You already get that with your squad just by using the in-game chat function.
If your squad mates aren't within prox chat range, they will hear you key up on a radio

I’m not interested if I can’t remove it. I imagine other solo players or players with a fixed squad that primarily use discord feel the same.
Why?
Because that’s just extra weight we need to carry around.

Every kg matters and I'm not going to run stuff I won't use. If I could unequip my knive, I would.
I understand why people that want to reach out to others would like features, but I'm honestly not interested in having other people comm into my game from kilometers away.
I'm typically always happy to help people that I come across in the field and do that often. But I want more control over people injecting themselves into my play experience like that (such as through remote audio comms) and that's not a feature I'm going to use.
Which is ultimately why my request would be if something like this is implemented, it can be removed entirely and not madatory gear.
