Found a bug, in the modded map scarlet mansion he does not move, spawns and just stands there menacingly, will try other modded map and tell you if it doesn't work too

If I'm taking a guess it's was supposed to stick on the ceiling for his hiding phase but instead the raycast hit the inside of the wall somehow and was "hiding" in there

And once you download the config open the settings on your profile in your mod manager open browse profile folder go into BepinEx and put it in the config folder

Idea: add a roaring/screaming animaation when the fiend attacks and with sounds also
So far one of best moments I've had with a friend is
The fiend is stuck in a completely locked fake app room so we were making fun of him, ||after like a min of him chillen and moved once, he started to walk to the door, busting it down then killing my friend as I ran away||

Yeah so I might suggest you to do this instead if you want:
There's a ingame script for AIs to detect collisions with players called EnemyAICollisionDetect
- Simply attach it to the gameobject that contains the collider.
- Put the mainscript your actual AI script.
This script calls a method inside the EnemyAI called OnCollideWithPlayer()
- Simply override it with your own while calling the base one by doing this:

I wouldn't do that but I don't want to make you recode the entire thing. Instead destroy the audio source when it's done playing.
Simply do:

Destroy(val5, audioClips[3].length)
The second argument of Destroy is the delay before destroying the audio source. Simply set it to the audio clip length AKA time.
Creating lot of audio source will lead to audio issues and people will blame and scream at you that audio breaks lol.... I did that mistake.
Also you should use the game Mixer! The SFX mixer track to be precise since it's the most fitting one.
But the best practice for the audio would be to to create the audio source when the fiend spawns On the Awake method for example and just calling playoneshot all the time on it intead of creating new audio sources constantly

My solution was to use the same method of that script that detects player collisions. I simply made my own.
This is my door detection script (Which you can feel free to reuse):

You can but that is very unoptimized. How I did it was simply shrink the collider size, add rigid body then applying force which I set it to be the forward of the enemy.
Also don't forget to remove the NavMeshObstacle so the AI don't see it as an obstacle still.

ServerRPC:
This one is a method for the Client. It's a method actually reserved for clients, but the host can use it since he's technically a client too.
Calling this method actually just send's the call to the host. So it goes like: Client -> Host
ClientRPC:
This one is a method for the host. When the host calls this, it sends that call to ALL client by default, (But you can change that with parameters). So it goes like: Host -> All Clients
For example:
You are the host and call a ServerRPC which contains a ClientRPC, the calls will go like this: Client (Yourself that call the ServerRPC) -> Host(Still yourself receiving your own call) -> ALL clients (Including yourself)
If you weren't the host it'll go like this: Client (Yourself that call the ServerRPC) -> Host(Not you this time so you are not calling the ClientRPC)
Then you'd receive the ClientRPC call that the host called!

@indigo garden Hey, i come back to you after investigation about my issue with the flashlight mechanic, the problem is it doesn't work with the reserved slot mod, when the flashlight is in your shoulder it doesn't blind the fiend, you have to have it on your hand to blind him

if you point a pro flashlight into the fiends eyes it gets blinded and stunned for a brief time

biggest most obv rn is that if you use the config to override a moon then all the interior enemies spawn on the surface, sometimes you can't route to a moon and it will keep thinking it is another even when you type the full name out, a lot of modded moons are free

But yeah enemy spawns still werid but inside only, routing to moons go awol and cost for modded moons is still 0. Generation going kinda wild on the occasion too, which actually was fun a little bit at first but soon become.. a nusience >.<

don't really know how to see default mob spawn rates
because its chances to get it, not garanteed
lets say you go the percentage
and fiend represent 10 %
if you throw a dice of 100
and it goes into 1 of those 10% allocated to the fiend, the fiend will spawn
all this is random and those virtual dices are thrown during the game to select which monster will spawn
if you want gim to spawn more just increase the number, the dice will have more chances to get him

a good way to test would be going into the config, setting its spawn weight to 9999 then going anywhere it can spawn

and I see Fiend has 0 rarity on every single map
may be the issue why it doesnt spawn?
similar other mobs that i didnt see very often have 0 too
only Shy Guy I saw him once or twice but he had 0 too

this lad has consistently gone sicko on us with a big group where 2 - 3 people will encounter him and he will fly through killing everyone present with next to no delay between victims
The Fiend is pretty cool but i think having him as a generic chase monster defeats the purpose of him lore wise, since in his game you only die to him when you gaslight yourself into believing he is real.
Maybe have him be a docile invisible entity that only materializes when he is pinged. If he is pinged a second time he kills the person who pinged him. Be a unique monster that counters spam pingers

Support for Ship Window mod so u have a chance a small chance of Seeing the fiend looking at u By the window but first some knocking sounds from the window the first time u might not see him on the first knock he knocks like 2-4 times Randomly the first time u hear the knocking u have a low chance of Seeing him and the second time u have a little higher chance of Seeing him, there can be like 1-5 knocks its randomly but its not 100% that u will Allways see him then when u finally see him u see his head tilted and he does some jumpscare and maybe attacks? He has a low chance of Seeing HIM when its bright outside but when its darker it has a higher chance
