Hi, I am gonna post here my feedback and go over a few things (while not creating a topic for each)

I am enjoying the demo, but the more i know the less I enjoy it

  1. Menu navigation: WASD snapping feels clunkly and sometimes doesnt move me at all to what direction I press. But mouse works just fine
  2. Altar upgrades: all except Altar of Fortune feel pointless to level up. There is basically no difference in having them leveled up either as a fresh player or someone who has some gametime already.
Example: Altar of endurance (extra hp): Early game you don't need it. Late game you get oneshot no matter what hp you have
Altar of Cunning (extra crit%): Early game it makes no difference. Lategame you dont need it, because you got capped with a couple of gear upgrades. You might argue that by leveling up altars you end up saving an upgrade or two in your run, but how impactful it really is? It isn't
Altar of Tougness (reduced bleed): similar to above
  3. Hero bonus attribute selection: is an redundant choice. It doesn't affect anything, which is also why you can reroll indefinitely I get it, but why is it a thing if it doesn't do anything?
  4. UI: I can't read it 😄 Half the time I have to lean forward, because the font is too small to read for me (I don't have issues elswehere)
  5. gameplay visibility: is poor the more you progress in a run because the damage numbers unlike the UI font are too big covering everything leaving little space on the screen to see anything

  1. Caps: too many attributes are hard capped. Some for a good reason and some not necessarily. It takes away from build variety
  2. Builds: whether it is a class, weapon or abilities they are distinguishable from one to another early on. Later? not so much
  3. Balance:
abilities: every ability that says "every x second do something" is bad. Self explanatory
attributes: so in runs where I collect all the defensive upgrades, all the dodges, blocks, resistances, shields and all sorts of other things, I have to question myself why even bother collecting these if no matter what I do, I still get oneshot to something I probably won't even see on my screen because it is covered with numbers.
And all this time I am collecting these upgrades in hopes they will pay off. But there never is a point where it pays off. That is a problem. You can't outrun opponents, tank them or outplay them. You just die.
And maybe it is supposed to be tuned like that for the demo. And if it isn't then why for example would you go for burn damage if your goal is to oneshot enemies or kill them before they catch up to you. Things like that

That's about it and thanks for releasing demo

Merged this to one thread for you @mystic sun :)

Idefyx have you tried to change the UI size from options to make it easier to read fonts? Can also reduce the size of damage numbers or completely remove them.
