But I don't think that's a bad thing specifically because the one path and scenery is so good looking
My first time loading into the moon though I LOVED the white mask pictures/decors
and because the enemies are confined there's always interesting gameplay, like "Okay there's a dog, how do I get around it, FUCK, there's a Masked coming down the bridge, gotta hurry or I'm screwed"
I also loved landing on the planet when Eclipsed and buying items

Getting those items is like pulling an eyeless dog's tooth
the masked don't even become the problem anymore the dogs just wipe em out for ya
i shouldnt enjoy filling these out as much as i do but Zamn its fun
Mostly! I also like Orion having a good balanced feel for a 750 map, feeling slightly harder than Titan but without the landmine/turret spam, and the fact that every enemy outside can coincide at once while the map gives you plenty of cover/terrain obstacles to avoid said enemies

It's also one of the only moons that actually uses sandworms, since most people hate them, and I actually kinda like sandworms, except when they trigger at 0.33 seconds, but otherwise they're honestly a relatively fair enemy (fun fact: at 0 weight, you walk slightly faster than them)

That said, sandworms can be frustrating when you're trying to get scrap back late at night, but that feels fair on a 750 cost map, there needs to be difficulty to it

As far as post-Titan moons goes:
Orion has basically every threat, making it different how you get back every time
Auralis has so many giants that bobbing and weaving through the forest is a MUST if you want to make it back
Devastation I haven't played too much so I honestly can't give feedback on it too thoroughly, it feels like an easier Kast
and Kast feels like the type of moon where you go in and everything is fine, and then suddenly everything hits 100 at the same time and you need to leave

I would use scarlet mansion, but im always afraid of the longer loading times it has

I'm hesitant on cave/mine/etc interiors because they just feel... odd? LIke they don't feel like a place you're gonna find manmade scrap, unless they make it very clear in the design that they're company-made mines or something
Bunker is a good example of how caves can be done right, as it has chunks of cave on the inside but it still mostly feels like an occupied bunker

the mines themselves being like the equivalent of the hallways rooms in facility
Infernis is nice in that it works with quite a few interiors though

mental hospital is a dungeon mod that needs some serious optimization

i think your best bet would be to set the bunker and hospital both to 9999. they'll be equal to each other and pretty much negate the other natural spawns

had the average gratar experience.
a boomba that i was just on the edge of, three inventories of things to carry back to the ship because my friend died to the boomba, a shy guy being perfectly positioned for getting the things out of the facility to be hell, a baboon hawk jumping out of the bushes and putting me to 20 health before i jumped down a ledge, an eyeless dog jumping out of the bushes and fighting the hawk, and me recovering almost all of the items, all while it was almost midnight
also, do the announcements on gratar actually mean anything

ALSO ALSO, the default dungeon size for mental hospital is shmicking EIGHT!!! That’s 4 times as big as Titans dungeon size, the fact that there weren’t any lag spikes seriously surprised me
I remember the first time I loaded in with it was on experimentation -I spent the entire day trying to find scrap, and only found a dust pan and the fire exit

Not an issue I've had, AdvancedCompany adds those for when things break, are you using LLL?

Do you have any of LLL's config settings changed? If so, currently LLL + LECore has some issues with the config in my experience

I solved mine, it came from Herobrines dependant mod that adds a nav mesh to the company building. Somehow messed up all the nav meshes and made the enemies show up in different places to the host and clients.

I'd love some other ones too if there was some sync between the players, specially in Asteroid. It feels a bit silly to have such a huge feature to be local. I don't know anything about networking than it's not fun and creates even more problems, but I'd rather have the Asteroid lights linked to the facility power. That way taking the Apparatus makes it even more interesting. Or just turning on the breaker box. 🫣
Also Infernis music is really loud when going indoors at the start of the map, my friend keeps mentioning it 😆😅

'Flooding' the place into lava could be doable though. Very vertical, mountainous moon, lava layer at death pit, and the entire moon slowly sinking down into the lava to mimic the lava 'rising' 🤔

decided to remove LLL and try again, now it seems to be working

That kind of error wouldn't necessarily spam the log, it'd probably be one big red exception if it logged something.
But it sounds like that player is either running a different modpack or has one of the config files set up differently
That error there is 99% the culprit (I don't like saying 100%, but it probably is)

If multiple things are injecting extra scrap to a planet I suppose there could be a bad interaction causing a cascading effect

Masa uses Dine for Mansion maps ngl, so Rend can shine as the snowy bunker map
Flooding on march cuts off 2 fire exits. On vow it ruins the only one. Flooding forces your team to spend about 35% less time on the planet to safely extract loot

However these weather modifiers really are too much. On LU I had stormy at 1.35x scrap amount and 1x value.

Hey @granite lily I really love all of your moons but Polarus still just crashes my game after a minute or so of loading even if it and its dependencies are the only mods. Have you figured out the "RuntimeNavMeshBuilder: Source mesh does not allow read access" error that gets spammed? I'm not positive but I think it's as simple as a checkbox in Unity

i had that error too but i managed to fix it by simply restarting the game 💀
i found out that changing scrap amount/value and even spawn weights using AC caused that error and you get stuck after pulling the lever on Etern

when restarting the game it usually worked for one single round, and then we got stuck again

k just did some testing with only AC and Etern installed, i found a couple reasons why it happened, but kept testing until i boiled it down to "i dont know" 🫠
even without changing any spawn weights or anything, i still got the error. i did notice though, when Etern was not showing up on the Moons tab it loaded, after it showed up, i got stuck
so yeah no idea what causes it 🫠

@magic zinc I think i found an actual solution now, giving a value other than 0 actually you dont really need to have it be something other than 0, it can be 0 but you do need to check the box, doesnt matter if the value is 0, the box needs to be checked for ALL vanilla scraps
not all of them, some had 2 or 6 so i didnt changed it, but checking every scrap that had a value of 0 fixed it, even if the value stayed at 0
If you were to create a new preset, so it's not the 3 default ones - do the rarity values shift (in the freshly made preset)?
just tested it with all ImmersiveScraps scraps at 0, it still loaded
it only happens with vanilla scraps for some reason
some custom moons outright disable all vanilla scraps

sometimes that "corrupts" the save file and does that Infinite Load at Seed thing

Considering you joined recently you don't know the pain that LethalExpansion has caused back in the days xD When LLL was first anounced everyone was hyped since there finally was a way to move away from lethalexpansion
Luckily theres lethalexpansioncore atm which fixes a lot of these bugs already, but LLL is gonna be the future imo since it has a very active (and out of these 3 mods the only) active dev
well i know that some of the versions between 1.7 and 1.16 were not working well
they were still working yet buggy, yeah. But it still has a very active dev which is why things got fixed pretty quickly

that was a basegame issue (really a lack of a feature) that LLL fixes in 1.1.0
Basegame every client selected what dungeon to load, with the assumption that every client had the same odds. LLL changes it so only the host picks

currently there's an issue with LE moons displaying 0 in the list, but they'll show the correct cost when trying to go there

I agree with this. The outside enemies are way too hard on Infernis for it to be hazard level A.
Had multiple occasions where I had a forest keeper or eyeless dog spawn near the ship before it is even 12 pm there. The earliest I noticed an Eyeless Dog spawning on Infernis exterior was at around 9.30 am during one of my runs.
That was not on eclipsed btw, just a regular clear weather.
literally < 3 hours ago I was in a session with a friend. I made a solid modpack, and we're pretty kitted (AC perks pretty upgraded, rocket boots, a tactical helmet, etc). I got an early-vote happening at like <4 PM. Turns out, he was going up from the fire exit ramp - and was snatched by a forest keeper who was spawning in on the left side of the ship

Yeah the outdoor enemy spawning in this game needs some rework IMO, they shouldn't be able to materialize out of thin air and just nab a player like that.

Maybe make outdoor enemies spawn at a certain minimum distance away from players or create a sort of cooldown period where it can't immediately attack after it spawns.

While on the topic of the modded moons, I would like to share some of my personal thoughts on some of them that I've played on.
As a disclaimer, I most often play the game solo, so usually my strat is just quick looting and bailing early.
Infernis - Mostly what I've said above, the outdoors seem way too hostile from my experience and spawns way too early, for a moon with enough environmental hazards already (the lava pits). I do love the aesthetics and look of the moon though, and the volcano eruption by the end of the day is just an excellent touch.
Atlantica - Currently my favourite out of the moons I've played, love the way that part of the environment actually sinks over time and the aquatic themed scraps found here.
There's a bit of an issue though with the sinking main entrance area, I found if I left some scraps by the entrance door outside and it gets late in the day, the scraps will remain at the same y position and not "sink" along with the platform. This makes the scrap "float" upwards while the main entrance exterior moves downward in the afternoon time.
Polarus - This moon loads so slow for me, often takes minutes just to land here. As such, I haven't experienced this moon as thoroughly as I'd want to. I really hope future updates to this moon can shorten the load time.
Gratar - I'd say this is my second favourite moon out of the four. I guess I like it because the outdoor is much more friendlier here. The trek back to the ship is also very easy once I got used to it here. I'm perfectly fine with this being more of an intermediate level difficulty moon (despite the supposed hazard level), it's much more solo friendly that way to me.
Overall I love the moons designed here, they add so much above the vanilla game IMO. The vanilla paid moons (Rend, Dine, Titan) I'm honestly not too big a fan of, mostly due to the exterior being in a constant blizzard, which severely hinders vision.
I like these modded moons since they offer new exteriors to explore, without the hindrance of that constant blizzard.

Hey, great moons! me and my crew loves them! but we have noticed a bug and would like to know if its a Mod conflict or an issue that you are working on fixing.
So on every moon any creature that is meant to spawn inside the facility but you set to spawn outside always makes a beeline straight to a point the right side of the ship and becomes passive.
Update the modpack.. collection?, my stupid ass forgot to add a dependency (also fixed a thing or two)
