Agreeing here though I like it from a sound design perspective, not so much gameplay if that makes sense? I think it sounds a lot better than the vanilla sound in terms of bringing "depth" to the environment, but with how often you are required to "use" scan, if the sound is too harsh/high pitched on the ears it'll get pretty grating while playing with it when you're hearing it play every 5 seconds for a session.

I think it's better, though is a bit longer than a scan sound effect needs to be and might blend into the ambience. The vanilla scan hits a really good middle ground despite the fact that it really is just an incredibly basic beeping sound where it's both distinct from every other sound in the game to know it's scanning while being short/basic and quiet enough that you really doesn't disrupt the soundscape of everything else going on.

SoftScan is def the best of them so far, it's kinda hard for me to tell without playing with it cause of how lethal handles audio but I think it'd be good, yea
