We got so excited after getting the last app in cosmocos that we went straight to galetry
Has anyone found a good config for the dungeon size for Art Gallery? I love the map but it feels absolutely huge espeially with no stamina-enhancing mods
so the art gallery and the grand armory (mentioning cause its similar) have very glaring problems with loot circle placements
however, a trick to know is to generally, not try to play main for gallery, and not try to play fire(s) for armory
the reason you dont want to do this is because there are specific areas nearby both entrances that connect to at least half of the loot
for the gallerys case, i am pretty sure a fire exit is guaranteed to spawn around the area the painting and the elevators spawn, its not guaranteed to be right there, but it should spawn there always if theres one exit, and one will always be at that area if theres multiple
the gallery has a majority of loot spawn around second floor, at the third floor, and at the first floor inside of glass cases
wesley recently made floor 3 have more than floor 1 generally
for the armorys case:
an elevator always spawns nearby
a locker/server room always does
and the cold storage always does
the ground section of the elevators have loot circles and the cold storage always has a room that has loot(on top of the area with server racks having a loot circle)
but on top of that, the power box only spawns in the cold storage and nearby main
if you turn the power off, that one server/locker room will start blaring an alarm, allowing you to find it easier
generally the toxic apparatus platform always spawns nearby main also

personally i dont like it
ofc the average player wouldnt realize there is consistency in the way they generate
it not being streamlined and relatively easy to understand the gimmicks kinda botchhes it for me n my group
but it ruins casual players imo because exploring feels less fun and rewarding
like there aren't any clues in the map that would allude to any of the "loot havens"
when the entire time there is consistency in how the interior generates and you can always follow a pattern to get a lot of loot
i would say this is not true of grand armory, the loot rooms are fairly obvious as they're pretty much the only non-catwalk things
the grand armory suffers more from this than art gallery because theres like
12 areas that seem like a place loot would spawn
but they just dont
i assumed so, since the map is very big and barren apart from those
toy store for example is very intuitive with the loot distribution, ppl see box and out of curiosity they check and there it is, you can open it and check for loot
also has regular loot scattered around like good old interiors
toy store feels like a mix of gallery and armory
there is no set in stone consistent generation, and both entry options can be great or terrible
doesnt help that wesley designs singular rooms in a larger scale
rubber rooms is my favorite
although i like the horror mechanics of it, some of the "fire escape" gimmicks are hard to swallow in a high stakes run if you understand what i mean
its the closest to how vanilla is styled with loot circle placement and all that jazz

ah i see, what i mean is like when there's the events of the shrinking corridor with the fire exit (you better not be full of loot or didn't waste stamina before), or how the pathing back to main exit changes all of a sudden (is that a thing or just me), or one of those "red filter" mazes

moving hallways can be sluggish but they move at consistent times afaik
they seem to have the most loot but they seem really hard to find
ig it works fantastically in showing off the tech of the map creation but when the map is selected in high guoda runs its practically a death sentence

but grand armory can also be that way after looting the initial consistent generations

first thing i do is go past the front desk, find an area to loot, loot it, come back to main
the second thing i do immediately after is go past the moving hallway
i swear its consistent
that you can loot there, go back, the hallway isnt in the way
and then i dont go past it again unless thats where the network is

i think the moving hallway tile looks like this? when you hit the red triggers, there's a chance it shifts positions for the farthest door from that trigger
i see, i think what i'll do is try and understand it a few times in singleplayer before reenabling it for the gaming seshs

art gallery in particular has immaculate vibes but is just unorthodox
I remember the first time I went to Lecaro I thought that the rock falling from the ceiling was actually a timed thing where you couldn't stay on the moon for too long
so for a while I hated it until I realized that it's actually pretty cool and that's not the case
this is really the only interior where i make absolute full use of the spray paint, TBH. if i go in from a fire exit from the outside i’ll mark it with spray paint and i’ll draw a simple chevron arrow leading back to where my exit was anytime im at an intersection
rubber rooms is awesome. the only time when it’s not awesome is those bs jumpscare doors which i have disabled now for the rest of my party

that mod also lets you sell the baby and adjust it's value
and you can stop it from growing up (which is easy mode and apparently a dad simulator lol)
the changing corridors btw is pretty simple i think - you just have to go back and forth until you wanted to go in your intended direction
specifically like go up all the way thru the corridor, then turn around and go all the way, then turn back 180 degrees again and then you should’ve now went where you wanted

Just saw this, I've also encountered and looked into this annoying bug on Trite. For some reason being near any of the scanners utterly breaks the cruiser by taking away its controls, this can potentially even softlock you in the car if it's in a bad spot because you can no longer interact with the door to get out.
Cruiser is still strong on Trite even with this awful bug though because it provides protection from turrets (still takes some finnesse to squeeze it through all those tight corridors though)
you cant get softlocked because if you jump it alters where the hitboxes of shit is for the cruiser
if you jump twice really fast, you have several frames to use the shift and door

but beyond that you can drive away from the main entrance and be completely fine
regardless, imo the cruiser is not good on trite
it can work but its too much effort
and very likely youll get screwed over
cruiser is perfect for Demetrica tho 
if you go straight to the fire exit w/ the radio it takes no time and no hassle
it's only a pain if you want to go to main

Has anybody had issues with scrap on Wesley's interiors? Even on high value moons I feel like if we roll the art museum, armory, or the hospital we're just not going to get anything even though the scanner lists high value count
those interiors have set tiles which spawn high density loot normally. But I agree with you to some degree, too much of nothing on armoury and museum, hospital i assume you mean rubber rooms i feel is okay rn

How long do the days last on cosmocos? I have AlwaysShowClock on but its stuck at 7:40.
The clock is intentionally hidden on Cosmocos so anything that makes it show will show time not moving cus the clock is designed to never appear
But it does last longer than a normal day on other moons right?

You can go into the LLL configs and modify its spawn weight per moon.
In my experience putting things at 0 still gives them a slim chance of appearing, so you can just replace the levels list in its config with "Default Values Were Empty"

Azure I would say suits it somewhat nicely, though my go-to for this moon is still Tombs.

I am shamelessly installing wesley moons, then disabling the moons in question just so I can yoink some of the custom scrap and apply it elsewhere where I think it fits best in my modpack, and would like to know if there's a nice simple list of all the custom scrap from wesley moons and which specific moons each is from

fr fr, while I'm not one to go crazy on moons and add them simply because they look extremely cool (like pretty much all of wesley's moon) I am one to add all kinds of scrap simlpy because they look extremely cool (like the majority of wesley's scrap)
a standalone mod for just the wesley scrap would be so lovely, simply to reduce bloat so unused content doesn't need to be cached or whatever when firing up the game or keeping a modpack's size more reasonable for sharing

Interestingly, Lushspire (maybe that’s it? Images don’t seem labeled, but the forest one with a bunch of water, islands, and bridges between them) kind of looks like what I’d originally had in mind for Phuket. Like, the map would be a bunch of smaller islands all cut off by moats of water and quicksand and you’d take wooden bridges, parkour over rocks/fallen trees etc to get between them. Also the collapsing bridges from Vow/Adamance so you could fall in.
Some elements of the idea are still present in my final version, but it’s not what I’d originally thought of. I do still like it though for essentially my first moon.

i think what you are referring to is soft music that plays at specific times of the day while youre outside
when you land
at 12 PM
at 5 PM
and then at 10 PM
that music plays on every single moon ever
however its bugged in vanilla and only plays on the first moon load of a game startup

Sometimes March if I feel fancy, but I avoid Adamance and Offense.

meta is to go assurance, but adamance is the one that gets you the most scrap

The great thing I can say about Offense is that bringing loot back to the ship is usually quite safe and fast, even from main. It's getting to the entrances that is trickier.
If you have a jetpack (and maybe an extension ladder? Never tried it) the fire exit is also a gigantic plus. Nothing can get you there, not even the odd guy-who-thought-putting-the-mask-on would be funny, since masked in the facilities are coded to always leave from main (and outside of that fringe case they don't spawn naturally on Offense).
Only potential threat would be flying Old Birds, but they're a threat anywhere, so.
For all intents and purposes, in terms of traversal it's basically reverse-Vow: exits that take skill or time to get to, but a relatively safer trek back.

So, with offense it depends on which entrance you go to, and how well you can get over bumps in the ground

get as many items as you can on cruiser
then fly to main for more items

Giants are tricky, yeah.
I know they have countermeasures, but unless I'm in a group playing with those stamina upgrades you can adjust midgame via exp. points, I treat them as a death sentence.
You outrun them when sprinting, but otherwise you're toast.
Giants are one of the reasons why I haven't gone back to Gloom ngl.

is there any way to get the cool 'don't-make-sound' gramophone traps on trite to spawn on other moons? They don't seem to be tied to a specific trap entity that something like Lethal Quantities and can detect and play with, but I super wanna use them elsewhere

So many moons have unique gimmicks/looks for their interior that it's easier to round up which ones don't have anything special, it's great.

is there a known issue/fix for unlocked moon data only saving/loading for the host? I assumed it was a mod incompatibility or something, but I just tried with only the core dependencies, and after reloading a save, only the host has access to the unlocked moons (specifically it seems to be more consistent with moons that the host unlocked without the client present).

Today I went to the fire exit that's after the parkour, the other two fire exits were right next to it. After doing the dizzying parkour with the apparatus I went to the other fire exit and a building was there to close the gap back to the ship.
No Old Bird, no nothing, inside or outside
I somewhat wish the skybox would move less quickly, because it gets VERY disorienting while doing the parkour.
I checked on the scan and nothing had spawned, but it does that sometimes. Might be because I have a mod to adjust day lenght, so all moons have days as long as Cosmocos's.

yeah it can get a bit buggy
i recommend getting rid of facilitymeltdown when you are getting the special apps
sometimes there is not enough time to get to the ship
collecting the apparatus on ||calist|| will be very hard to do without some god tier interior generation. but if you've already beat the game then it generally will be fine
and i notice in my end that there isn't any sounds too, like the song and thing just aren't there, making it very weird
yea calist seems horrific to do under the 2 minute timer
even just the jumps back and forth might take too long
||cosmocos|| too, sometimes it is too far to get to the ship
||demetrica|| doesn't have that much of a problem aside from the sound thing that idk if it is a me problem or another thing

Progression system only works with wesley's moons. Other custom moons will be available from the start
if you're gonna head into journey, adding other moons are pointless, only wesley moons and he's interiors will do (and other interior mods as well)

Dunno if any of what I'm about to mention could be what's causing the issue but there's a few general things i've noticed that could be dealt with
You don't need maskedenemyoverhaulfork with mirage, mirage has some of its functionality already
Lethalprogression is really old, might be causing conflicts or breaking stuff somewhere but can't say for sure, I'd be wary of it nonetheless
(Mfw when I forgot I had mirage in the pack cause we’ve seen no mimics)

I do believe he’s young, but even if he wasn’t, as someone who’s made moons I can say it’s not exactly easy. If it’s just a passion project for fun, then that’s good. My moons aren’t necessarily top of the line, but I just like doing it. It’s fun. I’m not really creative/skilled enough to create a full game but with several games I like I can come up with ideas for content so sometimes I do just that for fun.
