Lost Souls Trap/Enemy Concept:
I don't know how I got this idea, but I thought, why not share it with you?
- Lore:
I thought about an indoor trap/enemy that spawns while the seed is created indoors. It can't move and could appear at a random location in the facility. The lore would be that some time before you started this mission, there was another team of employees, but of course, they didn't make it out alive. Their souls adapted to the environment of the ground and merged with it. But as they noticed another team would start this mission on the moon to empty the building, their lost souls became angry and don't want you to succeed. The company never told you that on this moon another team already tried their luck but wasn't able to come back alive. You could blame the company for this action.
- Behavior:
I think it works like quicksand on rainy moon days but indoors. They grab you if you don't watch your step, and I thought about 2 options for how they react:
They surprise you and grab your legs if you don't use your flashlight to fill the hallways with light. If you run through the hallways without a flashlight on, they use the chance and grab the first employee in targetable range.
They would react to noises. The louder you talk and the louder your footsteps are, especially while running, the more likely they are to catch you if you are near them.
They would only spawn in hallways where there is not much room to dodge them, not in bigger rooms if possible.
