very stupid idea, a very rare secret enemy which is basically just a ghost girl reskin into a dark silhouette that disappears when spotted for a moment but without being able to chase or affect gameplay at all. considering the amount of people that use this, i think it'd get a few spooks

they're both ways to get more inventory spots, so you can disable the perks that do it if you want to just use the utility belt and default inventory
otherwise you're going to end up carrying like 9 things at a time
true! but, erm, I wanted to keep AC's inventory slots (just to be able to hold 6 at a time, at a high xp cost) AND have the utility belt to be able to hold 2 more (above the rest of the slots) but at the cost of like 20 pounds in weight
that way we can have someone be the "carrier" or something

iirc I think every enemy has a max cap of how many spawns, however you realistically don't see most get to their cap due to how the outdoor/indoor power cap works
Like there can be a max of 8 Eyeless Dogs at once, but you'll never see anything like that in the vanilla game cause both of these reasons:
- No area has an outdoor power cap of 16
- Other enemies can take up space, some of which are invincible so they can never free up the space for power for that trip

(after previously taking it off to grab said apparatus and run) Lethal things utility belt throwing a fit over something whenever i specifically hovered over the apparatus and went away when i started to move the other way. The apparatus other than scanning could not be interacted with. Was unable to repeat it, however figured i'd put this here in case it wasn't an isolated event as the only mod i saw pop up was lethal things. (though in theory it could have been a few mods such as moreinteriors or the recent lethallib update. (and i'm aware a few mods dealing with the apparatus in particular are having some de-sync issues, though this was in a solo lobby)

Idea for the mod:
I love the idea of a landmine just strapped onto a roomba, but it following players was a bit jarring.
I'd love if it had an option to move around like a real roomba, going in straight lines and then turning a bit when it hits a wall or something and then back to a straight line. Only blows up if the landmine on top is triggered like any other landmine

half the time forest keepers also just go to where the flare was fired instead

Apparently the vanilla terminal checks for that field as well but it doesn't show up there so I'm guessing that's currently accomplished by different means?

At default 0 lb - you can always outpace the boomba explosion if running perfectly over it.
The problem is when it grows sentience when it's supposed to have the object permanence of a damn baby... and turns around as you run over it
tis why it's best to just run over them and round a corner
a + hallway is the best for dealin' with a boomba imo
note: explosions go through walls. The rounding of the corner isn't for the explosion, it's for the line of sight

What exactly is Maggie? I'm trying to figure out an incompatibility and I was under the impression that Maggie was an unimplemented enemy, but there is a lot of code in the sourcecode of LethalThings that suggests it actually does quite a lot. It almost seems like an extra Masked enemy? Which would explain the incompatibility a lot

Might have been tied to the funny teleporting bug with Mirage before it's most recent update XD, you could teleport someone and it would teleport their masked first before them if they had a mimic of them spawned

i think its a vanilla+this mod issue. Charging any item teleports you in front of the charger, right?
kinda just guessing in the dark but when you charge something it probably tags you with an isAtTeleporter bool and then once you're done charging, it puts all players with that bool into the correct coords... or something like that?

The idea is that, in base game, if you disable any item and then go back into a save file in which that item was enabled, LethalCompany is going to re-order itemIDs of every item in the game, and therefore you're going to end up with all your scrap/items swapped with other scrap/items.
that's bad, so
Advanced company makes it so that doesn't happen, and instead replaces the disabled items with those red blocks
you can just throw out the red blocks and continue playing.

I think this mod might be messing with discounts. I've been having a bug with modded items not being on their advertised sale almost since I started modding the game. This was one of the first mods I added, and now that I've temporarily removed it suddenly the discounts are working again

I've had LethalThings through all interations of my modpack/s and it's never caused issues, other than the utility belt sometimes but those are known issues and easy to get around
i do not love how my seperate modpack has better performance then the one with my client sided mods...
If there's any problems that do arise with the Utility Belt, doesn't the Wheelbarrow/Cart work somewhat as a substitute as that item? Definitely not an elegant item for indoor use but for outdoors it'd be handy
i used the OP wheelbarrow(configs set to really op numbers) it still has drawbacks like sound

Just wanted to report that even if the "FlareGun" is disabled, I managed to stumble upon "FlareGunAmmo" on the floor (on a new fresh save, first day on experimentation)
Same thing with the RocketLauncher, even though it's disabled I managed to find it on the floor as well in the same circumstances.
Which tells me this is the same underlying issue and related to the "LethalCompanyRemnants" mod:
yeah that makes sense and that is not something i can fix on my end.
the way that mod adds items as scrap is that it hooks some lethallib functions for registering the items, but does not consider that the items might be disabled later based on configuration syncing

It appears that in the current version of Lethal Things. If you buy a new Rocket Launcher, drop it on the ship, leave the game, and then reload the save at a later time. The rocket launcher loads with no ammo present.

I've run into an issue where ammo does not save for the rocket launcher and shotgun. for the shotgun it resets to 2 bullets everytime I open the save. for rockets it removes all ammo when i open the save even if said ammo was never used
Maxwell sells the ammo for catnip whenever you're not around
So for some reason when I put utility belt into the terminal to purchase it, the price for the hacking tool is displayed yet it still shows that I'm buying the utility belt. I purchase it and when the dropship comes it ends up dispensing the hacking tool anyway

So I booted up the game again and it gave the correct price and item this time. So something has to be bugging out upon initial loading
i have an idea for a new item: the bear trap
The bear trap is a piece of equipment that you can buy from the store but also (maybe) find inside/outside on the moons
The bear trap can be placed down, and when a non-invincible creature/player walks over the bear trap, it damages them and slows them down
If you're a player, you can remove yourself from the bear trap by crouching for around 10 seconds (you get a prompt on-screen to help players not familiar with this game mechanic)
Hoarding bugs can pick up bear traps but they will activate and damage them
teh amount of time for which a bear trap remains on a monster depends on their stun multiplier and whether or not they can be damaged
Any invincible monster that walks over the trap (coil-heads, giants, jesters) will activate the bear trap but simply fling it away from themselves
(i think it would also be really funny to have the ghost girl just throw active bear traps in a random direction lol)

I was informed that many things in lethal things are hardcoded and could cause conflicts with other mods. Now I am not that good at making mods yet, but is there a way that there could be a more friendly implementation of the hardcoded features for compatibility?
Also is this even a large problem? I know quite a lot of mods that add items use LethalLib.
Is this only a compatibility problem for mods that use Lethal Expansion or another form of item implementation?
I ask because I am trying to pursue Stability for my mod pack as well as have it feature-packed. I would hate to get rid of Lethal Things if I run into a problem. I love it dearly.

Like EvaisaTraps for the tp trap, EvaisaEnemies for the boomba, EvaisaFurniture for the ship furniture, EvaisaLoot for the scrap, and EvaisaEquipment for the rocket launcher and such. Might be a big ask but if you have no plans for updates separating the mods can allow people to use what they want more precisely than the config allows. I just want the boomba, tp trap, and scrap. My group loves these parts of the mod and the rest, even while disabled, can cause issues with other mods

The game saves/loads items based on their numerical index in a list meaning if any mod adds or removes content (including vanilla) all your items in your saves will change
That may be something that Discount Alert would have to fix.
