If I had to make a wild guess, it either spawns a clean arson in the same position with a roll for increased value, or it saves the original value roll the applies a multiplier for the difference in value of clean and dirty arson
although - there is an edge case I can think of right now

Fuck Aridion. I tried to like it because the idea of an ultra hard moon is cool, but it throws it's own concepts away by having the exits be so far and force you to be blind

@solid pivot Ive been adding formulas to Google sheets in order to figure out weights for items in certain planets. I think adding the ability in advanced company to have a tab for item replacements instead of just item weights and a tab for item model variation would be pretty cool.

Jokes aside, you can nullify flooded and worms on assurance by traversing using the rocks

March + Foggy = Worst combination. Yes, even including eclipsed on many other moons
now obviously this changes if you have a mod that makes it so all outside enemies can spawn on all planets
then Eclipse on experimentation is no laughing matter
Pretty much any weather event is infinitely worse on March than other basic moons.
Flooded is bs
you literally start with the water in the ship. When you land - it's in the ship
Flooded vow is the only one I can think of that can be worse than flooded march
Foggy vow is somewhat scary
but it helps knowing if you stick to a general direction from either leaving the ship, or leaving the facility - you should reach your destination
If the bridge falls and a giant camps the dam, you're pretty much screwed. Every other path, including fire exit, is unavailable on flooded vow
March Fog gets me everytime almost even though you just go straight 😛
that's the thing though, no place to march is a straight path. You always gotta either curve the main hole, curve into (or out of) a pit for a fire exit, or curve around a mountain
and that's what makes march foggy just the god damn worse of all. If you get turned around, spooked, jitter your mouse - anything
losing your sense of direction on march is the worst place to lose your positioning

IDK, I've always disliked the idea of reserved slots. Advanced company makes the slots feel balanced, reserved slots feels like more of a cheat

running flashless or walkieless is a learned skill, having a mod which removes the need to learn a skill, at least in other games, would classify as a "cheat mod". here it's straddling the line between that and QoL so I understand their use, but outright giving more slots with no downside is still iffy for some. AdvancedCompany solves this issue by not making the slots "free", by reducing default hand slots to 3 and giving you the choice or upgrading your hand slots to 4 with default starting XP

The way LC's early meta was designed was to operate with 1 terminal operator, 2 facility runners, and 1 person whose whole job was to grab easy loot from main then loot run and fill in for facility runners when needed. only terminal operator and at least 1 facility runner needed walkies, flashlights was one person at most for comfort as needed.
Biggest churn and burn with 8+ player group when most of our players are bad at the game, 80% of scrap profit goes to resupplying walkies, lights, etc. 😄
That's why the flash and walkie take up 2 slots: you weren't meant to run loot and use both
we know how we should play LC but we dont care tbh.
There's some that do take the game relatively seriously, and then there's some that run outside and make as much noise to rp as a matador with the dogs
we want to play it our way. i think there should be a cost to clipping a flash to your body
but its not sciences to ducktape a flash or walkie to your body tbh.
Loading should take longer if all join at the same time due to queue
then there's the person who attracts dogs to make a pile of deceased dogs.
Our operator is like this. his record in one run is 4 dog kills. he's certifiably insane
we just have a cat bait the dogs inside to kill most of our friends :D

Speaking of handsfree lights, the tactical helmet's light would be perfect to include as a cheaper head lamp, kinda light microstream streamlights you use to clip onto a hat brim. cheap, replaceable, convenient, but not very good for mobile tasks
Me using both on Ganimedes to get to the fire escapes easier and accidentally overshooting myself into the stratosphere

one thing i do love how the menus of advanced are.
At this point every emote mod has pushed an update that breaks my game at some point. the only one that hasn't caused the game to fully self destruct on my group is badass emotes. I've straight up fallen out of the ship during takeoff when trying to troll my friends with it, but that's more hilarious than gamebreaking. and as we all know, game QoL > content > emotes
They're pretty great for Generic Moons Vertigo too for that one shortest path

That's one of the least consistent items in my experience. I've been one tapped by a nutcracker while wearing the vest at full HP, without the vest taking a single point of damage

Yeah, i didn't realize how easy crouch cheese was at the time, I was abusing corners at that time and it clipped me once with the vest and I instantly died. After that I had a friend use control company combined with a revive mod so I could practice crouch cheesing. I mastered it on the second attempt. Honestly don't use the vest much anymore

Terminal is still usable, but the arms will look scuffed and will have no typing animation.
this the only emote mod that resets everything to it's place at the end of the animation there should be no scuff or arm in weird places
well, depending on the timing, they might have a point, there were a few days where there was a weird quirk between Advanced Company, More Emotes, and Lethal Emotes API stuff, where if they all existed, emotesapi broke the terminal as well, but I fixed that Sunday
so now even with More Emotes, emotesAPI shouldn't break the terminal
it is an API so you could also import it
it's not as simple as clicking an "import" button

I actually just realized something - I believe you don't use lethalutilities - I went on a whim and disabled it and it works as it should

Each enemy is given a “power” in the enemies config
The “max power” or whatever it’s called under moons dictates how many enemies can spawn.
E.g. if I have springs with 2 power set, and a moon with 4 max power, 2 springs can spawn
You can restrict what enemies spawn on a moon by changing their “rarity” value

I what I'm looking for is an option of max spawn cap. a coilhead is worth ex 1 power but I only want there to be a max of 1. In the vanilla game brackens already have this restriction to a cap of 1 max.
This is how the vanilla game works. Advanced company just lets you modify its behavior
But what I'm looking for is a way to modify the behavior to have just 1 coilhead spawn. Like how lethal quantity does it
You’ll have to either cap the level power really low, or make coil heads really expensive to spawn
If I make the coil head expensive to spawn then other stuff can't spawn which is not what I want. Low power cap has similar issue

i increased the max power multiplier and set it to 125 (%) and when I loaded the experimentation map which has power of 4 (so after the multiplier i should have 5) i had monsters (which also had modified power level) where their powers summed up to 9 idk why

Ok so, if you make coil heads expensive, e.g. 8, and you cap the levels power at like 15 or so, then only 1 coil head can spawn, but you leave 7 other points where the coil head can’t spawn and other things can
It’s not as user friendly as lethal quantity, and will require you to do some math to figure out what u want to spawn
In this case that causes an issue where if 8 points of stuff spawns then coilhead wouldn't be able to spawn. It's a workout that doesn't do what I want it to do. I want coilhead to not be affected or affect spawn caps
That’s how it works in the base game too, if too much other stuff spawns, than something more expensive won’t spawn
Also in the chance that coil head decides to not spawn it would end up being a S rank difficulty moon with such a high power cap
Bracken has a max limit of 1 with only a 3 power level
You can manipulate the rarity values too, if you set coil head to 90, and everything else so their rarity sums up to ten, the chance of atleast 1 coil head spawning is good
& chance of everything else spawning and blocking that is very low
It was just an example, u can set the numbers to whatever u want
It continues to run into different problems with the new example if I want something else to have a really high spawn chance then it competes with coilhead and then the chance of it being a really unnecessarily hard moon comes into play again
Which once again would be fixed if there was a cap of only x amount of a monster can spawn

Idk why it took me so long to think of this, but a temp solution to MaskedEnemyOverhaul cosmetics (and was running into an issue where if the original masked infects someone it becomes stuck puking) is just to remove the MoreCompany.dll and install MoreCompany. Obviously it'll be much better to not have to use MoreCompany, and there could be new issues this creates that I just haven't seen yet

Its really not that hard, the hardest part was reverse engineering HDRP to get the first code
The problem everyone is facing that Unity just dont add your post processing because its basically missing from unitiys weird "Those classes are allowed to add Post Processing"-List
actually that could be hella sick, like vision effects, cherenkov radiation in proximity to reactor when removed, or (likely most difficult to implement) radiation static on ship monitors
generally radiation effects on vision are rather tame from just short term exposure though (unless its extreme as hell): blurry eyes, glaucoma, eye bleeding, etc.
And before you ask: All Unity is doing with that list is "Contains" checking to check if it should apply the effects

by the way things are looking pretty good now, only errors i see is from the masked enemy overhaul, but i understand that author have to fix it

They are quite happy because there are many features, especially since they use perks quite a lot.
The audience also reacts positively when they know your mod can do many things, especially when the streamer comes out with a portable terminal they are immediately amazed "how can you use an ipad in games, and can be used for shopping too".

by the way i have to ask - is late-joining on the planet is stable now? for us it caused all kind of desyncs, from players not seeing each other to ship screen showing orbital information to everyone but host while someone joined

Said modder is Arthmoor, for those not in the know. He's hated by nearly every modder and mod user, but his mods are still somehow in nearly every mod list

I still remember the ancient modding wars of minecraft. Flowerchild, GregoriousT, and mDiyo. Shit went thermonuclear between them till they all claimed their corners of the internet to camp in. All of them were insufferable in their own right, but everyone else just ignored them. They never ignored each other, though and on one instance they added code bloat to insult each other by abusing in game chat whenever the world loaded, and in another I think they started adding crash code.

Eh, it has its moments. some of the most dedicated mod devs I've ever seen, that's for sure. I know of a mod that has been in development for about 13 years now

Hey folks, I have a quick question to ask, I apologise if this has been asked before, is this mod compatable with flipmod's various "reserved item slot" mods?
Define "compatible". Its not meant to play well together at all as they collide in philosophy.

but we have in ac a perk system that inscrese your inventory slots
AC has equipment slots for Communication and Light. So there is a philosophy collision
Truth be told, they can work, but there is very little reason to try to get it to a functioning state, and there's likely no guarantee it will continue to work
Having a "reserved slot" comes at a higher price in AC making it more balanced.

I get you but the benefit of the reserved slots is that the slots specifically reserved for the flashlight and the walkie, if I just had a 6 slot hotbar, when I rapidly drop my loot it'd drop those too. Due to the tweaks I've set up with hotbar plus
