Hi! Do you have any plans to upgrade to UE5.7 to take advantage of Scalable High-Fidelity Rendering / Nanite Foliage for better handling of dense foliage and LOD optimization?

They will more than likely continue to upgrade as the engine matures, but as a rule of thumb, its not good to ride the most current update.

since 5.7 is what they currently are working on, that means 5.6 would be the most recent safe engine to run on

since 5.6 is as complete and polished as it will be now

im also unsure as to weather or not Nanite Foliage would even be able to be used since there is a proprietary engine (Skalla) handling all the foliage in GZW

Yes, of course! I was mainly asking with the future in mind, as I imagine that migrating to a new engine version isn’t that simple. I also didn’t know that GZW uses a proprietary engine like Skalla to handle all the foliage.
