My group thinks that we're going to be shooting at the glasses while they move.
There's a popular plugin used on big Minecraft servers called "GambleBar". Basically there's a lot of different drinks, each raising in price. And when you drink them, you have a 50% chance to x2 whatever you bought the drink for.
Its a very simple, but fun plugin because most people would try to work their way up from the least expensive drink, to winning the most expensive drink (which would obviouslly be hard to achieve because it costs a lot, and youd only have a 50% chance of winning)
And for balanacing purposes you can make the chance of winning configurable, for example 45% so that long term, the casino always wins
this is the best mod ever
I told my friend to kill me and put me on 0 in roulette
went from 5 to 270+
yeah, we found that on default FUN settings, zeroing everything on roulette is a most profitable tactics
well you have a some-odd 2.2%+ chance of getting the number correct, to multiply your output by 35
whereas slot machine is a 1% chance for x10, wheel gives a fixed 250 or 500, and blackjack doubles
Most people don't believe me when I tell em - roulette has higher odds of winning on number and money multiplication

and extra 5% on FUN, no matter what number you bet on

Looks like the official (non beta) V50 update is causing some issues with the mod. We will be fixing it ASAP and we will all be back to gambling at the casino in no time!

For this one it looks like it is an error with LC API. Which is out of date and no longer supported. Our mod actually does not use LC API because we knew about this going into it. Try removing anything that uses LC API and let us know if that works 🙂

Important Information About The v50 Update:
Some people have let us know that they are experiencing errors/issues while playing the mod after the V50 update. We have been able to determine the root cause and it is not related to our mod (that we can tell). What we were able to identify is that it is an error with LC API. We do not not use LC API in our mod since it is out of date and no longer supported. Our mod actually doesn’t utilize dependencies. If you have LC API installed this will cause TONS of errors in general.
Uninstalling any mods that are dependent on
LC API (and then uninstalling LC API) should fix any errors you are experiencing.
With that being said please be sure to continue to report anything you find to our feedback form with bug/error information. Thanks!

No worries. We noticed LC API started to become out of date a long time ago. v50 seems to have sank its ship.

Hi @wanton schooner, upon first look I don’t see any errors caused by lethal casino in those logs. It looks like errors are coming from other installed mods.
If anyone does notice any bugs/errors/overall issues that were caused by the v50 update please let us know and we will try and get them fixed ASAP. We play this mod almost every day too, so we tend to noticed things as well. But there are a lot of things we miss that all of the other players are great at finding.

Ayyy this is a VERY SPECIFIC SCUFF that happened in the casino, but a gift was thrown at one of my friends from TITSLethalCompany, the gift contained a rock from a mod. It's the one that just adds a throwable rock. Upon losing it would not lose value and he was able to go to the conversion machine and it... Could give infinite chips. It was only this specific circumstance tho. The same item obtained normally didn't do it and other items from the gifts were also normal XD

This is most likely something that has to do with that mod that we arent able to fix. That mod creator would need to fix it.
Make sure you have the "OverallDifficulty" set to nothing if you are changing those settings

Hey there is an issue that causes enemies to be invisible after inverse teleporting. Never saw anything in the logs, but after disabling this mod the issue stopped

I will keep testing but currently when we were turning them on one by one the error didn’t occur until we turned casino on. It honestly doesn’t make any sense to me either. Maybe it’s a conflict with another mod or something?

My friend chose EVEN and then got a zero. He lost, but zero is an even number (at least that's what Wikipedia said).

They are all royalty free songs.
More songs will either replace those or be added to those. The new songs will be custom/self made.

They are not on streaming platforms since they are royalty free. Plus they require a subscription to access them on the site. I could probably find them again at some point though.

Yes, we are aware of it. We will have to circle back around to it. I think it is something that is very hard to fix because of a bug in the base game of lethal company if I recall correctly.
Can a config option exist to disable the jukebox or set volume? Certain peeps are not touching it due to copyright/claims, so this isn't really an issue for me, but on their behalf. . ,.

I like this mod a ton but it gets kinda boring waiting 30 minutes for my friends to finish their gambling sesh after 30 mins of actual gameplay

the other gambling mod has less options but has a limiter
it gets tiring having to wait a long ass time to actually keep playing the videogame all the time
the other workaround is having like 5 day long quotas with a really high quota as the first

We still plan on adding a functional bar at some point. Not sure on what the timeline looks like for it yet though. A lot of original/custom asset creation will need to be done to get the really great version we are envisioning.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but there isn't a github so whatever. Just a small bug that might occur in the future, but not worth fixing it because that would require you to rewrite a lot of stuff.
I can't remember what its called, but in your code you attach a "GambleableScrap" component thing (not the right name but similar) to all grabbable objects in a prefix patch on the Start() method. I recently made a mod with a custom item that overrid the start() method and didn't call the base method. In turn that caused the GambleableScrap component to not be added to the item, and then when someone tried to gamble it it would spew errors.
I fixed it by obviously calling the base method, and changing the code in my start method. I really doubt that this is useful lmao, but I'd just thought I'd say anyway just incase someone in the future has a similar issue.
If you wanted to fix it you could instead of adding a component to each item, you could have a list/dictionary/some sort of data structure that holds all the items in a current game, and do it that way, but like... no point lol
Is anyone else having a problem with only being able to gamble once per item when hosting? When I was playing with a friend and they were hosting I could gamble infinitely. It also locked the item when I would gamble, not change the value, and wouldn’t let my friends gamble with it either. Any ideas?

Update on this, DrFeederino released a non broken version of LC_API, called LC_API_V50. Don’t know if this helps anyone but it fixed my problem.
"infinite" (in my pack, the odds of getting SCP generating is rare as hell 🤣 ...)
One of my friends was able to spam the button for chips at the machine and get items to negative value on the item for THEM but for me (host) showing the proper minimum amount and was able to get a ton more bags of chips than they should have been able to in one item.
Potentially no check for if the value of the scrap is negative?
Should be no issue in fixing somethin' like that. Just check if the item trying be used at the ATM has a negative anywhere in the value and deny it. Hell - maybe just have the ATM eat the scrap if it detects a negative value'd scrap as punishment for having it in the first place
I cant verify this but, this is from my friend in the pack we use for game nights in our server
To avoid this we just rolled back to an older version of Casino without the wheel
And prior to doing that, we did notice we was getting so much from the wheel, on realistic mode too
Me and my group generally prefer when the gambling is rigged against you, thats kinda the point, so it isnt op and generally is a gamble in the first place
If this is the case with the wheel, i would recommend toning down or something, or making it so Realistic mode does something with it at least

Question for the more veteran mod fixers, I have an issue where with the casino mod installed I cannot route to the company building. To start I don't have LC API and have checked all mods that involve new moons or tweak the terminal. I can provide lists if it helps, I just wanna blow all my friends hard earned scrap :)
Nevermind, I have fixed it. Uninstalled a couple mods at once but I think it was either lethal level loader or StarlancerAIfix causing the problem
It's a known issue with LethalLevelLoader, you should be able to fix it by using TerminalFormatter

I do still use LC_API just because the best compass mod depends on it, but I've disabled the networking stuff in the config and have had no issues with any mods, including Casino

well the other ones available are either intrusive or are too zoomed in to be really useful
I don't think the one I use modifies the ship monitors
but it's aligned so that north on the monitor is north on the compass

one issue with finding somebody who died in the midst of like dine or rend
is figuring where they are
especially if killed by something that eats up the body, but the loot is still there
it's small, unobtrusive, smooth, and gives good info at a glance

From my knowledge, no. You have to restart your lethal company after changing anything related to the config files.
Can you please consider adding a config option to disable the "uninstall LC_API" message? I understand the recommendation but I'm using it for 1 mod that has no viable alternatives, and with the networking option in LC_API disabled it causes no conflicts, so I'd like to be able to get rid of this message

I've discovered an issue, not with the mod, but with an interaction of another mod to this mod-
weight reduction with chips = death 🤣
0 clue why
LethalProgression and weight reduction has a fun time with this scrap- lol
for some reason - the weight being 0.13 is lethal
It's also extremely weird- no matter how heavy I am, the weight shows 0
but the weight doesn't "feel" 0
Ok: Correction (to LethalProgression users) - 1 chips is "safe", carrying more than 1, you're dead in seconds.
And what's even weirder- carrying the chips: death if holding 2. But putting 1, 2, 3+ chips into a shopping cart (which combines the weight of the items and has 25 pounds) - doesn't kill. Carrying 2 chips + anything (or nothing) kills you with weight reduction, but putting 2 (or more) chips into the shopping cart with any amount of weight of items puts the weight to 0 but doesn't make you mega-fast or kill you. It still does bug the weight down, but somehow removes the death. Mod interactions are weird . ,.
can we have an option for getting tickets and ticket let open casino, and there are closed doors if no casino ticket scrap is found ?

There is rarities of tickets. Common = 1x, uncommon = 1.5x, and rare = 2x odds of winning. The tickets should still have a value and be impossible to gamble

and rare being 1-2, gold-bar level

i havent done thorough testing to figure out how to replicate the bug exactly..
but i roughly think its related to the casino chips. possibly weird interaction between lethalcasino and another mod?
so my friend is weighed down by a gold bar (76 lb) ... he picks up the casino chips and his weight drops to 0 lb.
he drops off the gold bar on the counter. it still shows 0 lb, but im pretty sure it's actually -76 lb and so it gives him a speed boost.
i think the other mod could be lethalprogression. i dont know for sure, but it does mess with a player's speed & weight.
im using a forked version of lethalprogression by chibranche.. released a month ago.
is there something special with casino chips for it to mess with player weight?

yes, this is probably because chips are set to have a weight of -100. I tried setting it manually in my global LQ preset. Seeing your post it might be working. I'm not sure. For me I only observed weird behaviour with LGUs shopping cart/wheelbarrow. Not using LehtalProgression tho.
why does it have negative weight?
I have no idea. The weight for the chips asset is probably set to a value smaller than 1, or maybe it's possible to not set it at all and that ends up negative. I'm getting the -100 from LQ which itself converts the actual weight value of the item. Maybe it's capping it so the -100 might not be accurate.
See, weight calculation is weird in the game. The weight in lb displayed in HUD is not the weight value stored with the item.
i think that is weight_lb = (weight_value - 1) * 105.
So all items should have a value of exactly 1 (zero weight in-game) or larger. When making an item for a mod you might assume setting the weight to 0 means it has no weight but actually it results in negative weight. Like you have noticed the HUD would still show what you expect tho.. 0lb. Maybe that's why.

The chip backs are set to 1, so there shouldn’t be any issue with weight. We fixed this pretty early on when we realized that the chip bags were making us weight a ton in development after they poofed

by default its set to realistic wheel, meaning theres no chances on bets, there are 22 slots on the wheel, meaning each slot has a 1/22 chance, numbers are repeated on these wheels but that doesnt change the fact that 500 has a 1/22 chance still

with defaults the simplest way is to just keep splitting into chips and playing all bandit machines simultaneously. You can make any amount when have at last a couple hundred.
I remember I was quite surprised by how much I had to nerf them to make that tactic unviable. I think I'm even beyond REALISTIC preset but now it's finally a 'you can get lucky occasionally, but lose in the long run'

The bug with the chip bags this is a known bug that is marked on the mods page and is almost impossible to fix due to an underlying bug in the base game unfortunately. Just gotta sell em to contribute to quota or gamble them away!

Suggestion: configurable entry price for the wheel of fortune. It's just too effective to keep rolling the wheel. I would do 50-75 credits a spin

an Ace's value is either 1 or 11
the 8 made it so the Ace value was counted as 1, else it would've been a bust
If an ace causes a bust (when its valued 11) it reduces its value to 1
Having a config for the blackjack table and roulette table would be nice so we can make them rigged. Feels a bit too broken having them play in a fair way. Would love to use this mod but I want everything about it to be heavily rigged and only to be used out of desperation

Hey there, me and my friend absolutely LOVE this mod, however we really wish there was a way to change the volume on the audio on the jukebox and slot machines. We cant just turn down the whole game because we need audio cue's for the dangers in the game, it would be a hassle to lower it on the company and then raising it when we leave every time
the config is not for the wheel, its for the roulette table. you can set a number from 0 to 100 where thast the chance of winning outside of winning naturally through rng. And you can do the same with slots, where you can set the chance of each combination of symbols appearing.

speaking of "just exploding", we also have the mod that lets you sell exact amounts of scrap from the ship terminal, and we took a break for a really long time, before coming back, only to find that the person who makes the "sell my loot" mod has decided to have a sense of humor, and now the scrap will often be sucked up by like, a scrap eating monster? its for jokes. but apparently one of them fucking explodes, and i learnt that while standing next to it

I like the idea of something with a random effect for obvious reasons. But another idea I like is something that's double-edged and lasts for an in-game day or two. Like a small tzp effect for a day, a loss of speed but reduction in weight affecting you, etc

i put the config on 100 and still does not win
i feel like with the theme of the game some of the drinks would make you classically tipsy and others would be like "5 year expired beer" and it would poison you or turn you into a monster or something whacky

There seems to be some issue with this mod and the company moon. Maybe just disable for now
Just look at #help-and-troubleshooting for the last 48 hours, or anyone above you lol.
It only works for a whole 2 people, compared to the 20+ that it's broken their game.

@silent shuttle I looked into it today, so far with only LethalCasino installed I was not able to reproduce the crashing issue. Single player test video and Multiplayer test video It may be caused by some interaction between the Casino and another mod. Will have to keep looking into it

I've tested recent version of MoreCompany and LC_APIV50 but didn't run into the crashing still
A quick search for Casino in #help-and-troubleshooting may give you some information, at least, some mod lists+logs of people who are crashing. Especially the guy who kept posting photographs of his laptop (yeah... not very useful, I told them that too.) Unfortunately people in this community tend to run hundreds of mods, and hate debugging, so it's not as easy to pin down the issue.
i can tell you right now I have an 80+ mod modpack and just ran for 4 quotas with absolutely no problems
Here's my depenadancy log, so you might be able to rule out some of this stuff

Does the mod not work with the recent hotfix (v62)?
some people are reporting that having the casino enabled causes hard crashes but i haven't encountered it myself so it's probably a compatibility issue
if you run it in your pack and it doesn't crash, you're probably fine
casino doesnt even appear and its the only mod

No problems on my relatively small pack, definitely a mod incompatibility
Two messages above yours confuses me though.
Most of my Modpack is just bugfix mods, custom suits/models, and one custom moon & enemy, played with a group of 8 without any casino errors
(and proceeded to gamble away all the scrap before reaching the quota, as is tradition)
This was last night before v62 I think though? Will have to rerun in v62 but I was testing this morning and there at least wasn't any crashing

There's no errors with the casino in v62 as far as I've tested, it's more likely a different mod in your pack having errors/incompatibilities
I've had groups of 10 all running the casino like mad in my pack without error
