There should be an interior that's a foggy lake or maybe a foggy hedge maze.

Idk how it would work but if it could it could be really fun in a way other interiors aren't.

Imagine like an open semi wooded mostly open plane with lakes, rivers, and ponds where the main paths are still visible but you can only see like 30m in any direction except for the parts of the interior that would be "walls" which are solid fog. You can still go into them but you can barely see 6 body lengths in front of you, this solid fog is where the walls in an interior would be normally.

Rough idea but I think it has potential especially because it would an interior where you could "cut" through the "walls" but at your own risk because you can't really see anything in the outer bounds and could get killed easily by enemies you can't see.

#

But of course with a terminal guy and a trusty walkie talkie you could navigate through it safely get to an exit quick.

Also it would be atmospheric as hell which itself is a cool reason for making it.

Also for the outer bounds to not break immersion it probably should teleport you if you get to close to an edge without you noticing and put you at a different part of the outer bounds facing towards the main path of the interior.
