Might be a dumb question but if I have giant specimens and code rebirth, with the redwood giant enabled in both, will one just override the other or will like both the revamped version and the old version have a chance to spawn

So I scrolled up a bit and learned what the Redwood is called in the files (PinkGiantObj) ((Awesome sauce)) In case anyone was having the same problem as me and have not been able to find PinkGiantOb anywhere, Lethal quantities is indeed weird with names as Xu mentioned somewhere above. Apparently, this whole time I was not actually configurating the Driftwood. Moral of the story: ID is what matters

The way coderebirth is made, it can act as multiple mods under one mod, so as long as stuff is turned off in config it's like it was never there and doesn't take background ram
Also like, a lot of repeat code would be used and a lot of time would be wasted if I maintained multiple mods

Xu said she’d update it if it breaks but I wouldn’t blame her if she decides to discontinue it altogether. CodeRebirth is arguable a better mod to maintain and you can disable features you don’t want. Unfortunately it means there’s no guarantee for cactus giant, may it rest well o7

Giant Specimens has the Redwood Giant. CR has the Redwood Titan. The Redwood Titan has a more updated model, AI and some lil differences in the quirks of its behaviour. Its pretty much an upgrade, but if you like the old redwood both can spawn with no issues. Driftwood giant is still exclusive to Giant Specimens.

In the pinned messages one mentions this mod being reworked into CodeRebirth and obviously the redwood made it, but since CodeRebirth is kind of on hold indefinitely for now (which I understand. I got to share my first Redwood encounter because it should not have gone as it did. Was trying CodeRebirth out on some of my moons and the first one I went to was eclipsed. I land and jump out of the ship and scan (I scan religiously even when there's no need, to the point I randomly right click in other games) and I see the "new creature data" message pop up. I was walking right by the things feet! It was just standing there and I honestly thought it was one of those randomly placed boulders! How does that thing apparently blend in in my brain?

It's weight, think of it like a lottery, each enemy has a number of marbles put into a bag and the game pulls a random marble to figure out what enemy to spawn

The redwood giant has been moved to CodeRebirth and the driftwood giant will be added later on, next update I think.
Download that instead. It’s a large content mod but any features you don’t want can be disabled in the config and won’t be loaded into the game.
Sadly cactus giant isn’t being added from what I’ve gathered. Don’t think it would work well on most moons anyway since cacti is just not a thing in vanilla LC
