Mostly because I forgot you can adjust the grid size when i started
so each store would be like 20m wide

blender going into unity and vice versa is really strange so I'm not sure

in order to find out the scale we would have to import into unity (along with the scale human you have) and try and scale everything globally to match human size to player model size
I have no reference frame to scale things to match up with ingame scale so
The human model is included in the bounding box file iirc
if you can rescale everything so the human scale matches, and then send me that scale, I can rescale things on my end before things are imported to unity
because when you import to unity, theres a simple setting you can put in to change the imported scale

I just had a moment where the thought popped up in my head like "what if there were two variations of an apparatus room?"
Basically virtually the same tile and effect except the housing is a simplified version of this generator with a removable control box (which kinda looks like the white box in the image) that has a tiny c-cell type battery in it on the right.
I had the idea while I was fucking around in the cozy office interior because I noticed it had a unique apparatus which was a big ass CRT monitor.
It would also make sense because there are many malls that have a 400kv diesel generator as a backup or sub power system.
Theoretically we could even use existing scrap and object models to put together a mock up of that generator.

i think we get the maintenance and main mall tiles done, as well as a food court tile and a couple of stores and restaurants, finish all the other stuff such as apparatus, scrap, and monster spawns
then we release the interior to get some public feedback
and then start releasing store tiles in batches
that way we don’t get burnt out to release all those store tiles and have some free time after release
But also this way we can catch issues as they arrise.
Actually before we even release version 1 we should play test the hell out of it even if it seems complete.

You could have a separate generation algorithm that applies the maintenance hallways or have them load second so they connect properly.
My tiles are high precision, it really just depends on how you set the door sockets
Since the tiles are a 4x4 grid of 10 meters, you should be able to just type numbers in to position the door sockets
i dont think itll be much of an issue if the tiles are precise

As long as it looks vaguely correct from like 10-5 ft away it should be fine, no one who plays this game unless they're mod creators themselves are guaranteed to not notice. Most people don't really notice the weird size discrepancies in the vanilla game as is.

the scale is not exactly half of its original size height wise, so i would half to distort the height different from the rest but then the tiles will look weird
