I couldn't actually figure out why the gal can't shoe the corner thing in the bottom right when she returns, but she does send her own notif now with a bit of an improved parenting onto ship system

so that a normal height jump can't trigger it?
Xu's adding it so you have to be above it at a certain height for it to trigger, so you need to be above it, in its angle range and with line of sight
i can add like a 10 second headstart timer for hte player
Also heres abridged hazard lore :
- Flash turret : surveying camera
- Laser : mining laser used to extract ores
- Microwave : used to weaken and crack rock to help with mining
- Fan : aeration system while mining
- Bear trap : used against local wildlife as defense while mining
- Bug zapper : used against the bigger enemies as a defense while mining
- Air control : used againt air enemies as a defense while mining
All were pieces of equipment used for a mining operation that went south when all the software bugged, making the machines go haywire and kill the crew

Found the issue, was Loadstone nightly

Gal would basically break on that moon since the fire exits didn't generate properly, and I usually test with loadstone nightly so dunno if it's that

I think I just had deleted the lethallevelloader config and this was the first moon I had landed on, don't know if that's relevant.
the ac unit is easy to dodge if you know what you're doing with the jetpack
it just feels like it'd discourage people from learning it
laser turret laser can go through walls if it spawns close enough to them
microwaves can get stuck on eachother and doors
microwaves are silly, ill increase the range for them opening doors since they're supposed to do that
in terms of laser turret i think thats just the visual of the impact

The way how i view the ac cannon is its more a way for pack makers to balance a moon with anti jetpack stuff i guess, rather than being something you'd want on all moons etc.
No jetpack day basically depending on where it is
none of the traps have configs for anything other than if they spawn and how many spawn, you can't make them spawn on a specific moon

For all creature / trap mods i enable them on all moons and set the chance to 0, then add them in LQ where i want them

Are there any plans to separate CodeRebirth's flora and hazards into their own respective mods? Having to download everything despite having 99% of them disabled is kind of mental, especially when installing it into a fresh modpack, where it takes a hell of a long time to load upon initial startup.
if something is disabled its not supposed to be loaded up on startup

It's weird. So like, unpon a fresh install of CodeRebirth, it takes like 10 years for the game to boot up. Once after the game has actually registered the mod though and created all of its configs; it's fast again.
Even so, having to go through the entire mod just for some plants and hazards is kind of a hassle, and takes up unnecessary space.
i think a mod should load everything it provides first so it doesn't break anything
because it makes sense
i mean, the problem you're facing right now is just first time loading the mod ever
i'd halt productivity by like 5x separating everything into its own mod just for a faster minute on first time load
it's like you're getting a car without windows for the summer because it's too hot without thinking about the winter later

It's kind of like downloading a whole-ass moon just for its exclusive interior. Cough, Tranquility.

the whole mod is 50mb, doesnt load into RAM if you disable something
so its just disk space
the difference between a whole ass moon is that those are usually made not with optimisation, like 80mb and are always loaded into memory so do actually mess with performance

also what do people think about a good default number for the hazards? the mod has 7 hazards and im not sure how to balance the number of them that should be spawning by default, rn i just put a number randomly without thinking while making the config, 5, which means that anywhere from 0 to 5 can spawn
Not sure if it already works like this but hazards should have a ramping behaviour.
If one spawns having a second spawn becomes less likely. Or alternatively a set chance for one to spawn which ramps higher each time increasing chance of having a group of 2-3.
Mobs like nutcrackers and baboon hawks work like this in vanilla
right now the graph for them to spawn is linear, but i could try making an inversely exponential/whatever the graph is called
Might work best with bear traps to have a higher chance of multiple spawning, instead of just having a set chance which makes it mostly random.

When playing vanilla I've been to Rend with like 6 turrets in just the mansion entrance, maybe 15+ in the entire interior and Rend with no turrets at all

some of my friends really hated the fog, and i dint really have much stuff to do im able to do rn so i changed configs a bit so your configs might've been reset for the hazards, but i decreased their abundance to something more reasonable and gave them a better description, in terms of the haloween fog i added a config thats disabled by default htat gets rid of the fog

shockwavegalai has a shockwavecharger field and shockwavecharger has a shockwavegalai field, both of them work and set each other fine on the server, but because of how i instantiate and spawn the gal, the client isnt seeing the info

did you make it wait multiple frames for the network object to have spawned? what the mask does is wait for like 20 seconds or until the reference becomes real

I tried a OnSpawn event that waits until it spawns and in the coroutine also waited for until it spawned and it just never did for client no idea why

I think my favourite part so far was getting yeeted into the sky by the "windy" weather while trying to get my flashlight from the dropship, because I got really unlucky and EVERY free moon on the first day of the save was either windy, meteor shower or eclipsed
the next day it was all clear so I just used LGU's forcecredits command to get back the credits needed to re-buy my unfairly lost flashlight
was very funny getting yeeted though
until I release my API

So they are spread out but when they spawn they spawn in groups
so are the acunits supposed to be threats? Because they never hit me when I use my jetpack, and only time they do hit me is when I jump ontop of them
