BUT
it wont be configured correctly if you get core
so they're basically the same thing?
the one titled LETHAL RESONANCE MELTDOWN has core as a dependancy and includes the configs needed so it works correctly
(It turns off facility meltdown normal alarms, increases alarm volume to proper levels, and prevents the sound from playing outside)
otherwise they just stack sounds and that doesnt sound as good
also the sound is slightly different than in that video now

Yessir, It's a dependency for the mod to work. I needed something to play the music on the take apparatus event and pizza tower has this ability so its a dependancy for that mod

For the lethal resonance meltdown music, I don’t really like the voice countdown towards the end, I feel just keeping the ticking noises gives enough tension, and imo the voice countdown drives it away

Its not what I dont like, the air raid sirens you have in that video you sent, is what really brings the fear to life, in the newest one, you dont really hear the air raids until the end. I will say though, the countdown for what you have now is mint.

well I figured in a real facility
the alarms would inform workers to put the apparatus BACK in
Wonder if it's possible to make the outside alarm different than the inside one, then in theory you have the normal alarm inside and the air raid sirens outside
once its been about 60 seconds and It seems that its actually going to blow is when the air raid sirens start going
This was something I was personally considering if I can figure the script out
i agree, at the 60 second mark thats when things start to go down
think of it like this, in real life, you wouldnt have the air raids going off to notifiy someone halfway to their impending doom. I remember playing Fall Out 4, at the very beginning of the game you had those air raid horns and that shit sent me

Well, i got that apparatus sound to loop (mainly wanted to see if i could do it), HOWEVER
I had to take some creative liberties (and dear god wtf)
honest opinion, it's too much bass and too little spring
since you literally get impaled with a spring, i feel like there needs to be some high pitched sound mixed in
was comparing with the vanilla game and it's too much to the other side, zero bass
but it does sound like your head just got ripped out and your blood gushed out everywhere for a second and then stopped
that "PSHHT" sound makes me see that, at least :V

there are two types
clipping can be 1 at the end of the clip and the sound doesnt taper off so it makes little click sounds

and when you're recording over what the mic can handle based on the sensitivity you set for the mic

For the Reactor Meltdown audio, I died inside the facility and when I respawned on the ship the music was sitll playing
uh
didnt check for how long but it felt like it wasnt going to end
I can do it again rn and see if it repeats
did it loop is more what im looking for
cause that would be extreme bad
otherwise its just annoying

I only just now added Meltdown, and added your fork with it, so I dont know what the previous sounds are for the meltdown, but you are doing a really good job with audio

its a little "surpressed"feeling

Ahh, was going dark and dingy, and put it through an invert, several clips, an auto heal, more clips, a phaser, a few click/pop filters, a multiband compressor, added a chorus, reverb, and mastering along with two runs through a 30 band equalizer
As I said, beautiful sound design, bass hits were there, the alarms weren't annoying, maybe design wise adding some steam hissing sounds here and there would be nice, and maybe an undertone of a radiation buzzing
