I believe tracer fires eould be a quite interesting addition to GZW.
What this entails is Thats if a player is using tracer rounds, and hits a flammable object, for example a tree, a bush, a wooden table, or a log house, a small fire will appear where the round hit.
Now this shouldn’t cause large forest fires, but I believe it should just be a small spitfire tyat doesn’t spread alot. (However if it did spread it would be a cool tactic to flush an enemy out from a position)
I think if this is implemented it shouldn’t always cause a fire, probably a 5-10% chance, and that varies over distance and bullet velocity, because the faster a bullet is travelling the less likely the fire from the tracer will spread to objects it hits, especially if it penetrates.

GZW takes place in a jungle environment that is humid and often wet. During the wet season, it’s extremely unlikely that a tracer round would start a fire, because almost everything is damp most of the time.
In the dry season, the risk is still very low unless a tracer hits genuinely flammable or dry materials — which could happen in some towns, especially wooden ones like Ban Pa, maybe?
In the jungle itself, even during the dry season, humidity remains relatively high, so ignition is still unlikely.
Because of this, implementing fire mechanics for tracer rounds would probably be a lot of development work for a very rare edge case.
Ah yeah that is a good point, forgor to account for that lol
this could actually be a great feature, but for oil spills or fuel barrels. not sure how it could fit, but tracer interactions with something in the world for any kind of effect is a cool idea
Yeah, maybe there could be propane tanks laying around, most likely attached to a bbq or something? Or maybe even those static vehicle’s fuel tanks
