And already we've hit my favorite wesley moon and one of my favorite moons period. Where do I even start? I guess with how the moon looks. The moon looks phenomenal, the white landscape with the freezing, blue ice and the varying fog gives the moon an absolutely beautiful and dreadful landscape. The moon is also the PERFECT size, you can go either front or back (which I love btw) to get inside the facility, the front way has a really cool lift and a lake which surprisingly is super fun to travel across. I do think the ogopogo doesn't work THAT well here, but you could go around the lake. The back way doesn't have any monsters, but instead has icicles and (idk what the custom leviathans are called, my group just calls them arctic leviathans) with the rewards of multiple fire exits and a tape. The high monster spawn rate works amazingly here since they're only on one half of the map and the map is huge so monsters aren't the biggest problem. Speaking of monsters, my favorite part of the moon is the Arctic Leviathans. I really appreciate cutscenes and Polarus has the best ones in the entire mod. The landing one where the Arctic Leviathan shoots through the sky like an ostrich and lands straight into the fire exit area already tells you so much about the moon. And the leaving cutscene where it attempts to eat the ship leaves you with a warm goodbye, I WISH the arctic leviathans were actual monsters or could spawn on other moons, but that would be hell to code and would make Polarus a lot less special. Another thing I appreciate is the eclipse event, the asteroid flying through the sky and smashing into the other side of the moon works incredibly well, and it's also a much more fun way to unlock Desolation. Also side note, if you have natural selection downloaded, Earth leviathans will shoot through the sky sometimes which I think is really neat.

If you go to the configs you can see the whitelist of interiors where the Mimics spawn, iirc it's only on the vanilla ones by default. You may want to try and add some of wesley's interiors and check manually if they work or not, but they're not really made for all custom interiors

Gratar is another amazing moon, and it is my friend's favorite moon, because it reminds him of Portal. Gratar from the outside looks phenomenal, the mountains and the orange tint of the environment make it look so good. The 500 fire exits actually work very well, and don't feel too unfair since theres always a bridge. I also love the gimmick of a machine talking to you throughout the entire facility, makes the world feel so alive. The only problem I have with this moon is that the Grand Armory should really be the only interior to spawn on this moon, and also I have a bias against the fractured complex but I'll talk about that another day. The apparatus event is also SO well done, props to Wesley and the team.

Asteroid-13, I don't like writing this name so I'm just gonna call it 13: 8/10
13 *on paper * sounds like a terrible idea, a dark moon with only coil-heads and the main entrance is somewhat far away? It sounds outrageous! But in execution, the moon is done very well, and all of my friends greatly enjoy this moon as well. The moon looks really cool, a cooled and dark asteroid is incredibly interesting, and the fact that the lights can be turned on for a period make the moon a lot more fun to play. This is also one of the only times that I think a vanilla interior works better on a Wesley moon, the facility in particular fits so well thematically and mechanically and funically. The coil-heads were given a ton of justice, and especially the outdoor coil-heads make the experience not only terrifying but also SO MUCH FUN. Genuinely one of the most fun moons out there. If I had to criticize it, the fire exits are such a pain in the ass. Also side note: the peeker is also an interesting piece of equipment on this moon.

I had a really hard time trying to rank this moon, it feels wrong to criticize it in any way since this used to be the lost moon, and it started so much for Wesley. It does so much right and so many modding sins at the same time, I guess I'll start with what is right with this moon. I'm a sucker for cutscenes, so the landing and leaving cutscenes are incredibly cool, and fit the vibe of a missing moon. The reveal of the brain and the subtle humming still gives me chills whenever I have to get the cosmic apparatus. The ambience is terrifying, I love it so much. This moon is hard, but it isn't the monsters that make it difficult, it's the damn watchers. I for one really like outdoor brackens. Damn it, the watchers sometimes just make it impossible to traverse the interior and it makes it SO annoying. The moon is also WAY too big and WAY too dark for it's own good, I don't need to bring a damn passport just trying to go to main.

Junic is alright. A completely inoffensive moon. I think the overall atmosphere of this moon is really cool, and the snapping roses add a bit of life to the moon. I like the new scrap, but other than that, I don't have a lot to say about this moon. The monster spawns are fine, the scrap count is fine, the atmosphere is cool especially in the facility, the ritual cutscene is VERY cool, the moon is just kinda ok, and that's perfectly fine.

i think my reason was because exiting thru main had you turned 90 degrees. when you exit thru main, you expect your orientation to be facing completely away from main. fire exits can get away with this since they can be in funky spots sometimes.

Gloom: 5/10
Gloom is Wesley's most boring moon in my opinion. Not the worst moon, but out of every moon, Gloom is the one me and my crew actively avoid simply for feeling like a slog sometimes. It's just... nothing special. The most interesting part of this moon are the monsters, I do think the outdoor bracken is pretty cool on this moon, better than on Cosmocos, and outdoor snare fleas work a lot better than a lot of people think! (Doesn't make sense lore-wise though). The two main issues with this moon is how damn dark the damn moon is, and the map itself. It's so simple when looking at it on the wiki but no matter what because of the darkness we're always lost, especially with the two fire exits being on another continent. But, I don't really care at the end of the day, you can like any moon I don't like and vice versa.

Yay. Desolation. I don't know why THIS is the hardest moon to locate in the modpack, it really doesn't deserve it in my opinion, especially compared to the moon that literally disappeared. Desolation is an absolute eyesore, thered colors and the blinding lights are such a pain to go through. I love how many dogs spawn outside, the eyeless dogs never end. I'm kinda surprised that the interior is actually pretty tame, it's mostly just bugs and the ocassional nutcracker. Idk why fire exits are so far away, but I've seen worse. "But Brick, you've been so negative to this moon, why isn't it worse than Etern?". Simply because, damn it, the moon is really cool, and pushes LC modding to it's limits.

There is a reason there are two rankings for Fission-C, first I'll get to the good stuff, and there is a lot going right for Fission! First of all the moon is really cool-looking, the wasteland vibe is really nice and strangely enough the acid just feels like the right amount of green, I know that sounds weird but roll with it. The monster count is really balanced for the high amount of scrap, this is one of the best moons to gain a ton of scrap from. The fire exits are well-positioned as well. I'm a sucker for cutscenes so the one leaving the moon is really neat. One issue I have with this moon is some of the parkour sections and the size of it being a pain sometimes, but it's a very solid moon! (And now, the one thing that brings this moon down almost to the lever of Etern, something that makes it incredibly unfair, this is where the 3/10 kicks in).
The Outdoor Jester.
This is genuinely a terrible idea. Jesters DO NOT work outdoors, this is the worst indoor monster that can spawn outside because it always knows where you are and moves at lightning fast speeds AND can go inside of the damn ship, this is already annoying on it's own but the fact that it's a daytime monster? That means for the entire day you'll be at the mercy of the outdoor jester. I know that it can only spawn 60% of the time, and for the 40% the moon is really good, I only play with this moon via disabling the jester spawning.

I never played Conquest because it was meant to be in the new pack I was gonna work on, but I realized I wanted to do more in content configuration, and I'm sure some of you know what rabbit hole that got me into and I still haven't actually added the features I made the mod for in the first place
