they could do is make the "obtainable" outfits a bit easier to drop rather than grinding for days with little to no "luck" on it. I find it fascinating how many people complain about prices of skins in a free game that is absolutely gorgeous and not p2w at all (so far) and filled with content (so far). who the f*** cares about what you thought it's gonna be or how they scammed you? It's a skin. it's not required for progression. It doesn't help you in any way shape or form. Just look pretty when you drop dead in the arena or get one shotted by a boss.

If you want to make people aware of a "scummy" thing and tell them.. beware! prices increase after each pull, fine. but to whine that "you thought it's a nice little welcome package" and you got ripped off it's absolutely tragic. (at least for me)

it's pixels in a video game, the production cost associated with creating it is already paid (in china, where they are paying the artists far less, not to mention the studio's widespread use of AI)

it costs them 0 money to reproduce an infinite amount of times anywhere in the world. there are no logistical, shipping, or production costs associated with distributing the skin that they are not already fulfilling.

it's entirely reasonable to critique exploitive monetization especially in a game which flings ads for that monetization at you literally every single time you open the game or interact with half the menus

if you reversed the situation and charged global release players comparitively small prices for skins, but charged chinese players prices as much as 5-10x that for the same content, I promise you baidu or rednote or whatever would be full of the same criticism

They don't know that in China, you have lower prices by default and many more free events (many). For example, in Naraka, the EU server hasn't given out a single free item yet, and the events that happen every three months in China happen once a year. In China, everyone was given free Battle Passes and Mythic skins (almost the best in the game). At the same time, players on other servers received absolutely nothing, and on other servers, the server is worse, the functions of many options are simply not there.

That's very dishonest most people thought that the tab was just a preview for the victory animation. Also most people are not used to a gacha system that escalates it's pulls every time you pull. Genshin the most main stream gacha doesn't have that mechanic, speaking of genshin they properly labeled the details of their gacha mechanics in that game. They didn't hide it.
