Mavleeka is based on Soviet sci-fi, Gridania got its name and one of its planned mobs from a notoriously bad Soviet-era novel, and Grellier is a synthwave city.
When I Googled Gridania I found stuff related to FF XIV instead, but that's not what I reference.
Grellier is the name of the man who's considered the inventor of the synthwave aesthetic.
As for visual inspiration, think Bag Raiders' Shooting Star except playable.
And I also got cheeky, I named a moon Cull... And you land in a factory

Funnily enough I have another that's an inspiration of an inspiration.
A friend of mine had conceptualized an area in an RP of ours after the Wicker Man attraction from Alton Towers, a place he really enjoyed going to.
So one of the moons is inspired by said RP area and is named Alton. Not an amusement park, but an ashy forest with cinders and burnt grass all over.

You didn't, my moons aren't released yet.
God same. I was backpedaling to not finish it because it is so good. Same happened with The Witcher III or, more recently, Lies of P.
Before moving onto working on them one by one I prefer to write all of them down, this way I have an overarching view of how I'd want the mod to go. I'm too accustomed to the "creating as one goes" method, which in game design is a lot, lot worse than when writing, so I want to limit myself to a set, complete list.
And if even then they prove too numerous, I can always focus on the more important ones and add the rest later.
what is this tierlist I keep hearing about? I'd love a single like....place where all the somewhat well known moon mods were listed so I could try them all

How do y'all choose the names of yours?
A lot of mine were inspired by areas from my own RP, so their names and/or their numbers reference that.
For instance Poet is based on an area that was called Zepcot.
Or Faun and Selkie are based on areas that were themselves inspired by old European folklores.

There is one reference though that's orphaned from the RP, and that's Bora.
Bora's number is made of part of the date at which I released the area it's based on, but the name itself is based on the manga Pluto.
And also Cull is only named that way because it has a factory.
I didn't want to call a moon "Razor", so I threw away the naming pattern for that one too.
Mouflon is also a bit too on the nose for an alpine moon I think, but I like the name, so it stuck.
Also, I unfortunately don't use Gale, so I have no idea, sorry.

this is because you're checking if this behaviour is server and host, but because it still didn't spawned yet it sets to default value (none)
so we need to wait until values got initialized
oh interesting i didn't know this was a thing. just checked out the docs and it sounds like that also gets triggered differently based on in scene or spawned network objects. is there anything with that i should be aware of changing behaviors? (im pretty sure people use a lot of scripts in both situations)

I know others have had the issue
try disabling every mod except wesley's moons and see if it still happens. if it doesn't, you can slowly reenable a few mods at a time until it happens again to see what's doing it

I had the exact same happen the other day, but like earlier that session was able to play a tape just fine, but when player another one later it'd be all white.
The only thing I did differently in my modpack before the issue happened was that swapped Late Company for Lobby Control.

Not exactly helpful. Obviously you're supposed to move when you see the lights flickering off but I was curious if there was some hidden pattern to it or any less obvious tricks to utilize. The timing just seemed unusually difficult compared to all the other special apparatuses and similar things
You just have to go slow, the loghts turn off for a extremely short amount of time almost only letting you go one light at a time, they give you, they give you a lot of time to do it so it shouldnt be a problem

I have two questions/suggestions for Wesley's Moons.
- IIRC, the player can place the apparatus in the traincar on Empra to enjoy the faster travel speed, but there's no way to remove it when done. If progression is disabled by setting LockMoons to false, can the Empra minecart be adjusted to allow players to remove the apparatus from it? Similar to how you can place & remove the apparatus from the elevator in the new LC_Office update. Would be a nice QoL change.
- Can a config option be added that prevents the meltdown sequence from happening if one of the exterior apparatuses are taken (Cosmic, Bloody, Royal) as well as the unique replacements like the Beholder's Eye in the Atlantean Citadel & Painting in the Art Galley? Similar to how the SDM interior has a config that allows you to disable their unique apparatus replacement from triggering the meltdown. (Also a way to prevent these items from having their value overwritten by Meltdown).

because playing at the toy store entrances are just exhausting

because their vision range is HUGE

its rarely apparent how large it is when theyre inside

I initially concluded that as well until I noticed a particular config option for the SDM interior that lets you toggle whether or not its "apparatus" item triggers a meltdown.
Then again, I'm not sure how Wesley coded his unique apparatus items nor how Alice pulled this off for their interior.

scrap spawns in interiors based on the placement of certain nodes, so if an interior doesn't have those that might mean scrap doesn't spawn. I don't know if that'd work or not in actuality though. The code might not like that. But if it didn't cause a bunch of errors you could theoretically have an interior with only a single "apparatus" and no other scrap regardless of moon (keys might spawn independently, I'm not sure, but I don't think even moons have a say on that).

It could always be an interior set to only spawn on a specific moon by default. If someone configures it through LLL to be elsewhere then that's on them.

and for this, JLL might be able to do stuff. Doesn't Rosie have the Sector-0 interior have organic pieces inside like the company monster when on Sector-0 moon and not elswehere. Probably a way to flip that around and make the scrap spawns missing if it's a specific moon
Fire just dumps you into the void because it's just on top of the clam's open shell UNLESS pearl has been pulled at which point you can use it and not die

nah but it also collapses around you, pipes and parts falling, unique hazards spawn and theres a unique explosion that destroys the facility at the end with it falling apart

I've been playing with friends for quite some time on variety of moons we've seen all the wesley interiors but the art gallery is there any chance we've not been on specific spawn planet or its random like the rest of the interiors?

it is random with low chance but yeah it usually spawns on trite
Is there a way to run the game with only specific interiors loaded? Iβm not talking about LLL (I know I can just set interior spawn rates to 0), but actually preventing interiors from being loaded into memory that I intend not to use.
If the performance/memory impact of unused interiors is minimal, then itβs not a problem, but I wouldnβt know

it's got apparatus, steam leaks, cool parkour sections, security doors
so you are basing the list off of the gameplay

there is not a lot going on everthing looks the same, and not enough tiles. kinda feels bland, same for the UR ones

sometimes I like interiors to be kinda consistent with their generation but old LC office was saved by the basement area (which also had the same few hallways, but it was super cool at the time)

nah imo they were fine but nothing crazy
i remember the Mines ones cuz like every 4 meters i could look through the map because not a single tile was ever alligned properly
the Offices ones were okay because they didnt have this issue as often
yeah they both had tile issues sadly, I like mines aestetic
i somehow could never get company offices to generate and when i played company mines it was insanely dark and there was absolutely no loot despite the massive facility
Also the tiles were caves but they also had random blocky chunks in them that stopped your movement unless you jumped

i like some parts though like the catwalks with fog but very often they bug out and bleed into other rooms and stuff
i thought that offices was actualy close to good, cook it a bit more and fix some small things and it could have been a realy good interior

even with rebalanced mineshaft its the most disliked interior of my group
the flooded areas stink
a single piece of rock that sticks out is enough to be a death sentence
My buddy despises the mineshaft, and so do I. I don't mind it here and there, but if it's common it's hateful.

Indeed it was very dark. It looks very nice, but it's very unoptimized lol. I'm usually able to run interiors that require cull factory just fine without it, but wow does nuclear bunker tank your performance w/o it. Mini Reactor apparatus item being smaller in size results in some funny item holding animations too. It's a good interior, but needs more polish & a standalone release for sure.
