Dragon Giant (Based on the Socotra Dragon Tree)
A hostile giant with a big bustling amount of strange twigs forming about its head like a samurai straw hat. Its head looks demonic... draconic, whichever you prefer. Perfect for a lunar festival!
Rather than chasing players down to eat them, the Dragon Giant will huff and puff out a cone of flames instead that scorches not just the player, but also the ground beneath temporarily. Don't be fooled however by its method of murder, when close enough the Dragon Giant will still pick you up and... totally not copy a certain other enemy's killing animation.
A forest that fires itself!
When damaged, the Dragon Giant will begin to bleed from different parts of its body, which leaks down onto the ground. These puddles remain forever, and are hot enough to make employees become a footloose parody! Now, you'd be able to just jump over these puddles fine, but once the dragon giant dares to flare, the flames will begin to become quite a obstacle to dare! Flaming pillars that burn upwards from the puddles, you surely want to think twice before harming this giant. Though its worth it! Because the Dragon Giant beholds mighty fine Blood Dragon Fruits on its head that can be grabbed when it topples.
These blood fruits can be sold for a decent price, or consumed for a fiery buff! Though beware, because you'll be injected with that dragon blood. Extra spicy to the touch, the effects will cause you to run at a faster speed, replenish your stamina but also start setting you on fire, dealing damage overtime and causing you to leave behind a trailblaze of flames (temporary unless you decide to.. for some reason, step on a hot puddle.)

What are you trying to do
The concept Masa has in mind for the visual is that its still a giant in design ofc, with everything made of wood, twigs & leaves. Just instead of trying to eat you, it kinda torches fire towards you like a spewing forge! Masa added the blood trails to reference how the dragon tree looks like it 'bleeds' when its sap is shown. So Masa wanted to play on that idea. Lastly, Masa thought that maybe getting something out of the giant could be cool, since the Socratra Dragon Tree grows fruits.
Its taking 'dragon' literally, while still functioning like a Socatra Dragon Tree.

That's completely fine, just to reiterate the steps, model the scrap, animate whatever you need, get sounds and a little texture to put on the bottom for the hotbar (or default), then make a project in code that would let you register the item (though LLL might not need a code project for that)

Evergreen Giant (Based on the Pine/Spruce and the general Evergreen trees)
The Evergreen Giant has never lost its leaves once, constantly able to keep its green colors. The giant isn't really a fighter, or a eater, but bestiary loggers have determined the Evergreen Giant a 'involuntary danger'. The Evergreen Giant is tall, lanky, but not so much as the Redwood Giant, only ranging its height a bit taller than the Driftwood. Its face looks a bit elderly, its mouth apparently shut, compared to the usual giant. Definitely your best friend during Christmas, since it will follow up New Year's Eve a bit sooner than you might think.
The Evergreen Giant grows pine or spruce cones, depending on its bark colors. The Spruce variant is a bit more greyish and bleak in its color, with far more saturated cones growing on it, whilst the Pine variant is more saturated in its colors, while the cones are a bit more darkish, and spread out, rather than hardened. The Spruce cones are made to be very metallic, which is usually considered the least dangerous of the two, and in fact, valuable to the company as 'scrap', though once it becomes stormy, this cone starts to become a issue. A good lightning rod though! But also something circuit bees love to get attracted to. As for the pine however.. lets just say watch your step! As these pinecones are.. well.. explosive! Kind of like grenades. Dont step on them! When pressure is applied to a grenade... well, you know what happens next.
At night, it goes into slumber, but during the day, the Evergreen Giant will roam and occasionally drop these cones around the area. You can pick them up at your own risk, though moreso because of the cones rather than the giant. They don't mind you picking up their trash. But you can anger the giant still by harming it! There, two things can happen.
The Spruce will become static, and act as a pseudo stormy weather while its hurt, and the pine.. well lets just say once it picks you up, you can assure you are in a world of hurt, with all those pines on its body ready to detonate! Once the evergreen giant is struck by its own lightning or boom bones, it will lose its.. well evergreen. Did we forget to mention it doesn't eat things aslong as it stays green? Well, good luck! You're dealing with a angry, hungry.. and more lanky forest giant now! And it needs your entire crew to grow back its green.
Log mention: "Well we finally found out when its mouth opens.. Santa never felt so horrifying."

The first two ideas definitely are supposed to also help with theming around the Arid moons & the snow moons.
The Dragon Giant can easily fit in Exp/Ass/Off while the Evergreen Giant can easily fit in Rend/Dine/Titan but they both could still work well in Vow/March/Adam

Spruce and Pine would both look the same, just different colors for the sake of convenience. Unless Xu wants to make them look different that's fine but Masa had the thought of people needing to second guess which of the two Evergreen variants its gonna be :D

I like the idea of an old tree but if the mechanics are dropping what’s effectively bombs I feel like it might be more fitting to do the tree guard design

Personally Masa really liked the hunchback old man for the pine. The spruce variant idea actually came later. And Masa also thought it would be funny if you could decorate the old man giant with christmas balls instead of pinecones and turn him into santa

Which was the theory of beings manifested into objects of raw emotion after the tragedy of the golden moon. Souls damned forever to be part of the Act that were forced to remain the Company's theater. Citizens, sacrificed like fuel to the fire, a golden era turned to waste by greed.
A curse to recycle, a curse where the show must go on despite all their failures.

And I've been testing a bunch of custom monsters because it seemed at the time they were the culprit of what was happening. Disabling all new monsters, things work, but enabling even just one, then it stops.

Well, you probably got one of the Brutal Company events that like replaces the loot with super high-value stuff. (Very low chance to happen)
And I have no mods to change the loot pools asides (I'd normally use LethalQuantities, but it's not updated yet, and thus, is disabled).

why can the redwood eat old birds?
in terms of actual gameplay though. i think it's a bit silly that they can just kill old birds (with the forest giant eating particles 👁️) and seeing an old bird take down a redwood instead of the other way around would be terrifying

No idea how it would be coded or work balance wise but the RadMech could initiate a self destruct mode when getting eaten or has gotten eaten killing the Redwood

I think mechanically redwoods and old birds are very alike
in tht they're both threats that kill other entities

and lethal level loader dll, which im about to update since another release came out
though the lll and moddatalib might not be needed
those dlls are fine but the unity project dll's need to change

created a new unity project, deleted all the .meta files, deleted the pinkgiant1 that was inside assets folder
and now it works

the problem was hookgenpatcher
deleted the MMHOOK folder, reinstalled hookgenpatcher
and it generated the correct dll
time to shoot 300 shotgun shells xD
