Hey, I noticed in my log somewhere it said CodeRebirth open/close doors
I think that was related to the ship. If that is what the log means, I have a huge problme I think that might originate from this mod. I'm not too sure though

It might not be an error but it seems to be related to some door since it says it, but my ship dysnc has this problem where rarely the ship will do what it says in my support thread. Wider ship and 2 story ship says they don't mess with the door at all, but if that code rebirth log thingy means it does then it might be the cause. I don't know for sure though

it's near impossible to disect the logs for proper errors with that mod spamming error constantly
so your best bet is to reproduce it without that mod
and THEN you'll have a better shot of figuring it out

it could be related, and/or not the actual cause, again, it's almost impossible to figure out what the error is with how many errors are in your log

bug report: so i was in a fanmade moon called Detritus, near something that could charge dull aparatuses to be worth more, i was by that area, both me and drone gal were holding a dull apartus. I charged mine and placed it down, but when i had her drop her's, it just vanished out of thin air???
Was just looking through CodeRebirth's changelog and config and was wondering about something. In the debug section should "remove interior fog" really default true? I know it's controversial but it is an intended vanilla feature. I like the option being there, but I don't know that personally I like the default being to get rid of it. I don't think I would've known this mod was getting rid of it if I hadn't seen the changelog mention the option.

i had it defaulted to true because it was made for a specific purpose and i accidently removed it and there was just a lot of conflicting stuff on ma mind at the time kek, ill default it to false in a couple days when i know something i want to know for sure

Looking forward to trying this mod out more in depth. Added it to a pack that I intend to share with my friends (if I can ever get all of them on again lol). Looks really cool from the README and bare minimum, non invasive testing I did to see about any potential pack issues.
shockwave gal just decided "No I will not take any of your items" basically they're not taking my items and it just drops them on the floor infront of her (Also still finding issues with the bigger ship mods like two story and wider ship where at certain points of the ship she just puts the items on the outside of the ship or just clips through the walls"

The ship issue is probably an issue with the bigger ship, you can move her charger to prevent that because thats where she drops items at
yeah rn I have them just in the main area of the ship (The center)
Ive seen the dropping items on the floor issue before, very rarely, cant look at logs tonight, maybe xu will check but we'll see if we can figure this out

I was killed when the meteor shower hit me directly, but after I died, the sound effect of the hit kept repeating.
Have you changed any trap generation parameters?
If the config was different the last two times this happened, I don't think it was my trap settings that was causing it
But yes, I removed the end section of all of them
So I only get a few traps instead of there being a chance where a lot of the same one can spawn per map
But again, this happened twice in the old config. So I don't think it was the traps
The problem I encountered was that I modified the trap generation parameters incorrectly, which led to the wrong parameters and I couldn't land, which showed that the spaceship could open the door but couldn't go out.
Oh, well my problem sounds a but different. I have a thread going way more in depth in the support channel. I've heard of 4 people who has had this problem and none of us have found a solution.
If you think this problem is caused by Coderebirth, Then you can try to delete the current configuration and start the game to generate a default configuration file.
I don't think it is, it had it's old config last two times. Do you have LCOffice in your modpack?
If you still can't land under the default configuration, it means it's not the problem of Coderebirth.

Good luck. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting configuration problems and finally found that I couldn't land because I adjusted the wrong parameters myself. I hope you can find out the problem as soon as possible.
Btw, maybe you can send your configuration file if it's convenient for you, so I can see for myself whether those humble numbers are wrong.
I don't think they are wrong though, they are work correctly and I'm able to land in moons. Just in multiplayer, very rarely, I can't so I don't think it's the traps
Just disable wooden crates and raise the safes spawn rates.
i found out bear traps can spawn inside the ship and sometime right in front of the lever. if u take off while being trapped inside the ship, u'll clip down the ship and leave u

Ok chat very important question and poll coming. To gauge if people want the other gals enough for me and xu to finish them. Im kinda demotivated and need confirmation. Ill post a poll with the description of the other 2 gals.
Terminal gal :
- sends out a scan that shows loot
- unlocks doors and safes
- recharges equipment
- can tp you back to the ship instantly with all items once (emergency tp)
Cruiser gal :
- can launch you up like a horseshoot with an eject seat
- can carry alot of items back to the ship quickly (alot more than shockwave gal)
- can control when to send her back with items any time
Both of these gals arent combat orientated and cant deal with monsters

To be frankly honest it sounds like you and Xu don’t really want to make more Gals and would rather either take a break or work on something else you’d enjoy more.
2 is probably enough option for most players anyway, and cruiser and terminal gal don’t have many abilities that the others don’t, or that don’t exist in other similar mods.

The thing about the Gals is if people don't like them they can disable them. Code Rebirth isn't just about Gals it's about the variety of content you can pick and choose to add. Every piece in it is their passion created for us. People need to understand that not every update is gonna be to their liking and should just leave it be. Their work is so impressive and amazing. I nerfed the Gals my self as they are a bit strong but I balanced them. Their whole design is just so cool and impressive. Even if I choose to not use one it's still cool to have seamine gal in her chair in the ship watching over it. It's shows their passion and commitment to their work they made for us.
If they choose to not continue i will respect that decision, but i honestly hope they do cause when they started the Gal project for Code Rebirth they were so excited, and I was excited for them. The more motivated they are and passionate they are about something you know it's gonna be good and even if you don't like them you have to admit what they pulled off is impressive!

no idea, it'd be pretty hard to diagnose an issue that occurs when there's more than 4 players since i cant test on more than 4 instances myself

One thing to note is that scraps spawned from a wooden crate via the whitelist dont respect the LQ config for their min/max values being overridden
Note in LQ the max value i set is much lower than the default (which is 480, which x0.4 is 192, whereas mine is 240, which is 96 when x0.4, yet the one from the crate is using the default value)
In fact its even higher than that, but thats due to Rainy as well (x1.15)
its not a big deal, i probably wont even have the fire axe in crates because its a bit too strong
it might matter a bit for dice since i halved all their value since they can just have it gambled off
Otherwise, scrap items added to the wooden crates work fine

I mean wooden crate is mostly for gear, by default its just shop items
so i would be fine with Dice and other such things having a value of 0 if they come from the wooden crate rather than found in the facility

when i used this mod, it fucked with the weather values and made them spawn every day. is this just a problem with my mods or is it some issue with the mod?

hhh thats hard to think of, it was likely a few month ago before most of traps were added and it was mostly just the coins, friendly monsters and the weather events

Ehh, okay, for whatever reason, I am no longer seeing any of the indoor hazards. In fact, I am barely seeing any of these hazards at all, just some bear traps scattered here and there. Not even an ACU in sight
Did you change how the config has to recognize the inputs or something?
The config was indeed changed, but ur old config values shoulda been overwritten

everything is still super weathery. last time i tried fixing the weatherregistry i didn't really know how to change the chances back. I'll check again and ask if you can help me.

There's this bug on any moons with meteor shower where you can't hear like half the sounds in the game, the main one being footsteps and some sounds of other entities.

yeah when there's too many meteors and sounds it wil block some sounds ingame, i recomend using MaxSoundsFix by hardy i think

We do have a higher spawn of them, for larger interiors where we agreed it was better to have more so they do something and are more likely to block doors

I noticed it got stuck really easily on trees, a suggestion I have is it to break trees to avoid getting stuck
Also the scraps from the microwave pretty often spawned on the floor, instead of inside the microwave

Currently I see no bugs with CodeRebirth that need me to prioritise fixing, some small tiny issues here and there but nothing that would actually pose any problems to players normally, so I'm finally going to take my break, don't ping me, don't bother me, if there's any bugs you put em on the github and I'll take a look then.
Reasons I'm taking a break:
- First of, the excuse/not-actually-a-reason reason, Which is that I've got University and I need to deal with that, so far I've just been doing both and it's not really a healthy way of doing things but I've never actually cared too much about it.
- Second of all, this thread had become a place of toxicity a few times and this mod itself has become a thing that caused me to feel hate and/or absolutely be feeling like trash, this could be for reasons like people going out of their way to recommend people to not touch the mod and make up false reasons for why, such as lag, I'm sure that at some points for this mod there were times where it would cause lag, but I don't believe I've ever let anything of that sort stay on this mod for more than a singular day at most, and seeing people I looked up to and enjoyed talking with doing these actions, whether it was behind my back or not, made me feel not great, understandably, this thread was also just not that great at all, with times where me and rodrigo's work would be summed up as having 0 time or effort put into it, when I've spent multiple hours, everyday, without break, for the last maybe 10 months on modding.
Now whether you believe that my actions here are childish or unreasonable or I'm overexaggerating like some people in my absence suggested, that's up to you, I'm only giving a reason so that people understand why I'm done.
And by done I mean I do not enjoy working on this mod at all anymore, it was fun, I did unique things no one ever did before, one of
the first custom weathers, pioneered enemies, hazards, items and a million other things.
As a famous quote goes: "I came, I saw, I Conquered".
Now im a modding addict, so i'll probably go back on my words and update if there's anything cool I think of, plus I still need a few gals to implement and a couple mod compats into the mod before I'm fully done.
But again, there's a lot of two-faced behaviour and I'm also a bit guilty of that and I apologise for anyone I've talked badly about behind said back, It's hypocritical of me but here I am.
Anyway, this isn't to say that a lot of people don't enjoy the mod, what I make and so on, I'm fully aware of that, and while I don't understand entirely how much people like it, I'm sure there's a lot and I'm sure they like it a lot and I'm very thankful for everyone who's supported the mod's development, whether it was via encouraging words or donating by ko-fi or just spreading the good word of the mod, I appreciate it wholeheartedly, but words are a bitch and I just feel better not being here right now, I'll ask for this thread to be closed now.
And don't worry, I'm feeling fine, happy even, while it's sucked for a long time my mental health has never been something for me to worry about so for anyone that worries, it's fine, I'm completely okay and probably better than I might sound like right now lol.

- Fixed icy hammer and made it have a 75% chance to slow.
- Fixed microwave scrap not following microwave for clients (maybe).
- Fan doesn't push you through railing now :<.
- Added redwood spawning with breaking trees sometimes.
- Fixed seamine gal dance anim.
- Changed weights of all the weapons to be less and gave them a small sound when grabbing dropping etc.
- Fixed hazard spawning for non host clients in debug mode.
- Fixed item spawning value for microwave scrap.
- Fixed wooden seed spawning (maybe).
- Got rid of lineofsight check for seamine gal's explosion.
- Fixed bug with gals where they'd disappear when lobby was reloaded.
Also check the tool in pins for the hazard config if you wanna change it, You can add or remove points with left click and right click, then there's more settings that u can read when u delete the default entry, but the defaults are pretty good

How does the spawn curve work for hazzards
Vanilla generates a random number between 0 and 1, then it picks the y-axis equivalent of that number then rounds it to nearest integer
