Currently to unlock Eldritch gear, a player either plays rituals blindly hoping for the scrolls to drop out finds the steam community post to look up and do some targeted farming.

I propose that the player is given scraps of riddles or maps, either as drop or in the archive, that gives clues to locations where the Eldritch gear scrolls can drop.

This feels thematic for the setting, finding powerful artifacts based on ancient riddles and fragments of maps.

Additionally it would let players look into the lore and reward them for doing so.

It gives direction to the hunt for Eldritch gear, without just being a giant quest arrow.

I kinda despite forced lore if it break the overall immersion of exepted gameplay

but i do kinda like the idea of following trace to some degree feelsThinkingMan
currenctly elderitch scroll is a very good concept but it feel inperfect in how we get them (when you have them completed its good , but the unlocking part is a bit weird)

i currently dont have a perfect idea to propose either so to me it feel like an improvement 👍

I actually considered this at first and most of the scrolls do drop from enemies that are somehow thematically linked to the item, but because of the nature of the game being pure instant gratification and dopamine spikes it kind of didn't fit in.

It would have lead to players searching the list online anyway.

I guess finding randomly one scroll could point out on the world map where the next can be found.

To be fair. I did go to fight the winged lady to see if she dropped a wing scroll.

Im just at the point where I have four Eldritch gear remaining, but aside from looking at the out of game list, no idea where I should be going to get them.
