what makes terrain generation on cosmocos different for this to happen?
I do wonder how you made random terrarin generation and why it wasn't sync'd
Cuz for random stuff if u use the seed it all syncs up usually
yeah, cause on all other moons it was fine

exactly, the seed should already make it so everyone gets the same layout
right, but I thought the terrain would be integrated into the seed anyways so it shouldn't desync. Or that's what made the most sense to me

What is the seed then even used for? Since usually the seed is able to replicate the exact same layout

cosmocos randomizes the layout by randomly enabling/disabling a few wall objects i think
so these moons use the "Level" internal naming now?

Do not know if this is known but in Fission-C, the Stormy weather condition is bugged and lightning strikes from inside.

There's no reason for them to be extra aggressive
If you're using Diversity that might be it, I think the revamp gives you a smaller margin for error. From my experience at least.
And it definitely makes Spore Lizard a little spicier with their threat displays

i do like junic it's nice and the routes are easy
not been to the last three yet, haven't been able to schedule with my group
i do think the roses don't look enough like traps at first glance, but also once you step on one you never forget, so that's probably fine
I love how I always hear either "Junic is a maze", "I always get lost", "I can never find the main entrance" or "Junic is small with easy routes"

esp since the exit to the area is really hard to see and it just puts you back at another cabin, definitely confused us the first time. I don't think i would ever see that route without freecam
I think Gloom's fire exit gimmick is nice, opening up fire exits while closing down Main, but if I never got out of the cabin fire exit I'd never know. And my friends never even suspected it was a thing and were confused by the blocked fire exits
Maybe some way to make the detonator more apparent would be nice?

What if it was inside the Main Cave? You switch it on and you realise the exit is blocked and you must use fire exits now

But you could get easily softlocked if you blocked the main cave and the fire exits were blocked off by locked doors
Unless you're actively looking out for any features on descent I don't think one would notice even if it was highlighted up above

Gloom is always a session ender moon unfortunately, at least in my case, friends dont like brackens to begin with, and there's a ton on Gloom which makes them either alt f4 or just quit once we are back in orbit
Desolation is a tiny bit challenging but its great, idk if Eyeless Dogs should spawn but ig its challenging for a reason
Fission is amazing, no complaints, jesters are avoidable
Oldred well, maybe we are just stupid but often we die to oil geysers, just surprises us out of nowhere unless we are missing a crucial indicator of them appearing
What if an exit-only path inside the Main Cave that opens up as an alternative route in case of softlocks?
All things considered Gloom is easily my fave in terms of horror and atmosphere, but it does frequently result in a game over haha

And you should be able to hear when an oil geyser is rising underneath you

Hmmm I dunno why but this hasn't proven true with my group. I'm the host so I know something like Control Company isn't at fault but we've been snatched by 2 Brackens before or killed one Bracken and had another spawn soon after.
On both Gloom and Cosmocos we've had multiple outdoor Brackens chillin
Just earlier we had 2 try to ambush the ship at the exact same time on Cosmocos XD
I've always been told "there's only ever one Bracken that should spawn" as a general rule of thumb and I'm like BULLSHIT LOL

My opinion of the moons in which I played:

Junic(several games/played between 2~6 people): very good experience, I love the feeling of finding the entrance quickly, but sometimes just getting lost. The location of the ship that gives objects is very good and the flowers are fantastic, When you know the drill, they're still fun when you're running for your life. It will be funnier when the moon is in LLL. The price is adequate, although on my moons I give it free. 9/10

Gloom (few games/played with 2 to 3 people): It is a beautiful moon from start to finish. I like that the fire exits are blocked, I'm sure that path can be opened somehow (I haven't discovered it yet). I like that there's suddenly a thick Gloom fog inside. The price causes conflict for me, being a B, I feel that 220 is a little high.Finally, the most negative thing is the Bracken outside, I feel that one player is going to die because of the Bracken and the narrow path. Sometimes it's hard to see and I think only a few times you can escape without anyone dying, Personally, I would either increase the rewards inside the mansion or I wouldn't put Bracken outside even if it fits very well. 7.5/10.

Desolation(some games/played between 2 and 3 players): I love it, it is one of my favorite moons of your most recent moons. The new monster outside and inside make it a unique map + the logs. Maybe the dogs outside make it a little unfair, but I'm not 100% the price is right, when in LLL, the logs will be better. 9.5/10
- Oldred (some games/playing alone with my girlfriend): It is a price map, with an adequate price and you feel well rewarded when you go. I love the spikes and red bombs inside. Outside I like oil, it gives a very unique touch to the moon and it is one of my favorite Wesley moons. On the other hand, I encounter certain problems:
I think there shouldn't be Baboon Hawks and Dogs outside, I think they don't rhyme enough and considering all the other enemies, it becomes too much.
I'm not sure about this, but I don't think the red bombs inside do any damage, maybe if you're inside the explosion taking 20~50 damage would make it more fun.

I've been curious about this, actually, I've seen several Brackens inside (at the same time), almost as if they were duplicating, but couldn't pin it down to any specific mod, and then it just suddenly stopped happening with some change I did to my modlist...

Alright let me go get a code cuz don't get me wrong I'm a Bracken enjoyer but ye I've been having Brackens come out the woodwork the past month or two lol
They are a rare spawn there lol
Canโt wait for the LLL port, all of the moons are really good (although Cosmocos was causing crashes and we never found out why, hopefully thatโll be solved with the port), wouldโve kept them in my pack but LEC was causing major stability issues over the course of a session with like moons not loading and stuff, and removing it literally halved my startup time
The bombs inside don't hurt me, they beep, destroy the black balls and all that, but they just generate smoke and that's it.
The red bomb definitely kills you. We almost had a team wipe earlier cuz people didn't understand how they worked lol
Btw, I don't know how good instakill is, maybe 50 damage is better instead of 100.
Never personally found the bombs on Oldred but maybe thatโs just bad luck
I was in some games checking if they killed me and my girlfriend and nothing.
My favorite glitchy interaction in these maps is how the radioactive pools on that one moon donโt actually hurt you at all until you press Interact on them to activate them, after which they will fuck you up

This is my first time seeing the bombs, I don't know if there are other bombs in Oldred.
The other times I was checking to see if they were hurting me and apparently neither my girlfriend nor I received any harm.
Yeah the pools on Fission have an interact icon on them when you hover over them, theyโre completely harmless until you interact with them
Been that way since release, maybe itโs a pack conflict or something if it works by itself

I've learned not to interact with any of the map hazards, they've gotten me a couple times with sudden unexpected damage, haha.
Polarus ice wall, Cosmocos beam, Junic rose, etc.
I did some shitlording with spawns on some moons but I haven't altered any of Wesley's other than adding some modded scrap items that weren't spawning. (Also on that list moons are free just cuz on Sundays we do a "spin the wheel" thing)

If itโs a fix that was released in the last two days or so I wouldnโt have seen it as the mapโs been removed from my pack until the LLL port, but it was definitely still doing it on the latest version (via the Wesleyโs Moons bundle) up to that point. Worth mentioning I was using LLL in combination with LEC at this time. I can send you the profile code later today if the issue still happens when I check again
I've been damaged by traps without interacting just fine for weeks now.
To the best of my memory this is the only trap on any of the maps that I could find that explicitly wouldnโt do anything unless interacted with

#help-and-troubleshooting message Here's something I found. I do know that Wesley's doesn't use LLL, but I'm testing it cause this has occurred to me while playing with my modpack.
I tested it with no mods aside from LCBettersaves + Wesley's and dependencies + LLL (fixed is also the same). It got stuck in the same scenario on Infernis, Atlantica and Cosmocos but I'm assuming all of the moons would be the same.
Atlas Abyss didn't have this issue when I tested it as well.
This is probably just cause LLL is horrible right now lol

You can get to main either by fire exit or jetpack, but the easiest way is just to jump to the ledge while the ship is landing. The design philosophy then is to leave via fire exit or use jetpacks or parkour using an extension ladder from the edge.

i mapped this out as sort of a "campaign". difficulties do not reflect placements. SCP is the start spot. program takes D-Class personel into space for community service. community service ends up being scrap collection for a company with low morality
protagonist escapes facility, thinking the program is a better alternative (throwing someone else under the bus in the process, but that doesnt come up later)

i chose them based on a few things. if they're original and not ripped from another universe, if the moon is the thing that's named and not the specific spot theyre on, and if it can actually run in my modpack (biased, i know). only exception is Secret Labs, but i needed a start spot, and LC draws from SCP pretty heavily

Also I know this isn't part of the moons, but it's a Wesley mod and I couldn't find a thread for it, but I added the MagoNeverScreams mod and it seems like it gets rid of the ||baby crying noises from the Old Birds which is good cuz one of my regulars was struggling to watch vanilla cuz they panicked thinking something was wrong with their baby. It's so good haha I think either one of the audios was scuffed tho or one of the variants doesn't have an alt attached to it cuz we heard the vanilla sound for one of the variants and it threw us off haha||

I'm working on custom balancing some moons that have their loot values too far out of wack and whipped up a spreadsheet to help me track this information. The issue is that when collecting information on the loot value via a scan, the loot sometimes exceeds what the bounds are set as (via LLL) even without factoring in outside loot like bee nests. For example:
In the first line Experimentation has a sane value wherein it has a min bound of 80 and a max bound of 450, and the scanned loot came up with 364, or about 77% of the bound. However, Assurance came up with 426 (after subtracting bees nests) with a bound of 100 to 250, so it's currently at 217% of the bound which shouldn't be possible

the custom scrap there is insane
for example: here's an emerald (better and lighter than a gold bar)
because of this, it's basically impossible to configure ganimedes to be an earlier moon
it has to be late game/post game, nothing else
oh btw that 10000 max value won't actually be reached, max value is closer to 4500ish

afaik the max and min scrap value fields don't do anything. It's all min max scrap amount and the loot rarities that determine your average loot value.
I'm balancing my pack rn using LQ and wrote a wacky python script to figure stuff like that out.
It outputs something like this
The total rarity of all scrap items in 84 Junic: 3004
The total rarity of all scrap items in 84 Junic after recalculation: 3004
The average value of all scrap items in 84 Junic: 100
The average total scrap value in 84 Junic: 419
(the second last line doesn't apply the global 0.4 value multiplier, the last one does. so the average scrap item value is 40 here)
So far this seems quite accurate. Stuff like apparatus and bee hives come on top of course.

Funnily enough I just recently added a configuration setting to https://thunderstore.io/c/lethal-company/p/pacoito/StoreRotationConfig to change terminal scroll amount depending on the number of lines in the current terminal page, since having too many items in the store rotation also causes scrolling to skip over several lines. You could try using that for now until something similar is added to one of the main tweak mods, though make sure to set minItems and maxItems to 4 and 5 if you want the vanilla store rotation.
Also requires downgrading to CSync v3, but if you have another mod that requires the latest version I can upload a pre-release on Github with compatibility for it.

ive tried. ive found a lot of the items and audio logs. im a pretty literal person, though, but i really love the added lore stuff! makes it way more fun
the cosmocos audio files where the woman helps the brain, then the people (scientists?) try and stop or relocate the brain for studying and the brain kills them all? the implication that brackens exist to protect the brain cus the audo file mentions the "shadow figures" (or something like that) ive also been too scared to hit the brain with the shovel cus im worried itll kill me lol
the knife logs where they went crazy and just killed people and themselves for sacrifice(i play mostly duo, so ive sadly not been able to sacrifice 2 people like the note suggests in the circle by the fire exit) but i have seen the cool cutscene with the golden faces as well as found the golden mask and the mask sheet log
fission lore implying that the jester is a guy that was killed by getting thrown into nuclear waste by their buddy. i read all the notes from the dude killing his friend. i forgot his name, though (the jesters name)
in gloom i found the notes talking about all the brackens outside and how they are watching, cool af. slenderman vibes. i wonder if there's code for brackens on that map to always go aggro after 6? neither me or my gf were looking at the bracken and he aggroed us super hard outside. even running away he chased us down a few different times... maybe it's just in my head tho

im also not the biggest fan of the jesters spawning extremely early on fission. even if the lore aspect is cool, it can completely ruin the run after spending a lot of credits to get there.
more positively i love how the nuclear waste slowly rises on the map and forces u to go right and "parkour" a bit
same with etern with the nutcrackers. makes me not super excited to go there. maybe its cus i play only 2 players, but its brutal
oh and the "unsent letter"... i was not keeping track of the employee numbers, but i wouldn't be surprised if the employee number that wrote that letter comes up again
