For context, I play on fightstick, and would prefer to have an option to place it between two lanes manually, or remove it entirely, rather than have the game determine which lanes I'm dividing by itself. I don't even understand how those could be considered left/right dividers on a normal controller.

its possible on keyboard (by changing binds from the default df|jkl or sdf|jk but yeah) this should be on controller

They consider it a left right divider because default binds use ⬅️ ➡️ d-pad (which is the left side) then the top 3 face buttons on the right side of the controller making the split where its at
