I think I looked up how to use the Unity terrain stuff because I couldnāt figure out how to make a dip (you basically canāt make it dip below the ābottomā but you can raise the top up and then carve downward into the thickened terrain object).

Yeah moon making was my first Unity experience too. I think it might be easier than building a game from scratch? Idk, but like a lot of stuff is already there. We just kind of build with that (or onto it with stuff like JLL. Or custom code if youāre really wild)

Depends on content. Moons donāt really need it. People like Batby have done the heavy lifting with LLL and nomnom with the tool we use to rip the game into Unity. JLL and similar libraries also help a lot with more mechanics

Theyāre pretty simple. Rip the game (the moon tutorial shows how) and then you just kind of use the gameās stuff for it. The registering it in game part will vary but LLL isnāt hard. Havenāt used CodeRebirthLib but I imagine it is similar

The other thing that I'm unsure of is animation because many of my ideas have idle animations and animations while being used.

honestly, taldor was my first experience with unity (I've used AutoCAD before, so i <knew> how to do certain things) but overall, with the tutorial it is pretty intuitive

it was pretty easy, though i recommend going in with a concept and maybe like a tiny sketch or idea of the pathing

I have no idea if this has become apparent yet, but the "deepmines" dungeon flow has doorways that don't align to cardinal directions, which will cause some undefined behavior in DunGen (and CullFactory)
chances are you could end up with some tiles clipping into each other, because it can't accurately represent the tile bounds when tiles aren't axis-aligned, and when a doorway is rotated, the entire section of the dungeon attached to it inherits that off-axis rotation
I have to disable culling on that flow in CullFactory because of this, which is fine, but keep in mind that you might have other issues too

I think the occlusion is a bit heavy and seems to ignore the light sources a bit and the materials in the ceiling reflect too much.
All and all this is pretty good.

You could probably do this. JLL can enable/disable objects in the scene so what if you had like a root object with some scripts for randomly toggling stuff, then below it two objects to be like the parent of your scene variations. Each one would contain the stuff needed for that version of the scene and you would just at the start have one randomly enabled and disable the rest?

I just spent the past several minutes trying to figure out what an assignment for one of my college classes is in reference to. For context, basically, itās an online class. Weāve had a group project and an individual project. In each of them we drafted up some written thing. This assignment was about revising but I could not figure out if it was talking about the group one or the individual one. Because it seems to talk about both somewhat? Like the first part refers to something that then refers to something else that was a part of the group one, but the other questions seem more related to the individual assignment. If you go to the submission page it says everyone in the group submits their own copy as if this was a group assignment, but the instructions linked there go back to the individual assignment.
Which also, same class, but I gotta say I am not a fan of how several of these assignments are spread over 2-3 pages. Like, the submission is on one page and the instructions are a different one and the instructions and submission page I swear are like named similar but different AND all the stuff already is named like the same thing. Like multiple different assignments that donāt go together are like M1.2SomethingGenericThatSoundsLikeTheOtherM1.2Stuff even though they donāt go together. Itās like a web! Agh!
