Mod managers brings all files to the my mod's root folder and ignores subfolders

My suit mod has the .png for the suit itself in a moresuits subfolder, but when I try downloading it from r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager they don't include the moresuits subfolder and bring the .png forward next to the icon, manifest, and README. The mod ends up not working in these cases. If I try manually downloading from Thunderstore's website, the folder setup is completely intact and it works fine.

This is my first mod and I have no idea what's causing this, so any support would be really appreciated 🙏
