It does, only issue with LCBetterSaves itself right now is that, past 10 saves, it will start reshuffling the saves all over the place.
But as far as LGU is concerned, each LGU file is associated to a LCSaveFile when it exists and always have the same identifier.
so i'm loving the update.. only gripe is that i think hunter might be overpriced... I think maybe 500 for tier 1 then 300 and 400 for the next tiers. I would also switch thumper from tier 3 to 2 and baboon hawk from tier 2 to 3. just my input. loving it so far though
change prices in the config. I guess I could add the option to switch the tiers around

Hello, just want to report a possible bug here.
I played with 10+ friends using LGU 2.8.2. Yesterday, we bought stimpack, later on if someone receive damage, all other players screen showed "Received Critical Damage" and turn slightly red. The red effect reset after pulling the lever. We unnloaded stimpack and restart the game using the same file. A few rounds later, 2 players still encountered the bug. Today, i as a host , disable buying of stimpack using config, the "bug" hasnt happened anymore.
I tried to replicate with 2 other players but nothing happened. Not sure if it only happens with more than 4 players or there is a specific triggering reason.

hey, I'm new to this server but I came here to suggest a new option in the configuration settings. sorry if it has been suggested before, I didn't bother to read the whole chat. what i want to suggest is that it should be configurable for both the normal and the advanced portable teleporter to change whether you keep your items when using the teleporter. because as of now, you can configure it for both at the same time, but I want to make it that only the advanced portable teleporter keeps your items instead of both/none of them
I actually agree with this. Kinda weird that the normal porta tele keeps stuff, or that the advanced cant. No nice middle ground.

Are spiders unaffected by Protein Powder?

Yesterday when I Played with a friend, I maxed protein powder, set the crit chance to 1 (should be 100% chance), I was able to one hit dogs for example, but I could never deal more damage to nutcracker (hit one 3 times and it didn't die). But my friend was able to one hit them. I was the host

v45 added a transmitter ship upgrade where you can send short text to all players, that upgrade makes the text pop up faster

lvl 1 allows you to one shot hoarding bugs and snare flees
protein powder lvl 2 and hunter lvl 3 = team up with a bud that has a zap gun and kill EVERYTHING and harvest their goods
It's not really compatible with TerminalExtras
if you type "light footed" you will buy that upgrade and turn off/on the ship light at the same time

Nutcracker has hit box only in his eye. While you can't see the eye you don't deal damage with it
Well, I did hear a "fleshy?" sound when I hit him and I also aimed at the eye, so I do think that I hit him
May be better to have logged all do-damage events and all the enemy's health after it to figure out what is happening.
Does everyone in your game get the upgrades or just one person?
Default value on "Misc -> Share all upgrades" config is true so it should share to everyone the upgrade when bought.
If it's false, only the upgrades marked as shared in the configs will be shared to everyone when bought.

So 2 concerns...
- is it yet known that the protein powder doesnt work for killing spiders or baboon hawks? Also assuming this is the case for nut cracker as well from comments above though I havent tested it. I have damage set to 5 and have killed the thumper, bracken, hoarding bug, snare flea, and masked that it has worked on... Unknown if spore lizards are unkillable or not but I hit them 3 times as well no luck... Can this get updated to include spiders, baboon hawks and nutcrackers? (still untested on that one)... [I refuse to test this with dogs...]
- The hunter upgrade only drops loot for snare fleas and hoarding bugs... Im hoping this can be updated for spiders, baboon hawks, masked and thumpers (as stated before still untested for nutcrackers and dogs) I did upgrade to hunter level 2 with nothing additional... I assume that just made the loot more valuable...
Spore lizards are unkillable.
This is just a patch on the shovel so it should work on anything it hits

But since the HitEnemy only updates SandSpiderAI's "health" instead of EnemyAI's "enemyHP", spider never gets faster so it's basically useless.

Hey ๐ I was wondering if that could be possible to add the advanced store menu into the terminal help page directly, instead of typing lgu to find it because it doesn't feel very vanilla friendly and it would be nice to see the menu here, it would feel more integrated to the game (I'm about to start playing with this mod and some friends and I know that's the kind of things they could feel like it's modded and not part of the game)
Is the peeper not working for anyone else? Not sure if I'm experiencing a conflicting mods issue or if it's just bugged on its own
Oh right I think the most recent patch with the peeper transpiler broke it. I saw another pr saying he forgot to evaluate the returned bool or something. I can get another patch out real soon I'm just focusing on the mod jam rn.

Peeper worked a few days ago but when only peeper had eyes on a coil it tried to move and stop on the same frame, every frame. The noise was very loud.
And then a jester decided to spawn so we all dipped within 30 seconds
Found an odd bug with the GameMaster mod(while I was checking different mods with it, along with this)
If you kill an Eyeless dog with a shovel(for example), you can't pick up the sample, and also can't interact with anything else anymore, except the ship's lever
The rest of the samples work normally
Did you kill the dog without being eaten (since it has god mode)?
I only managed to pick up anything when I killed the dog without being them hitting me.

I would love to have an upgrade where your walkie talkie becomes permanent and doesn't take up a slot. Similar to how Night Vision Goggles are an expensive upgrade to flashlights.

That's not the same. You lose those on death and you still have to buy walkies. Also, that mod is incredibly buggy in my experience.

I have had that happen in multiple different lobbies, so it's not just an issue with my mod pack.

it depends on config, base night vision isnt as good as a flashlight for constant exploration, only useful for lighting up a room shortly

i have NEVER had the reserved flashlight mod break and i use like 50 other mods with it
a pro flashlight lasts around 300 seconds, night vision lasts 9 seconds at default, then around 15 at max with a recharge time (on default settings)
especially since its lost on death by default, its not outdoing flashlights lmao

that's probably why it's so stable and makes your experience not a good analog to others'

i run 34 mods, my crew regularly only ever has issues in regards to bigger lobby and morecompany and those are known problem mods when it comes to lgu due to the lobby borking itself
even then the problems with morecompany/bigger lobby are fixed by restarting the lobby itself
so its never a big issue
sometimes. it makes the game more likely to have issues on startup.
it can also have issues in-game with sync issues
same as latecompany has issues with a TON of other mods

Speaking of ReservedStuff, there's that one issue between LGU and Reserved that basically makes Back Muscles increase your weight everytime you pick up any item meant for reserved slot.

Everyone worked just fine except spider, it still took five hits.
So I went to check the code to find out why.

And no, base.HitEnemy does no logic. It just makes logs and sounds.

Night Vision doesn't work with Diversity's FullDarkness
FullDarkness works originally but activating Night Vision reenables the player's natural light source back to original, removing the darkness
I presume the way how Night Vision works is setting natural light source to 0 for removal, then puts it back to 1 (or whatever value original is) which would lead to incompat

In our games it only seems the person who purchases the upgrades recieves them

You got to enable shared upgrades in the config, config is called moreshipupgrades.cfg and should be under misc.
I've been testing some mod profiles and I noticed when quitting out of a day without saving and loading that same day from save lgu stuff like night vision battery is twice as strong as it should be (double duration in that case). Known issue?

Teleport buttons did not care about the config of dropping items or not.
And the fact that vanila spider only takes 1 point of damage from any source. I patched so that it actually cared about the amount of damage dealt on it.

Let me better explain, When I would TP, I always keep my stuff (Im host), when my friend TP's, he always drops his stuff on version 2.8.4 and 2.8.5. On 2.8.3, we dont have those issues

I always check configs and edit them before sending my file for them to sync their stuff with mine. We tested both versions and both version 2.8.4 and 2.8.5 would always cause anyone other than host to drop their items when using Advanced Teleporter but host doesnt lose theirs
Correct, this is how it acts. Client works on 2.8.3, none higher than that

the new option for advanced tele was private set. I didn't know it behaved that way but it was the only thing I could think of to change it to just get; set;
Just tested on two lan clients and both host and remote client were able to keep there items teleporting

The rpc to switch teleport drop to false happens pretty close to when the teleport happens. If you have poor enough latency the clients wouldn't have the bool flipped to not drop the items

Has the new patch been fixed yet? The newest update of lgu completely broke our save and made it unplayable, whenever we loaded in we would get taken to a blackish screen and not be able to do anything at all

Folks over at TooManyEmotes get the same issue. After unistalling TooManyEmotes the bug was never seen again
Just so you know I didn't read all of the messages. I just saw the issue on two different mod theads and remembered that I got rid off it by removing TooManyEmotes

actually I just did a solo trip with running shoes lvl 4 and bigger lungs lvl 4 and after I went back to orbit they were not working anymore. When playing with friends it sometimes stops working the second I pick up an item

Nah it is something unrelated. Like even if it is level 1 upgrade and I upgrade it to next one it says "upgraded to level 1". and on terminal it will be showing level 2 but in reality it is level 1...
one time we even had a thing where baboon hawk weren't dropping samples (from hunter upgrade) but eyeless dogs, thumpers still did...
so it basically skipped 1 level???

exactly, the setting below is tied to one of upgrades. so if you put everything to be shared (if true on the first pic) it will not matter what you have set in individual settings of every upgrade

i believe thats because your current health was set to 160 for the upgrade and theres no check to compare if thats what you should be at (above max hp)
you should be at 100 but there isn't really a "max health" its more of "this health should be the most you can reach" so you can go above, but it'll get reset back to normal 100 when leaving a moon as the game would force you to what should be max to heal you
Disabling lighting rod in config makes it so stormy maps spam console with error and no lightings ever occur

Yeah, I'm just testing if everything's alright after the fix.
It was because the variables we're using to catch lightning were stored in a script which is only loaded when it's enabled.

I have apparently been the only one in my group to experience it, also only noticed it in a game where i was not the host, so that may be part of it
as it's uninteractable and the real one also drops, it doesn't actually cause any issues, but kinda odd
