Why is it when I respawn, the toggle acceleration turns off?

I crashed on purpose to show what happens

I still think toggle should be more like auto acceleration. One press of the gas and nothing but the brakes will turn it off

I use toggle to free up R2 in order to air roll, and therefore b-hop
