Now I dont know a ton about weapons, but I feel like people only run M4s as they're the most accurate and well, why bother with anything else if every other platform has 2 to 3 times the MOA (all the AK platform guns)? Maybe they reflect IRL, and AKs have attrocious MOA, again, I dont know much, but itd be nice to make them more usable (Im not saying they are unusable, but it would still be nice to be able to use something else than an M4 for medium-long range).

The MOA in game is pretty on par with what it should be. Standard m4 specifications are 2-4 MOA in normal plane-jane military garb, and thats what theyre at.
AK platform was never made for accuracy. It was made to send rounds down range in a weapons system that was reliable and easy for a soldier thats relatively untrained to keep it going.
M4 on the other hand is something that users can swap barrels on, and is realistically able to be made MUCH more accurate. Youre not really swapping barrels on an AK without getting a gunsmith involved, and once theyre shot out its way better to just get a whole new gun.
The difference between the two platforms is realistic tbh
