idea for the mall interior, some shops have a rare chance to have a lever that slowly shuts the door allowing you to trap enemies (maybe not certain ones though, things like jesters would be way too easy to trap)
you can already trap enemies in the facility with the security doors
security doors don't lead to dead ends that often, shops would always be dead ends (i think)
maybe its just luck but I often see dead ends or near dead ends with the security doors

actually wait, another point, secure doors require someone in the ship

i implemented a very similar idea in the storage complex so ill do it here too

checked out the moons and interiors, thoughts so far
storage complex: fine i guess, but felt a bit generic. snare fleas don't attach to the ceiling correctly in some spots, mostly next to walls (which seemed to be the main spot they attach to, out of 40 snare fleas i only saw 1 attach to somewhere other than next to a doorframe/blocker)
reign: interesting layout. the fog cube seems a bit unnecessarily tall. also, i don't know what exactly it is but the building felt a bit silly. half of it was the stretched door.
thalassic: building feels a bit small. lacks a fauna section in the description.
desperation: has an inconsistent name. there's a dash between the number and the moon name, while vanilla moons do not. good layout, reminds me distinctly of old sierra from my own mod. i wonder if it'd look interesting with experimentation theming? also shoutout to the boa contricter
symbiosis: same inconsistent dash as desperation. terrain texture could be better, add some more variety instead of a single gravelly asphalt texture. i don't think it really needs the lights leading to main. elevator at fire exit has no wires, it's just floating. also the underground section has lighting as if you were outside.
veld: terrain is a bit dark

the blockyness was a style choice but i could change it incredibly easily if i wanted to
since each tile wall is comprised of a prefab, i could edit its prefab and all other walls would instantly sync
but i was going for a brutalist style so i kept edges sharp
in other good news, ive got the mall loaded into my interior project
now i just need to split the tiles and actually implement random gen
maybe ill do this.. tmr...

and some of it mentions a moon called 1-Sunset
ferb, i know what were gonna do today at some point
im gonna try and make it a colony moon where in lore, the company used to train their employees there but it got abandoned
and now were coming back to get scrap
cus it says in the lore for the beta stuff, that if employees fail to do blah blah blah they get sent to 1-sunset to be reeducated

Even before JLL he had a bunch of hazard stuff set up
Don't get me wrong, it was hella performance intensive, but it worked fairly well

Unique interactions in what way? Setting something to be interactable and doing an action is easy, what action were u thinking of doing
im not a fan of these monster spawns on nephrite
chance of indoor eyeless dogs and frequent nutcrackers from nighttime spawns
not only are eyeless dogs evil inside, but theres an issue with starlancer AI fix where if you have the same monster spawn both inside and outside, the spawn caps are shared between both
and this can cause jankiness with spawns
nutcrackers outside here are terrible cause there is like no where to avoid them
nutcracker sight is actually a lot bigger than it may initially seem and they can spot you from like 40 unity units away
thats not an exact just an estimate

It's all pretty easy, @pearl creek did you ever have any documentation for JLL?
its more common to encounter an eyeless dog inside here than it is to encounter a nutcracker/ghost girl on experimentation

The special button interactions would just be using interact trigger (for adding an interact box), animated object trigger (for animating the button), and JLL (to spawn the nutcracker and maybe other stuff)
no but things that people usually are confused about have tooltips in editor that you can read
is there like, a list of the special scripts JLL adds?
I think the names are usually self explanatory so when you import the dll and click the arrow and it shows all the scripts, you kinda see em there
You can also do stuff like pressing add component and typing "Enemy" seeing "JEnemySpawner" and figuring out what it does
if you look at the dll in unity after you've correctly imported it (make sure to turn off validate refrences)
there will be a little arrow next to the dll in your project files, if you click to expand it that will show you every component in the mod
but thats only after i import it

Initially there was no code, all animation based, bad for performance, isn't very good but still worked okay
Then Jacob helped wesley with a lot of his stuff
For the longest time wesley didn't have any code in his stuff
Also writing the code for the mortar is actually fairly easy, it's a very simple hazard
