My flow avatars seem to be getting better and I've been tightening up my prompts. The production run I'm running for my next video.has 39 avatar creations in it. The first 10, flawless, 1 iteration. So the other day, I asked Gemini about SeeDance 2.0, and it kind of spilled the beans to me about next week. So I made 7 predictions in a video about it. either factual or total hallucinations, I guess we'll find out. I can't wait to Find out on Tuesday how wrong or right I was. my second video with flow, had some trouble with veo 3.1 lite in getting consistency. not sure why. but ultimately it worked and had to stitch / edit /cut the videos multiple times. but still learning about veo prompting.

Trying the new omni model, with no start frame + end frame or continue scene capability it is a bit tough atm

This action scene generated with Omni Flash; an AGI model combining Veo, Nano Banana, and Genie. Omni does a great job at automatically generating multi-shot videos, keeping the characters consistent, maintaining fairly stable environments, and putting together a clean scene. The only downside is that since it uses Veo 3.1 as its base generative model, the subject's motion still looks stiff and unnatural. I think Veo definitely still needs an upgrade.

In my personal opinion, keeping the entire object, such as a character, constantly visible on the screen makes it easier to maintain consistency. This is because Flow (Veo) only references information from the most recent video. (Flow forgets about elements that are not visible on the screen.)
Specifically, set the camera to approximately a 45-degree angle and keep it still.

Omni model, I feel at this point that it's quite a bit behind the Chinese models, as it takes many prompts and generations to get clips that make sense. 6 months ago this would have been more impressive, but now I am spoiled and was expecting more 😄

Omni is much more creative than Veo3.1 was!

Is there any way to choose Veo instead of Omni for image-to-video generation through the Gemini App? I’m not really a fan of the current Omni output. The AI logo placement in the bottom-right corner sits a bit too high compared to Veo’s logo, which used to be much easier to crop without affecting the frame too much.

For realistic videos, I can understand the placement choice, maybe as a way to indicate that the video was made with AI. But for animation, I don’t think it’s necessary, and the current logo position is pretty bad since it’s much harder to crop without affecting a significant part of the frame. You can see from the 2 video posts right above me, that the AI logo placement takes up too much space in the frame, both for long-form landscape videos and short-form portrait videos.

I hope a future Omni update moves the AI logo slightly lower in the bottom-right corner so it’s easier to crop without impacting the composition too much.

Compared to Kling 3 or Seedance 2.0, the new Google Omni model feels light-years behind. Both character physics and video quality remain at the same level as Veo 3.1 or even 3.0. In my view, Google Omni will require a new version—something like Veo 4—to handle its full potential. I don’t see any other scenario where Google leaves it as it is.
