For section 1, I went with the first one. I think it gives the person choosing it a solid place to begin - whether they want someone who is less "made up", wanted to go for more of a female warrior look, or even if they would eventually add more makeup and flourish.
For section 2 - 3 was easily my favorite! She's pretty to me! Lol I like how round her face is. And the shirt and the golden hair pins and accessories kinda remind me of the ladies-in-waiting from Curse of the Golden Flower or something like that.
In section 3, I like 2. He looks like an imperial prince, but still maintains a tougher look. Like even though he's royalty, he looks like a formidable opponent. Plus I like that fur and shirt combo!
And with section 4, it was 4 for me.. I think that's the one I chose when I played the beta! Lol the hair and the umbrella.. so elegant, so scholarly! Lol I could see him strolling through the garden with an umbrella for a hot day or showing bandits that he's just as skilled with his sword as he is his pen before opening his umbrella back up and walking away - he looks cool as winter breeze!

I didn't get chance to play beta or get to create my character. All I see r faces no body shape. Some female and make faces look the same.
