The spot is used by HQ because Maneater gets stuck there and they can kill it before its 30 second teleport timer elapses. I think several moons have spots but Artifice is the HQ moon so you see it there

so that if people are using LostEnemyFix it'll just make the game say fuck you and teleport the maneater out instantly

I think the generic fire exit block asset is a big cause since nearly every vanilla moon uses it
You can clip Maneater into the corner of the structure and kill it. Vow dam also has a couple spots, as do some rocks on Assurance
You may have to do some research
lostenemyfix is only for enemies not on navmesh
yeah so if lost enemy fix is ever needed it's usually a moon error cough (or interior lol)

it warps to said node
the timer for that occurring takes longer than shoveling it to death takes though
yeah as long as your navmesh connects as a whole you're good
which is why it's usually exploited for an easy maneater kill
lost enemy fix is a mod that should never be needed, but people make mistakes and cause enemies to spawn oob sometimes
and well, whatever other possible reason you'd have for an enemy exiting navmesh somehow

and it blends between the two to darken the sky

it's a vanilla bug but vanilla also conveniently avoids the issue due to some expensive code
basically if FindExitPoint() gets called on an EntranceTeleport with ID 1 (the first fire exit) on any map that generates more than one fire exit (just March in vanilla) before RoundManager.SetExitIDs runs
it would allow that fire exit to pick any of the exits on the inside as a destination since they would all still be ID 1
all exterior entrances call this function 10 seconds after the scene loads, so if the dungeon had generated by then but exit IDs weren't set, it would cause the first fire exit to cache the wrong destination
the reason this problem didn't manifest for months is because in vanilla, using an entrance teleport re-searches the scene and picks the destination again every single time
i had included an optimization in butteryfixes about a month back because i didnt think that additional search would be necessary, but that optimization would allow the wrong warp to "stick" for the rest of the day
then i made the mod to fix it because i forgot about that optimization i made (lol)
the reason i deprecated the mod is because i could just change butteryfixes' optimization to not increase the severity of the bug
and if you dont use butteryfixes, you wouldnt need a fix mod anyway

at least until matty's entrance patches get released, i assume (he changes a lot more about the entrance teleport logic)
i accidentally caused the teleport issue by preventing vanilla's logic from resolving the bug in an update to butteryfixes back in march
and the latest version has updated logic which prevents it from occurring
i made the standalone mod before it was confirmed that my optimization was causing issues (it is very obvious in hindsight but i forgot i made the change)
and once it was i just changed the optimization to not cause issues anymore
i haven't seen anybody report the issue occurring since the update on the 27th
filesize is prolly doubling next update in favor of less ram usage

I think it was just a reverb trigger being weird, sometimes if you move at the right timing as the ship is gonna land it happens

and like dopa said when you're routed to one moon in DistinctMoonVariety when they're merged it will force all of them to load into ram instead of that specific moon
This explains why with StarlancerMoons I get like a 10 second freeze anytime I route to one of his moons, Solace is beefy and has to forcefully load into ram with the other moons

routing to a moon and getting a freeze is unrelated to any bundle loading stuff, LLL does it async so it shouldnt impact your game much, itll just lock the lever until its done
Starlancer's freeze when routing to them cus Solace is so large, Rosies Moons also freeze if you use her full package atm cus it has to load all those into ram due to being merged
That's how she discovered it cus she was testing hot loading
if they're not hot reloadable, they're always loaded to begin with
and if they are, they'll load over time so it shouldnt induce any freezes
Exactly, the thing is they are hot reload compatible but the LethalBundles are merged, so it loads all the moons at once into ram instead of the one specific moon when routing to one of them
so there is a freeze since LLL has to load it all at once
This only happens with Starlancers and Rosies atm as far as I'm aware, but it's why merging the Lethalbundles is bad for moons
Batby at one point a while ago told the dev of LunarLights not to merge their moons into one bundle and now I understand why
