Although I'm not sure if this mod will be updated, it would be awesome if a popped Jester could break doors like the Walker.
Isnt there a mod that does that?

Chaos hasn't updated us here in over a month so i think he's doing his own stuff atm. I don't think asking him over and over will change much, he will eventually update if he feels like it or maybe not if he just doesn't. The fact we are getting peak like Diversity for free is already something i am willing to wait for, regardless how long it takes.
I mean you say asking over and over but that hasn't been the case, this is the first time it's been brought up in a while since I feel like Spooky Month would be a great time to get what he's completed out since he did have the mod update pretty much finished but wanted to wait on someone who could maintain it before updating. I feel like pushing his fix update out for October makes sense

There's always gonna be people asking about the update but from what i noticed the talk about the update has been going on for months at this point, that's why i said that he's likely gonna do it whenever he feels ready.

Loading times can be fixed by disabling the Walker btw, it's cus of the Walker dimension

I landed on experimentation two times and couldn't find the dimension via the method i was trying to use, and i'd also like to note i didn't see any of the logging that would indicate the dungeon generating, which i know diversity logs a shitton when doing that
so yea, dimension seems to not generate with that turned off

Okay so I've got some news
Compiled my previous bug fixes on 73 and I can play with the mod on 73.
And someone volounteered to maintain this mod for me while I focus on making my game. Thanks to s1ckboy this mod will see more bug fixes in the future.

(the cutscene isnt part of lc cutscene its part of diversity)

Found an Interesting bug. It's kinda easy to reproduce.
It's related to the new Dimming flashlight.
It turns out that the flashlight saves the state of the light when you enter or leave the dungeon.
If you end up leaving just in the frame when the flickering light turns off completely the light and you leave, the flashlight will stop emiting any light. You can fix this getting close again from the bracken, resetting the flashlight flickering behavior.
You can reproduce this spawning a bracken and waiting until it gets close, when you see the flashlight flickering, just leave using the main entrance door, the state of the flashlight will acti weird after that.
No error logs btw.
I'll send a video in a bit about this issue
And yes, it happened to me normally on a match with a friend, the bracken was following me near the entrance, so the bug just happened normally
Disabling LCCutscene will stop Diversity to load entirely
Is it still happening with the terminal? If so send some logs so me or s1ckboy could look at it.
It was not confirmed, but the mod is still needed if you wanted to remove the floppy reader and disks
Hope you figure out why the Bracken Personal Space is broken, that has always been the problem child of this mod though. Also can we maybe have the options to disable the Dimensions for the Walker? I would like to have the Walker but be able to disable that dimension that spams the logs and slows down landing the ship, I dunno if it's the stairs or the Odd Door one that does it since it spawns 2 different dimensions tbh but iirc from some past convos I believe it was said to be the Odd Door one

The bracken grabs you and instead of killing you instantly, it takes you to another dimension

he will occasionally appear out of thin air to chase a specific player who has touched a tainted door, disapearing after a while, if he catches a player 3 times they are sent to his realm, where you may be able to escape but its very hard

From my understanding, Diversity creatures use their own enemy system and subsequently don't work with anything that autodetects registered beasts. Would think a native Diversity config for weights would be easier.

Add diversitynofloppy, turn off posters, shipcutscene and voicelines. But probably it only needs the diversitynofloppy
Loaded into experimentation and it started immediately, my only assumption is a walker must have been spawned inside somewhere, it doesnt seem to be replicated constantly, out of about 10-15 loads across a few moons, this only happened once. Wanna send the pdb? I plan to be out and about testing when i awaken

I did actually enable that to try it out but brackens and imperium hate eachother so i didnt get around to trying

The only issue I've found was this, and this is more of an untested feature rather than a direct bug
The Flashlight Dimming stuff was probably related to him trying to change it to fix clients getting errors and breaking if I had to guess, but tbh I just turned it off. The Bracken having the ability to flicker and turn off lights when near you works good enough lol

It's always been a feature of Diversity but since the Remaster update it's a toggleable feature
The issue I used to run into was the light always permanently dimming after the Bracken died before it was configurable lol

yup, that was an issue before the update.
I was able to test this new dimming like 6 months ago with this new flickering flashlight and it was fixed when the bracken dies
Here's the plan:
- I replicate the issues.
- I fix them.
- Add configs. (Yes for the odd door and its dungeon too @errant flume . I won't disappoint you LOL)
- Upload.
- Give s1ckboy the project.
- Then I focus back on making my game.
- We all profit.

Same issue here - No one could join due to a networking error. They get stuck on the "Who are they" screen when loading in, which I assume is just the black loading screen originally
Disabling Diversity worked. I haven't tested the .config settings mentioned above, tho

There is a problem that happens atleast 100% of the times if you do this, if you disable the entity "Watcher" (putting it on false in settings) any time you try to go to any moon, it will get stuck in the "random seed" part and lock the game from continuing aslong as the watcher is "false", also, i cant find anything important on the logs
(i did this both in a modded version and in a clean new one with nothing but diversity, in both, the same error happend in every test, so its would be super eassy for you to replicate ๐ )
another error that is also important:
if you kill a bracken while its dimming your flashlight, any survivor from it will have every flashlight they touch just give out no light (even if they can be turned on, the light just doesnt show) and remain broken

So, I saw that you fixed the issue where the watcher's hands were showing up behind the vents, but the flashlight's light is still making shadows with his hand while invisible

Not really, it was updated to v73 just recently but nothing new was added to it
Although Diversity havent been getting additional features, there are quite a few mods that came out, or were updated with insane amount of content (looking at Wesley and Xu)

No, the project has sensitive code. He will send me the project once he finds time and has power so I can help him maintain it. This also doesnt mean Iโll push out updates on a regular nor does it mean he abandons this project, just that he has me as a maintainer to help fix issues that are still lingering around or would come with upcoming updates for lethal.

When you approach Bracken, your flashlight will dim. If you are killed by him or teleport away from him, your flashlight will remain dim until you get close to another Bracken.

Some of the coolest thing releasing have been modded weathers they are super cool, and something that badically didnt exist before
Lethalelements adds snowfall blizzard solar flare heatwave toxic smog, legend weathers adds majora and blood moon, wesleys weathers adds blood rain, spooky theme, hurricane and earthquakes
And weather tweaks + weather toolkit adds the option to combined those weathers so you can have stormy + eclipsed, or snowfall + heatwave, or progressive weathers like rainy > stormy, meaning that throughout the day the weather will change from rainy to stormy
