FPS is improved from the last version
i lose about 10 FPS in the ship with better monitors turned on facing towards the monitors
40-50 FPS outside
before this my FPS was cut in half (75-85)
Deleting corporate restructure improved my fps by 60 💀
never used that Corporate Restructure
It was used by everyone before the GI monitors feature

i only used the body cams one
which isnt compatible with Advanced company because if you do. the body cams will not run smoothly. it would be like a delayed old school camera.

You can't modify where the internal cam shows unless you have UseBetterMonitors, since the structure of the monitors mesh is different. If you don't put anything in position 7, you should see it. Although I'm not sure why it's not in your screenshot - perhaps another mod is turning it off
I wanted to try to use the left big extra monitor for ship internal cam but it doesn't seem to wanter render player models with Advanced Company's MoreCompany cosmetics replacement -- I just get floating cosmetics.
I forget if that mod is doing anything to the internal cam, I don't think it is but I could be wrong
Bodycams automatically replaces the internal camera I believe unless you specify in that config which GeneralImprovements monitor to use.
@broken crescent Couple more small bugs:
- Quota scan node seems to be locked to the default position again.
- Center align monitor text doesn't seem to work on your text (it's always centered), but strangely enough it works on CR's monitor text if that mod is enabled.
- Migration only worked partially for me (monitors 1 and 2 migrated successfully with all of them enabled, the rest were blank)
is there any option in this mod I can change to prevent the 40-50 FPS drops outside? i don't personally mind it but i have a friend that struggles with FPS
update: i disabled UseBetterMonitors, which brought it from 40-50 to 10 fps drops outside

would love door buttons on the new 3rd big monitor like the buttons on the radar one for the players
for opening and closing the doors while in front of the big screen

@broken crescent was the behavior of the ship on scrap changed? it use to update when I dropped loot on the ship. now it only updates when I take off.

and the Door buttons on the new big monitor would be a nice addition to replace that floating door buttons

My best guess is it's related to the inventory management stuff being enabled, that can cause desyncs if the host doesn't have it enabled as well. It could also be a mod conflict

Ok, I haven't seen either of those things in my mod yet but there may be something in the logs
WIth r2modman you can just click Browse profile folder and it's usually titled LogOutput.txt or something after a session
Ok, other than finding a problem with my migration code (thanks for that lol), I don't see any log entries from my mod. If you have PickupInOrder, RearrangeOnDrop, and TwoHandedInSlotOne all set to false, and that still happens, I can almost guarantee it's from another mod

and enabling BetterMonitors, the option for changing the camera via the button doesn't want to work because of some weird overlap when standing in front of the screen, however if you crouch in front of it, the switch camera button, you're able to

Edit: On this, you can't even use the touch screen mod because it's as if the screen is that is the "touch screen" is in the middle of the 2 monitors on the left side

After update to recent version from 1.1.0, my framerate drop like 15% when outside the ship
its seems like the same problem that openbodycam has experienced before, but now it's fixed

Btw by default when u added GeneralImprovements there is a new config made on "OpenBodyCams" which set the Camera to "0" instead of "14"

I know you're still in bugfixing mode and that should definitely take priority, but I just wanna make this suggestion for later before I forget about it 😄
Suggestion: Allow the config entries for the monitors to hold multiple values that will automatically be toggled through. Example screenshot below.
The rate of toggling could be done via a separate config entry to control all of them, or each type in an entry could be followed up by an integer to determine how long it stays on screen, similar to how custom interior mods handle which moons they have a chance to spawn on.

When bettermonitors=true crosshair is working again
So it's only when happening when not using bettermonitors var, could some text alignment cause it not to be on screen seeing there's no error or anything?

Oh yeah, those are there but they don't show in LethalConfig for some reason.
You can see them if you edit the config manually or through the mod manager

Nah, I don't use it but a lot of players in random lobbies do so I can't join like half of the servers with GI installed
If you have any host required settings on (such as the medkit) then it will fail when you try to join someone who does NOT because it tries to sync network prefab objects

@vapid shell there's a difference in those screenshots - one of you has the backgrounds completely disabled (which only works if UseBetterMonitors = False), and the other one has the color set.
If the backgrounds are disabled, the color will not affect anything

the framerate caps do cause fps loss for framerates above 30 from my experience

I found leaving it unrestricted is better performance.
unless you have the fps limit down in the range of 1-20 I would say that it's likely you'll see reduced performance
When it's unrestricted I don't get big drops in FPS when looking at cams
also @broken crescent I realized that I don't know if anyone including me explained (my theory for) why the fps limit causes reduced performance: Camera.Render() has to render immediately to render based on what is enabled/disabled/in layers/allowed to render at the moment it is called, so that means it has to set up and tear down the render pipeline twice in a frame
not sure if the 5fps default you ship with consistently provides improved performance considering that you may be applying that overhead multiple times per frame where they render

Upd. Swapped monitors 3 more times. Appears to be my PC random fps drop. Nothing caused by the mod

the monitor shows how much you pay in percentage, not how big the sale is. for example, the monitor says 80% sale, but the in game store says 20% sale.

This is one of the points I was gonna say. I'd rather user control/customisability over not having it 😛 I think this is a common process for most users too.
So I will stick do Hide Chat and Hide Names for now. No point having a mod that does 4 things when I only need the 1 interaction and potentially have arguments in console 😛

Nah it's just when older mods don't get upkept (although there's really not much reason to if the game itself doesn't change anything) but it's nice to have consolidation and that option of customisability. If other mod makers don't mind it anyway 😛

having an issue, monitor 3 is supposed to be credits, 7 is time and 8 is sales but they keep showing up as profit quota no matter what i switch around also the internal cam stays under monitor 7

I had it at what the mod set it to and issues were high
I moved it to 2.0 and they lowered
I'm gonna set it to 3.0 (vanilla) and see if it ceases all together
I know the inventory is a very temperamental thing

as far as im aware, fast switching too fast and spam dropping too fast either makes item disappear or just plain get bugged or desync in general
had someone fast switched while charging a flashlight and he ended up charging a scrap and it blacked screened him
to follow up, sales monitor works just fine, including cycling through several objects, outside of the sale values being reversed. just in case you wanted confirmation

@broken crescent i had a bug just now where my hotbar got stuck. i had 2 pro flashlights in slot 1 and 2. i threw the flashlight that was in slot 2 and the hotbar got stuck, i couldn't scroll or interact with anything

just be careful if you download mirage 💀 make sure you either enable everything (the mod itself and its dependencies) or disable everything. don't leave half enabled and half disabled by mistake
yeah with the latest update. it wasn't like that before. that's why i had its dependencies enabled but the mod disabled. because i had the mod disabled prior to updating. when i updated, the dependencies were downloaded and enabled and i didn't know
Similar thing may have been mentioned before, but the DoorPower value seems completely broken. Without UseBetterMonitors it just shows the Profit Quota, with UseBetterMonitors it's just a white screen (tested with only GI, LCBetterSaves and LethalConfig installed)

Their code is using custom RPCs that update the credits. I don't really have a way to hook into events of every mod that modifies credits.
The best thing I could do is just change the credits update to refresh constantly I suppose (or like a few times a second, I don't love frame by frame checks)

but then you get into "what if i dont want a specific monster to spawn on every moon" and then you need to add an individual setting for every monster and it's much better to just make that into its own thing. which, it is
For now I think I have to agree with not adding that as a QoL. Monster spawning is its own big category of complex game mechanics, and it wouldn't do it justice to just say "they all spawn everywhere" because they have percentages per moon, among other things.

Might colerate to the bug that people having when not using BetterMontiors=true as well? Cause when it's updated it does it twice.

It's because in some cases, I check whether we should update screens if the value is different, so in the case of door power, the first screen gets created, and it remembers the value.
Then the 2nd screen gets created and tries to render but it's like "naw dog we already updated with that value" and skips it
I'm not sure why that would matter with certain other mods though - that may be a separate issue

side note @broken crescent , TerminalPatch.Instance.terminalUIScreen.enabled should be isActiveAndEnabled instead, just enabled caused the map renderer to always stay on in OpenBodyCams

currently LCVR has a bug where fog rendering is broken whenever the radar is active
if this is the case then changing that will probably fix it
as in you can see abnormally far on maps like dine or rend?
that is very bizarre if so, that fog is supposed to be rendered in a plane attached to the player's camera
fog does not render at all in the left eye while the radar is active, which is usually only while you're on the ship
huh, can't think of a reason why rendering the map would do that, but sounds like a bug in LCVR really
the fog shader isn't only active outside, so it should be made to work in the ship
it's a very negligible difference when you're inside though
it breaks everything that uses volumetrics including inside lights

also, for reference, here's the difference I see in the ship when removing that shader plane:
the volumetrics don't totally go away, but they are way less visible
i think that may be what's happening
volumetrics don't completely go away but they are significantly less visible in the left eye

that plane has issues even in vanilla
when you can see through the fog on rend, dine or titan while spectating, that's because the camera clips past the plane
at least pretty sure that's the cause
but I have no idea why the radar map rendering would cause that to disappear, it doesn't interact with that at all

after a cursory glance I don't see anything related to that shader plane, so it might be worth mentioning to the LCVR devs if you know how to contact them
what I like to do to test that it's not clipping the wrong way is set the material of that plane to a solid color so that if any part isn't covering the camera it's obvious
the size, position and rotation on the main camera in the game is pretty arbitrary from what I could tell
if they adjust that to line up with the second camera it might become more consistent
i have mentioned it but all i got was pretty much "i'll let him know" and nothing further. so either he forgot or just hasn't had the time
