Consider adding a new toy that is a block type: Glide Block. A glide block is just like a normal granite or wood foundation block, except that 1) it has no friction property, 2) has similar bounce properties as tires, and 3) it floats.

Glide blocks could be used with vehicles such as monorails, elevators, and boats to keep them on track without breaking due to friction or impact and it could make boats float. It would also be a lighter material than wood or granite, making it ideal for airships and vehicles with the strength of granite.

Red was chosen as the color because it looks more like a toy than a foundation block and because if it is used as the foundation for a boat, it matches the tradition of boats being red below the water line.

Name: Glide Block

Properties: No Friction and Bouncy (like tires), Lightweight, Durable (like granite), Floats on water.

would be good in sandbox mode, since in Survival, you can just use a bunch of balloons or thrusters to get in the air. no, some of the stuff in the game isn't that real, but the game still follows gravity.

Why would it be bad in Survival?

gravity

sandbox kinda. doesn't have much of that if you can fly. plus sandbox is for being creative

The glide block doesn't' defy gravity. It floats on water, not in the air. You'd still beed balloons and thrusters.

ohh

either way, the other toy block that usually has thrusters and stuff does float on water

Oh I didn't know. I haven't tried to make a boat. Are you talking about the dynamic foundation- that floats?

The biggest pain my suggestion fixes is things like monorails. Currently friction when using rails is a big deal. Elevators too. This provides the option to make a rail or elevator shaft that doesn't cause friction when the vehicle is rubbing past it.

#

Elevators often fall out of place for example, when you log in, because walls can't touch the foundation. If the walls were made out of glide block, they'd hold the elevator in place without causing it to break when using.
