so if i want to turn the 4 top left monitors into 1 big monitor all i gotta do is give them all the same value and the mod will handle it for me from there

to me the definition of QoL seems quite opinionated, a lot of QoL mods do things by default that don't make sense to me
Haha. So far, most of the things I've added are either stuff I noticed I wanted myself, suggestions from my friends I play with, or stuff from other mods that I just didn't like the code of 🤣
I suppose there's an argument for loading times if you're running that many QoL mods, but my packs tend to be fairly small

About the health HUD
Can I change it somehow and make it more beautiful?
Can you add a pulse animation?
Or something similar to make it more visually pleasing to watch
With critical damage, the pulse goes off scale, the vanilla mechanics are such that an endless sprint is given - until health is restored to 20%
And you need to add a color - green or orange when health is 100 or higher (for mods that increase the health limit, for example Late_Upgrade)

Or here’s an example: the lower your health, the color changes from orange to yellow - then red and bright red (you can figure it out yourself, if it’s relevant)

They have a separate value there that says enable the internal camera for the monitor

Does the health kit in the ship work when you have more than 100 HP? LGU has the upgrade called stimpack which allows you to have more than 100 HP so I'm wondering if it will work for that.

because i saw the zoom button and asked if they could make door buttons too onto the monitor
so that we dont have to use that floating door button copy mod in front of the ship

I fixed a bug where my asset bundle would not be loaded and it will be in the next version. However, that doesn't seem related to your error spam with TooManySuits. I tested my fix with your profile code and it loaded the monitors, but you still have the error spam. That tends to happen when you have 150 mods 🙂

I don't know if it's related to you either, but twice today, no logs or errors when looking, after we were in "Space" some people were dead, i.e, me, it was waiting for the ship to "land" in orbit and had to restart lobby to fix it

I have seen that it's pretty easy to freeze the game (I've seen other mods do it and I've caught myself doing it) after the round ends, if anything goes wrong it just doesn't advance a day

It should, it's just an overlay on the item slots, it goes by index and attaches itself to wherever that slot is
I'm only enabling it if the item is currently being targeted by lightning though 🤔

Zaggy actually fixed that one in my code with a PR, I only briefly glanced at the change but I believe it had something to do with different scripts keeping track of different players. I'm not sure about the freezing, but I believe it at least fixed radar boosters not being cycled in some cases

unity ui is designed around canvases, canvas scalers, and anchors
16:9 is by far the majority aspect ratio so most elements are probably designed to look correct there
but unless you're manually calibrating your anchors and testing them out at other aspect ratios
it might look weird outside of 16:9

if you have a decomp with the UI hierarchy, you can try parenting your HP display to different objects, change the anchors, etc.
my guess is that the easiest way to get consistent results would be to make it a child of the "scavenger outline" and then just scoot it to the left however much you need to make it look good

Hey there, ever since the latest update nothing seems to be getting the monitors to work properly.
Its gone from the way I set it up, which was this
back to being vanilla, with only the quota, deadline, and the outside cam
This is happening when I start a brand new save file too

Hey not sure if youre still looking into this but same thing is happening to me after i went from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 and also 1.1.5. Additionally if I create a new save it just spits out a ton of TooManySuit errors

I was able to reproduce the bug on a custom moon called "Abandoned Manor"
After which I landed, died inside the complex - the ship flew away and the screen disappeared
When landing again on the same moon, the monitor screens did not turn on

CleanerLogs and LessLogs in their default configuration should be enough for most.
I found a fix for this.
So apparently this was being caused by the fact that by default in <= 1.1.7 the entire PlayerHUDHelmetModel was disabled (which includes "Plane"). Still have absolutely 0 clue as to why having this disabled would cause the radar camera to cause that artifact, and also only on the left eye. Moving the "Plane" one component up in the tree and keeping that enabled fixes the issue, while still keeping the first person helmet model disabled (now via config instead of forced).
Again no clue why this was an issue in the first place, especially since the plane material (at least what I inferred from the name) was only for applying effects like raindrops on the visor, and had 0 to do with rendering. But then again, Unity and modding rookie here, so it probably has a good explanation.
oh, if you're moving it up the tree I hope you do it as late as possible, that might break OpenBodyCams trying to get the material
also, I did observe similarly weird behavior with that plane, in some inexplicable situations deactivating it in UnityExplorer did nothing (and yet it did stay deactivated)
it does the same thing when attached to the body cam as well, it's like the material sticks to the camera lol
if I make the body cam render to the screen it starts updating based on the visibility of the plane again
and yeah, the plane's material name of "GlassCondensation" doesn't seem totally accurate, but thankfully I didn't see that before I figured out what it did
also, @raw lichen since it will affect the occlusion culling when I finally get that ready for release, does VR use two Camera instances for the two eyes, or is there some stereoscopic mode to the camera that I'll need to account for somehow?
I don't touch the cameras (except for order in object hierarchy), but I believe Unity just has special sauce for XR MultiPass mode.

By default it renders two eyes as SPI is incredibly unsupported, and the view on the monitor screen is the left eye
If that's how Unity does render then probably maybe, at least in Nvidia Nsight all the calls were doubled (from 26K base game to 52K with VR mod)

Setting mode to SPI just completely messes up rendering. Right eye stops rendering, when in game the entire rendered view is projected onto one eye at the headsets FOV (looks very lovely jubly)
But if it for some reason is possible, it should make the performance sooo much better

Hello, I believe General Improvements affects FPS, I disabled all of my mods except General Improvements to check if it was one of the reasons why I have been getting less FPS than usual. This could be an issue on my end maybe my device but yeah. Please correct me if I am wrong in what I say.
I love the mod, but I believed I should let you know,
the monitor stuff seems to cause framerate issues for some
i'd suggest changing as much of the monitor settings as you can to their defaults
outside of that im not totally sure what else eats up performance
When you install the mod fresh is the monitor settings all default/vanilla?
i would set both of the FPS limit settings to "0" as well - uncapped framerate can actually perform better than setting the FPS to a low value
depending on when you installed the mod
i think if you install it now, everything is vanilla by default

Ok so FPS seems to be an issue for some people and to be honest I'm not sure why yet. The problem started around the same time I added monitors, so a couple updates ago I stopped calling any of the monitor code if they use default settings in [Extra Monitors]. But that doesn't seem to fix it much.
I can't think of what else would even be causing it, I'm not using any heavy Update() calls that I know of. I'll keep searching for the cause.
For me, if I land on a moon, in one example I get an average of 70 fps without my mod, and maybe 65 fps with it (with default monitor settings) so I'm having trouble even diagnosing it.

@broken crescent the internal cam went weird. i didnt do anything except delete ModelReplacementAPI on my mod list and now i cant see my model in the cams
i have the same but it only sees modelreplacementapi outfits and not normal ones
funny. with the ModelReplacementAPI downloaded. it works. tho i dont have any suits that needs ModelReplacementAPI. ill just keep it like a fix
