add Emmet to Lego Fortnite he will be the best guy to ever come to Lego Fortnite franchise the legend him self Emmet the guy from the Lego movie i wish there were more types of him anyways he could help players build buildings he is the perfect guy to be in game and also he could sleep in players villages. he can be with players if they need more resources to collect for buildings resources players can trade building resources with Emmet in Lego Fortnite Emmet can be skin for players

This would be cool and a no-brainer

But unfortunately, I don't think this can happen due to multiple factors

1. As @gritty idol said, Emmett is a character partially owned by WBD

Just recently, LEGO cut ties with WBD of film, TV, and games rights with the LEGO company and they are now working with multiple other companies instead of just one (Epic Games and a few indies for games, Universal for movies)

It’s going to take multiple parties to get WBD, Epic, and LEGO, all agreeing and saying it’s worth it to work together to say yes to dust up the LEGO Movie IP (which keep in mind, the second movie flopped and the reason why they parted ways) once more for this one guest character

Also contingently related, but it’s been a long time since Fortnite had a collab with a WBD IP in a good while

2. If they managed, there is no way that Emmett can be a playable outfit because all LEGO-style outfits must have a normal Fortnite variant

And Emmet (and all LEGO original characters for that matter) all started as LEGO minifigs, not the other way around

So the only possible way that could work is if LEGO and Warner Bros give the okay to the artists at Epic Games, to make a human original design for Emment for any non-LEGO experiences

Which would be almost non-existent

So he would have to be simply one of those NPC walking around or villagers / Easter Egg like that “Everyone is Awesome” playset instead of a playable character

Meaning they would have to ask WB
Which would be fine, but WB and Lego aren’t on the greatest terms anymore

Which is probably why the DC skins haven’t gotten a updated Lego version

you cant change outfits in Fortnite unless players have the different outfits for the same outfits but you can change the gliders the pick axe

They could have Emmet be in his mech suit from the film to be the Fortnite skin. It would be really awesome to play as that in Battle Royale
